Backgrounds

Hi crafters and welcome back.  A single die is on offer during this post, but it is a real beauty.  The Cathedral Background die is just so pretty and can be used in so many ways too.  The die comes in four pieces so there is a huge versatility to it.  The large oval piece in the centre is beautiful enough on it's own, but use it with the outer frame and you can see in this sample just how pretty it turns out.  I know you will want to be included in this drawing so don't forget to leave that comment.  There are instructions on the right hand side of my blog if you are unsure how to leave comments!  Please join me back here at 4pm for the last post today.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue

Oooooh, pretty! I do love backgrounds, all that snippy goodness, paper piecing opportunities, something to put pretty colours underneath (*sigh*). This is stunning, reminds me a bit of a stained glass/ leaded window... I think... it reminds me of something else pretty and intricate anyway as that's what this is. All the things I like in a die.

So far Sue, I've had more "needs" in a row than any other collection. I'm supposed to prioritise but not doing very well at tbat as they're all so pretty. Congratulations, theses dies, if it were possible are getting better and better.

Tracy, what a man you have! Just the right tonic, a trip to the craft shop. Sending lots of hugs for tomorrow and some for today too! Xxx

Sam Smithard, lovely to have you back, I've missed you. Hope you continue to recover well and be up to visiting every day, hugs xxx

Melody and Molly, hope Grandad Francis can come home today, sending you all hugs xxx

Yvonne, you are so sweet to care for your MIL but please don't overdo it. Make sure you fit in the me time you need, Hugs xxx

Beth B, hope you're ok, sending hugs and hope to hear from you soon xxx

Ok, think that's everything. If not I shall rectify that in a later post. Hugs to everyone, plenty extra here if you need one. Have a happy Monday...!

Hi Sue
When I saw this die I was trying to imagine what it would look like 'in the flesh' so to speak and was struggling. Now that you have given us your take on just one of the possibilities I have to say I am bowled over. It is absolutely sensational. I am stumped as to how on earth you come up with so many beautiful designs to delight us all with. Thank you x
WHEELY BAD - bless you - thanks for your concern. Me time is definitely on the cards - specially today - much easier when the boys are not here. MIL is still at her daughters for now. I get on really well with them so my sis in law is well aware of my 'issues' and well aware of what her mum is like so I won't be expected to do anything that will make me poorly. Feet are firmly up today x
TRES - whatever rocks your boat eh? We don't understand each other but us men and women should just smile sweetly and accept the other's 'funny little ways' x
REBECCA - listen passable is fine - faking it is always useful! x
TRACY - I firmly believe that you completely deserve all of Sue's new dies. Tell hubby I say so. Will be thinking of you tomorrow when your treatment begins. Lots of love x
Must go - more putting my feet up to be done. See you later

Sue & WW,
Ahhhh, there it is! I've been waiting for this ever since you used the outer portion on another card. Now that I see the rest of it, I'm happily flabbergasted!!!! I just don't know how you do it, but am so glad you do!
This goes into "Wish Lust" in bold print!!!
Jan from Long Island, you said it so well, Sue's "artistry is pure perfection"!
Linda N - I think a little milking is in order. Under different circumstances it might be bad, but it's SW! Some husbands buy flowers (or jewelry if they can afford it) when they are "in the doghouse" (I don't know if that's only an American phrase), SW dies won't wilt and they provide a useful service as well as hours of entertainment!
Jan from NSW- saw your post awhile ago about Sue's dies not becoming available in AUS til maybe January - are you able to buy online thru Joanna Sheen? I would be in bad shape if it weren't for that shop as my local craft stores carry a paltry few Sue dies and they tend to be older releases (which I scoop up anyway because I'm relatively new to the Sue stalkers, uh, I mean fans :o)
Well, as u all know, I could go on forever, but I have an opportunity to meet with a friend and start working on Christmas cards (yes, I'm only just starting)! So I better get busy...
Tracy S, I hope you are stocking up at the craft store! I will be offering you a virtual hand to hold, or a shoulder to lean on tomorrow (or whenever you could use one). xxx
You too Melody & Molly, and anyone else who wants one. Xxx
Hugs friends!

Well the craft shops trip to craft world in Glasgow was the quickest time ever I'd been round it. 15mins that's a record. I had a wee list. Hubby said he was staying outside but then sneaked up on me to double check my basket had none of the item be and my friend Janice had bought for Xmas. I was under strict instructions. Lol.
I did buy a mini striplet think it was rose meadow and the embossing folder that resembled it some cards a few bits n nobs and hubby bought me a nice spellbinder one of his choosing as he was buying it! Can't complain lol
