Hi everyone! I am not really one to post anything very personal on my blog, but so many of you ask about my Mom so I thought I should share some news with you. My younger brother decided a few weeks ago to bring our Mom out to live with him in California as she was starting to have some issues with living by herself. He called to tell me that my Mom passed away quietly in her sleep. She was nearly 93 and had a really happy full life. I will miss my Mom greatly, she was my rock.
I had already scheduled the daily blog posts for the week and they will go forward as planned. I need to try to keep things as normal as possible but I am going to have some quiet time for happy reflection and probably some more tears, I am certain. I have been very fortunate to have had both of my wonderful parents into their early nineties. I have been truly blessed. All for now, Sue x

So sorry for your loss, Sue. My parents are now 84 and in fragile health and it won't be long before I face this kind of great loss. I will keep you and your brother in my thoughts and prayers and hope that you will be able to find comfort and solace during this difficult time.
Oh Sue, I'm so sorry for your loss. The plus side is that your mum had a long, full life. I lost both my parents within six months of each other, Mum passed on the night of Mother's Day in 2007 and I was 10,000 miles away in Sydney with n way of getting back early. They were both 85. Don't try to hold in your emotions as it really does do you good to have a darned good cry. Now, after almost 10 years of losing my dad I can think of him and mum with a smile instead of endless tears. That will come to you in time. Embrace your family on both sides of the pond at this sad time. Sending you warm hugs and kisses.

I´m shocked at the moment and don´t know what to say...
I´m so very sorry to hear your sad news.
My grandma who I loved very much passed away in her sleep too.
My father died within half an hour 11 years ago. That was a shock for all of us but I said to myself the only consolation is that they didn´t had to suffer for a long time.

I have just read your very, very sad news. I am so sorry to hear that your lovely Mom has passed away. Some little comfort is that she went peacefully in her sleep. I know from experience how much of a comfort that is knowing that she did not suffer. My Mam died three years ago aged 94 and I still miss her so much. Take as much time as you need to grieve knowing that we are all here for you. She was a special lady who in some respects you shared with us all, when you told us about her birthday parties etc. She will be missed by many people and my thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and her friends. Such sad news. I lost my own mum just two weeks ago and the feelings are still raw. Take comfort in the memories you shared. My sincerest condolences to you and your family.
Oh Sue Im so very sorry to hear about your mum, I lost my mum in 2009 and I still find it difficult as I always used to ring her on a Sunday morning to have a weekly chat with her, and I do miss that so much. And the biggest tear breaker for me is when I go shopping and see her favourite chocolates on the shelf in the supermarket that always leaves me in tears.
I know its going to be hard not having her around but I also know you have such wonderful memories of her and the love she gave you please shut your eyes and imagine her hugging you and you will find such comfort in that at this difficult time. My love and hugs go out to you and also my prayers.
