The Best of 2013

Happy New Year bloggers!  I can't actually believe that it is 2014 already!  Last year was just a blur it went by so quickly but I am already working hard to bring you new products, ideas and techniques in the year to come.  Another tradition that I have done each year on my blog is to go back and pick out my personal favourite cards to showcase on New Years day.  I always start out with good intentions of selecting one from each month that stands out, but then I find a month like March that had so many that I really loved that my plan just falls to pieces.  So I just selected the ones that really sang to me, sometimes they were the ones with the most comments and other times not.  These just happen to be my personal favourites.  I do so wish that you could see each and every one in person rather than just having to make a decision based on my sometimes rather tenuous photography skills!  Like the black and white card which is so pretty in person that I just couldn't put it down, it stayed on my desk for a week!  Or the baby card, which looks pale yellow in my pic but which was made from our lovely milk card.  Or even the pale pink card with the upside down embossing, proving that they don't have to be perfect to be loved!  Some of these were demos, some were part of the Wednesday Giveaway, some were auctioned off early in the year to raise money for charity, but all of these just sang to me when I finished them!  So here is my list in no particular order.  I hope that over the past year you have enjoyed them as much as I have.  Do you have a favourite?  From my list or one that I perhaps left off the list?  I would just love to know, please share.   Happy New Year!  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue (really hope you are feeling a little better today, you must try to rest a little before your long flight) thinking of you. Happy New Year. I couldn't have got through these past few months without you Sue and your amazing blog, not just for the stunning cards and inspiration you give, but for the new friends and family your blog brings together. Thank you Sue. "THANK YOU" xx
Happy New Year to all my new friends (Wilsonettes) so glad I found you, I have my phone on silent so the tapping doesn't hurt your head ! Self inflicted, no sympathy ! : ) Hope those of you that celebrated had a great time.
How can I choose from all of those stunning pieces of art - an absolute array of W.O.W's (Wonder Of Wilson's) they all have their own powers of beauty and wonder, but they ALL show the same thing - how much love and thought and tenderness has gone into each and every card. I shall spend a lot of this new month (when I've completed those sport come science geek cards) growing my hair back, and going through each and every card I missed on the blog, I cant wait : )
So to all my lovely special friends here, "Thank you" That's ALL I need to say. You are helping me more than you know.

Up my nose
and in my hair, glitter and flakes are everywhere.
The year sped by so craftily fast,
but the sparkles and glitter they just seem to last !
So HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my new
friends,
may our 'Parti' continue and never end.

Hi Sue,
What an array of beauties, and I would suggest you add LOADS MORE of your creations. Stunners one and all. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a HAPPY and HEALTHY 2014!
And I really must extend those wishes to Lancashire Steph, her comments are always a joy to read. I really hope that 2014 will be a better year for you as regards health.
Off to bed again, Katinka has had her "petit dejeuner" and whilst my head is perfectly fine I'm still lacking sleep before the New Year's Concert at 10.15 (courtesy of the red button) - it's a tradition to watch it.
I really hope you are feeling TONS better today Sue.
Hugs, Rose

Have a safe journey tomorrow Sue and I am impatiently waiting to see you once again on C&C or perhaps your own crafting programme!!! Now that would be the best present.

Happy New Year Sue and All the Wilsonettes. Every single one of these cards is beautiful, and you have my favourite among them :) I fell in love with the red/white "Love You" when you first showed it and it is still my no. 1. I couldn't tell you why, it is quite different from your big bowed cards, which I have always loved, but it is simply gorgeous! Maybe subconsciously I felt that I could make a better job of copying it as I can never make my big bow copies anywhere near as good as yours :) Thank you again for all of the fantastic cards in 2013 and I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us in 2014. My day always starts with your blog, then Pams comment. (It's not right when she isn't the first! A special Happy 2014 Pam for always being there along with Sue :)) I wouldn't want it any other way. Take care.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! to Sue and all the Wilsonettes. Sue, I can see why you like those favs., out of those, I think I like the promrose Welcome Baby one, but it's very hard to choose, because I haven't ever thought that you have made a duff one! Occasionally I'm not so keen on your colour choice, but I can always see past that and generally love what you have made. I think out of all, I still like your buckle cards most, they seem so inventive somehow.

I really appreciate all your efforts, out of all the bloggers I follow, only you and Julia manage to make a card everyday, it's such a joy to wake up wondering what I'll see when I come to visit. Thank you so much for brightening my day every morning.

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Well it's the start of a brand new year, with it being calm and i did have a glimpse of sun a minute ago. I hope this is a good year for all friends that i have each morning in all of you and older friendships that have lasted the test of time.
Well todays reprise of your favourites Sue is surprising only in the fact that there isn't a all white card amongst them. And for me there is so many that i really love but the one that does it for me is the last one. Now i love your all white cards as you always make them standout each and every part and i wouldn't normally go for a colourful card, but the friendship card is just so apt to dear friends that are not crafters (don't understand it myself somehow) and the friendships built on your blog. Thank you each and everyone of you that are so kind and make a difference in my day.
Love and crafty hugs

Good Morning Sue,

Happy New Year to you and yours and of course to every one of my fellow blog "friends". Have a good one everyone!

I'm so thankful that you opened the door, so to speak, to allow us to pick a favourite because normally I would not think of doing so because each and every one of them are always so beautiful. However I feel just for today I will make an exception and choose one and I have decided that it just has to be the last one. It is trully stunning and has everything that I personally look for in a card. I just want to finish by saying a HUGE Thank You for your continued inspiration and to say that I am really looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us all in 2014. Thanks for sharing these with us and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Hi Sue. Happy new year to everyone !! WOW, so many beautiful cards to choose from today. It is very difficult as they are all so beautiful !! Well the first card with the autumn leaves is just beautiful !! The black and white "Cheer Up" card is very classy and elegant looking. I do like your Lilac/ Purple "celebrate your special day" card. It is very pretty and feminine with a really beautiful flower !! I think a real favourite is the white or cream with lilac/ purple flowers "you are on my mind" card. Just gorgeous !! Also other favourites from today's selection are the labels 20. " thinking of you" in cream and orange/ rust colours. gorgeous flowers again Sue !! I also really love the unusual colour combo pink and brown Lacey style card " to my forever friend" . Just fantastic and again beautiful flowers !! The last card that is a " book style" is again gorgeous !! With more gorgeous flowers and swirls. My hubby's favourite card is also the last card the " book style" one. He also likes the blue " hello my friend" and yet again more gorgeous flowers and a beautiful filigree style background. There are many other favourites of mine to. I really love the labels four cards you have made over this last year and the cards made using the plain and decorative labels twenty five.
Well I would like to thank you Sue so very much for all the hard work and effort you have put into your blog this year, keeping us bloggers happy with such beautiful daily cards, comment competitions and video demos. WOW !! You have also bought so many people together helping and supporting one another with craft queries and problems as well as personal stuff to. It is very reassuring to know we are all here for one another. It is a great comfort.
Wishing you a wonderful New year Sue and all the Wilsonettes. Lots of love and best wishes Tres x x x
