Peeking Die Cut

Hi crafters!  Thank you so much for all the amazing comments about my new Christmas dies, I was absolutely over the moon !  It has been an exciting week with all new dies, but don't forget about the videos!  Here is a new one for you that will hopefully help you to look at your dies a bit differently.  They don't always need to be in full on display to look beautiful, sometimes they can just do a bit of peeking!

Not to be forgotten, here is a list of the winners from each of the individual blogs of last week's blog hop:

Sue Wilson - Jackie Whiteman
Julia Watts - Wendy Armstrong
Tracey Laughton - June Ballenger
Kim Bacon - Lynda Edmondson

Neil Burley - Karen Burton
Tracy Heaton - June Smith
Kerry Hickton - Sam Smithard
Pam Smith - Anne Crawford
Creative Expressions - Crafty Jo

Please email Tracey@creative-expressions.uk.com with your postal details so that they can get your prizes sent out to you.

The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, amazed to see a video after such a busy three days and it's a cracker. Thank you so much.
Very pretty card and love the design and the TC papers. Had a 'scrap' go at colouring flowers and it wasn't such a bad effort, but don't think I'd have the courage to go full frontal on an actual card!!

Anne Crawford - hey, a mistake with good intentions and if I'd read all the comments properly, would have realised. Think it's a real LOL occasion and well done to the real blog hop winners, most of all to you!
Ita - thinking of you and wishing you better days ahead.

Hi Sue,
What A Truly Beautiful Card, I've Already Watched The Video A Couple Of Times Previously On "You Tube" But I Will Watch Once More As I'm Sure I'll Gain Some More Tips From It.
This Card Is So Awesome, Elegant, And Extremely Striking, I Love All The Fantastic Products That You Have Used, I Really Love How You Showed Us How To Get The Most From Our Dies Even Without Putting Them On Full Display.
Fantastic Paper From The Teresa Collins Paper Pad From Creative Expression, The Very Beautiful Mixture Of Dies From The Austrian Collection, They All Look And Work So Fantastic Together.
I Love The Black Eyed Susan Stamp Set From JustRite It's Such Great Value For Money I Have This Set And It Stamps So Clearly, I Was Thrilled To See In The Video You Used The Very Small Flower As There Is 19 Stamps In Total And Some Very Good Sized Ones And I'll Admit Some Time I Forget About The Small Stamps, Unless I Stamp It On The Back Of My Card, But In This Awesome Video You Took Us Through Masking So Creating A Larger Image, I Loved Watching This As I Still Make Mistakes With This!
Sue Thank You For This Fantastic Card And Tremendous Video Once Again, Thank You For All The Tips And Techniques, Thank You For This Fabulous Blog.
Sue From Me On A Personal Note: A Huge Thank You For The Inspiration You Share With Me Daily, I So Appreciate It, Thank You So Much.
Thank You To Yourself And Creative Expression Team For The August Blog Hop, I Was Lucky To Be A Gift Winner, I'm Thrilled.

morning Sue
Hope you're having some R&R after the last few hectic days. It's well deserved and once again a big thank you for all your hard work.
Today's gift is very gentle/soothing and I can see it doing very well as a 'get well' gift. I love the TC papers and today's colours but I always cringe when you scumple ribbon. It's just one of those things that for me ribbon should be tied nice and neat.

Well it's the last of our local vide greniers today for the season for we are off to try and find some goodies and perhaps not be 'the last of the big spenders'.

Steph - hope you're feeling a little better today - that is when you've come round having had all your meds/coffee etc.

Hope everyone is feeling well and going to have a restful day after the last few wonderful launch of Sue's new dies. Take care and see you tomorrow.

Morning Sue,

Congrats on reaching 5100 on your blog. It is a testimony to how well loved you and your creations are. You work hard and bring us such useful hints and tips every day. I do hope you know how much we all love and appreciate you Sue. I love watching your videos and seeing how you do things. I'm a very visual person so I connect so much better that way. Today's card is yet another pretty creation. It's funny, but when you do so something like have the die just peeking out it seems so obvious but truthfully, I know I'd never think of doing that. So thank you once again for your great tip. I honestly love everything you do.

Congrats to the blog hop prize winners. It was great fun!

Good morning Sue and Wilsonettes,
Your card is lovely but i would need to put on either a different paper or emboss the last layer. To the top die cut you have 11 layers on you card, WOW you are definitely winning the award for layering Sue. The papers from this pad make me want to decorate a dolls house as the patterns are small enough to be just right for that purpose. My mother (which she only gets when i am mad at her), stuck me in a dark yucky green needle corded dress with this same sort of pattern that had black tatting lace collar and on the cuffs. To add insult to injury she had my hair cut as well so that i look like a boy, you know one of those bowl around the head jobs that mothers used to do before they invented hairdressers that could do the same damage and get paid for it. The fringe was nearer my hairline than eyebrows, what a star turn i looked i can tell you. Looking back at the school photograph i still shudder at the hideous sight i looked and i hate that frock with a passion. I know the school that it was 100 years old, but she didn't need to get me a dress that was 100 years old as well. Great news on your new record number of fans and that is just the ones that have joined your blog Sue and not including the ones that look in each day in passing.
Well done to all our winners of the blog hop as i am over the moon for you all.
Young Sam, welcome as an honorary Wilsonette. Sue welcomes everyone and especially ones that have good taste to start with and an eye for detail.
Dianewithchips, i hope that you are behaving in the hospital as we want you to come home feeling better than when you went in.
Ita flower, you have been through so much in this last year, i'm just sorry that you are having complications now from your life saving help last year. Sending you a healing hug in the hope that you will turn the corner again soon.
Steph,i hope that you are feeling a bit better today and that your back is easing after the injection of life. Sending you a hug flower in the hope that if you get enough, you will have some get up and go and be feeling a lot better soon.
Having just ironed Rory's school top i noticed that even my ironing board knows what height i am as it only unfolds to about 30", my hip height. This comes around from me trying to find a lightweight ironing board for mum that will also come down to her level for ironing, aren't they heavy and some size, crikey. I know being only 5'1" my self i'm not the tallest around but some of these boards dwarf me and even i could hide behind some as they are that wide. Are they all that heavy nowadays or does anyone know of a lightweight one that i can get for mum? Answers on a postcard/blog would be welcome.
I asked half pint how's school and get back the informative reply of "you know, it's just the same". Same as what i ask, "just the usual". Don't you just love it when our children bond with us in giving us all the news about school, or is it just a Rory thing? College starts Monday coming so fingers are crossed for him, there again it might just be the way my fingers go on their own accord.
From a dreich miserable day in Glenochil i send hugs to Robbie, Leo and all my Wilsonette friends,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah

Hi Sue really pretty card this morning and I love the way you coloured in the flowers - whatever did we do before post it notes came along!!! The peeking dies are pretty too and aren't those backing papers fab! Now was it just me that kept saying "watch your sleeve in that ink pad Sue!!" I'm sure it was just the camera angle but you looked pretty close to getting it on your top a couple of times and that would have been a disaster! Have a great day Sue you deserve a little rest now surely. Take care love Diane G xxx

Hi Sue. WOW !! I love video day !! As usual Sue, your video was fab today. Your card is a little different from your usual style and I absolutely love it !! You have used some beautiful dies, papers and stamps and produced a gorgeous work of art !! However I do agree with Janet (Ecco of Sheffield) , I just cannot bring myself to scrunch up ribbon to make a "messy bow". I to, think it should be neat and tidy !! What a simple but great idea to have dies just peaking out from different papers/ areas. Another thing I would not have thought of doing myself !!
Congratulations Sue on reaching 5100 on your blog !! You should be very proud of yourself. You have achieved so much and touched so many peoples lives. I know that you certainly help me to get through the day - everyday.

Love everything about this card, my preference is to have an image on the outside and the main sentiment on the inside , so this is perfect for me!
Also love the stamping and masking technique , it's amazing how it can make an ordinary stamp into something special and quite different.
The Video is wonderful as usual! and you explain every step so clearly, thankyou.
My comment prize arrived today ( lovely floral stamp set) thank you so much ! So , as it's another wet day I am going to go upstairs to my craft room and try to make a version of your beautiful card.

Hi Sue, congrats on 5100 followers, love todays creation, the black eyed susan stamp is really pretty used several times over itself. I must use my distress markers more. Lol lynne m x x x

Well decided this morning out at the forest that we really needed to keep Cully away from the rabbits so came up with the idea of taking it in turns to hide whilst the other held onto poochies, worked well until said blasted poochies thought it was better to run straight at us jumping up at the last minute to place really really dirty paws on us. I swear the little hooligans had the biggest smirks on their faces. Off back home for their breakfast and us to change clothes. Rest of the day spent with hubby so I could do some crafting. Now led on our bed with me whilst I get some reading done. Hubby said he didn't mind being on his own if poochies wanted to be with me ( more like peace and quiet for him)

Lindsay,June,Karen,Lynda,Alison,Norah,Maria
