Good Sunday morning all! A pretty pansy wreath card today. I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Climbing Vines embossing folder for a textured background. I cut ten pansies of varying sizes out of white card. I sponged in some Dusty Concord ink through the die before removing them, then added eyelash strokes with the matching Distress ink pen for more detail. I selected a piece of eggplant card (from my stash) to use as the solid colour behind the flowers and sponged a bit more ink for depth. Pansies come in so many different colours that I found these really fun to make! I arranged all the flowers into a wreath and attached them to the embossed background. I sponged a piece of white card with a couple of shades of green distress ink and cut a variety of leaves from it. I sponged in the veins with Forest moss distress ink, then arranged them around the flowers. I cut the Ornate Octagons Striplet in white and backed it with the same eggplant card. I mounted it horizontally to the lower portion of the card. I cut the Just Because Ornate frame in white, backed it in white and cut the centre out to create a frame. I stamped my sentiment in black and covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet. I peeled the backing paper off, centre the frame over it then glittered the exposed adhesive with Diamond Snow. I added it to the centre of the striplet. Finally the card was completed with my pierced mat layer, an eggplant mat and another final white mat layer. The finished dimensions are 7" x 9" in size.
