To A Special Someone

Good Sunday morning all!  Here is another sneak peek from today's shows.  This one was made using the matching cardstock packs from Heartfelt Creations.  They aren't on the show, but they sent them to me so it just seemed rude not to use them, right?  This is from their Majestic Blooms collection and the papers are all done in greens and purples.  I picked out some soft gold card to add to the mix and I loved the way it came out.  It really does make for a quick card to do when you have a matching card pack.  I used a larger section of the card with the soft purpley-wine coloured roses in all the corners and matted it with soft gold card.  Then used one of the smaller sections for my next layer, it had the same flowers but with a decorative green border around it, so I just needed to add my gold mat behind.  I had one of the die cuts from the Raindrops on Roses set that I had actually taken out of the centre of another card so I decided to use it here (see no waste!)  It had been stamped and embossed in gold before cutting so you can see the remnants on it, I thought it was quite pretty like that.  I circle die cut one of the sentiments out of their card pack to use here, then just edged it with some gold ink.  The floral embellishments were made using the Majestic Blooms die and matching stamps.  I stamped it onto soft gold card and heat embossed them with gold powder.  The stamp and die allow you to make 12 flowers at once so I was easily able to layer up and make the four flowers on the card.  I used some Aged Mahogany distress ink to tone in the flowers just a bit then added Cosmic Simmer dries clear glue to the edges and sprinkled them with Iced Snow.  I finished the flowers with cream flatback pearls and added them to my card with some gold tulle.  Two handmade stick pins finished the card along with a double pierced mat layer in soft gold card.  I love the richness to this one!  Finished dimensions are
7 1/4" x 7 1/4" in size.
