Classic Poinsettia and Mosaic Poinsettia

Good morning all!  Let's start the day off right with a double dose of dies to win!  The Mosaic Poinsettia and the Classic Poinsettia die sets are on off this hour.  These sets can be used separately or combined as I have done here on this sample.  Remember those twigs from yesterday?  I just love the way they look when used with these poinsettia dies too, don't you!  The Classic Poinsettia has matching stamps to it as well.   Leave a comment here to be entered in the drawing.  The next post is up at noon today.  All for now, Sue x

Hugs to all Wilsonettes, stay strong and well, peeps.
Robbie has intentionally moved a thigh muscle and has touched one of his thumbs to the ring finger. Yeah Robbie, his mom and dad are hopeful that the body is slowly waking up from the trauma, I am with them on that.

Well it's not morning here in Canada yet, there's still another hour to go till midnight in my part of the country, but I couldn't wait to have a look, and I'm sure glad I did. The card is gorgeous...the poinsettias set it off. I didn't want to take a chance on winning, so...I already bought the filigree one, but maybe I'll be lucky and win these.

morning Sue

A beautiful way to start the day. I love this seasonal flower - even though I can never keep one - and these dies are just the flourish to complete a beautiful gift. They fit together with the twigs from yesterday just showing how versatile your dies really are.

Cameeli - welcome home - it's lovely to see you again.
Norah - you remember what we were talking about yesterday; well here's a really good example; I had been sat all morning crafting and as usual had sat too long without getting up and having a stretch. My lovely Mr.E had been in the garden and had brought in two big bowls of green beans (far far too many for us to use before we return and I cannot freeze here as we turn everything off)and placed them into the big sink at the same time commenting on how they needed to be picked and something done with them as they were getting too big and would be stringy. I had got lunch on the table and we were chatting nicely when he just says 'are you going to go and sit on the bed to rest your legs and back this afternoon?' It was a really good job that the carpet beater was in the veranda and we were sat at the kitchen table!
Steph - hope everything went well yesterday and continues for the week.
Pam - fantastic news on the Robbie Front - 'you can do it Robbie'. It doesn't matter how long it takes.

I opened the shutters this morning to a very misty/dull grey and rather cold day. It's just like an Autumn morning.

Hoping everyone is feeling a little better and brighter this morning; ready to keep up with Sue and her fantastic dies (I wish I had some of her energy - a little bit would do).
Take care in whatever you do. See you at 12.00.
Janet x

Im hoping to be able to keep up with the blog today, at 12 I shall actually be at the hospital, so wont be posting on that until turned 1pm but the rest will brighten my 'uncomfortable' day so thank you Sue xx

Barbie, try to get to our haven as soon as you can, or ring first to see if she has what you want and get her to hold it back for you (Id hate for you to lose out if you dont have to) Id forgotten Id be on my back all day, so I wont get there today : ( I can at least see the rest of the collection here, then hope to goodness the one Id like is still available to order (but its doubtful)

Cam - something doesn't feel right. Hope all ok.

To my darling wonderful friends, you know who you are and how special you are to me, I hope you have a good day, sending you my love.

Have a wonderful day Sue, and thank you.

GM Sue - love these - and that branch die with them is genius - I wouldn't have thought of combining those - I was thinking of something rather more obvious such as putting birds and/or leaves on them! Looking at them here they remind me of the twigs you often see displayed in clear vases with tiny lights on and pine cones and/or baubles in the bottom - back later!

What a stunning and striking card. I love poinsettias particularly cream ones. I have a poinsettias die that I use every year and to be fair change the colour and you have a year round flower!
I buy poinsettias every Christmas and do a special card for those who have had a difficult year and for those who supported me through difficult times two years ago. They have never been forgotten.
Steph, good luck today. Shame you are not in hospital locally I could have called in to keep you company. Which die have you got your eye on I am torn between the tree and Angel plus love a peace and believe.

Norah my him in doors out of same box does not a thing in the house or garden, has to be asked 5 times to do anything, lives in his own bubble and says why are you tired when I have been on my feet 10 hours on a night shift, slept about 3 hours and carried on as cook, cleaner, bottlewasher and cared for a 7 year old! Typical!
Well folks see you later. School uniform today and then off to craft shop!! Xxx

Yet more beautiful Sue. I really love poinsettias and not just red ones. I always opted for cream coloured ones when there was a choice but I haven't seen any for a few years - but with these dies I can make my own LOL.

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Oh how spoilt we are this week with beautiful dies and the beautiful cards that they can make. I fell for the mosaic & plain poinsettia. Thank you Sue for such beautiful dies, i just wish that i could get them all but slowly will do if you don't bring out anymore for a year.
Good morning Cameeli,it's so nice to see you back with us. I hope you had a wonderful time in New York flower and have brought back a lot of happy memories.
Oh Pam flower, that is brilliant news for Robbie and given such a renewed sense of hope for your beloved wee brother and his family. That boy has grit way down in there that is determined to be seen and felt, GO ROBBIE GO. Are you feeling that bit better after your near miss the other day? I do hope so and that you are becoming stronger and more stable on your four legs. Sending you some healing hugs dear friend.
Dianewithchips, i hope that you are resting in the hospital so that you are pack with get up and go for coming home(but slowly does it with the get up and go). Please try and behave so that you are allowed home, i'm just sad that you are in hospital in the first place. Sending hugs up to you and hope that you are back among us in the outside world soon.
Happy Birthday to your little mum NannaTina, i hope that she has a wonderful day.
Oh Janet, contrary isn't the word for the men in our lives. I went to meet my friend Di yesterday morning which mine knew off and then i had the wee lad to take out for lunch and get messages for my mum who has COPD, came back tidied up and was jiggered so went and lay down. His nibs comes in at the end of his first day back and says "have you bothered doing anything today" so it is just as well your carpet beater was in France otherwise i could have given it some practise and exercise. Mine knows that i am making my special niece's wedding stationery and that there is flowers to go on, well i got some from Sweet Lilac to try and there he started about all the "rubbish" that hangs around the house. Now this is the man that told his parents when we started going together that i was different because i didn't smoke or drink, played bowls(pre back break)sewed, knitted, made things, could work a spanner and screwdriver with the same ease, i was everything that was perfect. Now i'm not, although i still do all these things except bowl, i ask you is there any pleasing them? I think when he retires i'm going to shove him out to the garage and lock him in there all day to keep out my hair.
Pauline A, i will have my fingers crossed that you get the good news you so need to hear at the hospital.
Steph, i am sending you a big gentle hug the now flower to keep you safe. Thinking of you today and wishing with all i can that you will see so much benefit from the horrible experience, i just wish that i could be there to help you.
We are having a beautiful day up here at the Costa de Glenochil, not warm but a lovely bright day showing up all the beauty that i am lucky enough to live amongst. The berries are on the rowan tree in next doors garden and the wee ones are getting pictures taken on their first day at school along the road and it just makes me think back to my childrens first days. I think that is one of the wonderful things about memories getting these kind of firsts that stay with you. Rory has started back 4th year(probably called year 12 if i can remember right down South)and next week he is going to College for 2hrs on a Monday and Friday for computer programming which i think he is looking forward to. This i wonder how he will get on as he has never been there before and he will be going without an escort which at the moment he is got from the common room for every lesson by the teacher of the subject, but it will be the start of a whole new horizon waiting to open before him so fingers crossed he will enjoy it.
Sending hugs to all the lovely Wilsonettes, i hope you have a lovely day and see you later,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)
