Raindrops On Roses

Hi crafters!  Today's card is a pretty one with the Raindrops On Roses and Majestic Blooms collections from Heartfelt Creations.  I used one of the floral stamps from the Majestic Blooms and stamped it around the edge of a piece of coconut white card using a clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed it with white powder for a tone on tone look on the background edge.  I used Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue around the edge and coated it with Iced Snow.  Next I stamped the Raindrops on Roses background using a clear Perfect Medium pad on white card.  I heat embossed the image with white powder.  I painted the roses and leaves with distress inks. I softly inked the entire piece with Tumbled Glass and Seedless Preserves to give the background colour.   I used Rock Candy Stickles on the top of the flowers for accents.  I coated the edges with glue and Iced Snow on this layer as well.  I stamped the large flower background in clear Perfect Medium and then heat embossed in white.  I cut it out with the matching die and used several of the flowers to create a pretty flower.  I pinched the ends of the flowers and created a tight bud for the centre of the flower, then added larger flowers for a larger flower.  I seated it upon a white seam binding bow at the side of the card.  I finished the card with a double white pierced mat layer.  Finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue, WOW!! WOW!! they have to be the sweetest raindrops I have ever seen, simply beautiful and charming!!
Interview was tough, but went well and should know the outcome at the end of next week. fingers crossed.
Can't shake off this cold , but am looking froward to a relaxed weekend and making some cards. After the Interview I popped into a Hobby Craft store and spellbinders butterflies jumped into my basket with a few other goodies. Making love heart and butterfly wishes for the wedding wish tree. Hi Sue. This is beautiful! Both stamped layers are gorgeous. I love both the Raindrops on Roses and the Majestic Blooms sets and you are showing us some fabulous cards and flowers using them. (I kept reading todays blog wrong though and couldn't work out how you had used the Rock Candy Stickles as the background colour, on the 4th read through I worked out my mistake : ) I really must get some new glasses and wake up a bit more!) Take care.

Hi Sue
Just beautiful! I love this Raindrops on Roses stamp - wish I bought the Majestic Blooms too!
Still will have a go at this today when I come home from work (hooray - early finish!)
Thinking of you Cameeli - it must be a strong strain of cold - the coughing really gets me and then I lose my voice - which I'm sure my family are pleased about!!!
Enjoy your crafting Wilsonettes!

And whiskers on kittens !
Morrning Sue just into the new day for you ? Hitting midnight maybe in warm humid Florida ? A hard cold frost here this morning !
A day in for me, too cold.
I fell in love with the beauty of these stamp collections, and have fallen in love with them all over again, certainly a must for my collection at some point, imagin how pretty your cricket pads would look Heather with tiny rose print all over the front, tied together with a Sue Special - a messy bow, beautiful : )
At first look I thought you'd vaught the stickles bug Sue until I read it was iced snow, should have thought really I suppose, yet again, something Id not thought of doing, edging a mat with delicate bling ( I'll that that one for today thank you) you have caught the depth so beautifully on your pictures.
Well Sue, this card sure is one of my favourite things, and now I dont feel sooo baaaad : )
Have a lovely day my lovely Wilsonette beauties, Cameel, you can breath for a while now your trauma is over, hope your 'imagination' didn't have to take over during your presentation, and if it did, then there was someone nice to 'imagin' !!!
Love and hugs to you all. Stay warm and toasty.

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Well, What a beautiful card you have made for our delectation today. I fell in love with the raindrops on roses and majestic sets when i seen them. The majestic seems to make an endless amount of different flowers, making it a great buy, when i save up again. Being on a pension is worse than being given pocket money. At least with my pocket money i could earn extra by the amount of jobs i did, this not being able to do even the simplest of things without suffering for it stinks, oh well waiting on another good day.
I would like this one to be a demo for the top layer most of all with its painting and inking on the background, pleasseeee.
Cameeli flower, i am so glad your ordeal is over now, i need to uncross them now as they have went into severe cramp and want to stay in said position. Now you have done your very best that you can and just like waiting for your o levels, you just need to wait and see that your dream job team see the same as us, that your the only credible candidate deserving of the job.
From a bitterly cold Ochils i wish you all well today and take care out there,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Good morning Sue
Wow! Wow! Wow! I could go on and on, today's cards is absolutely stunning. This die has gone right to the top of my 'I need list' I love making flowers and you can make so many with this die. The background is so pretty another 'I need' I love the glittered edges it makes it 'pop'. Although I haven't got this stamp .......... YET I have others so I can practise my colouring because it makes such a beautiful background.
That's a brilliant idea Steph lol. I'm with you on replacing our lost pets, but what I did when I lost mine was, I planted a rose bush in the garden called 'Remember me' . Although it doesn't take the pain away it gives me pleasure and reminds me of the joy she brought into my life.
So glad the interview went well Cameeli so fingers crossed.

Hi Sue. A truly beautiful card today !! It is so feminine and girly !! Just gorgeous. I love both of the backgrounds you have created Sue. They are both beautiful. The way you have coloured in the top layer with distress inks looks amazing !! It really looks transparent - just like it is vellum.
Very clever. I love your beautiful flower to. It looks very complicated to make. These new Heartfelt Creations dies and stamps look fab.
They will however have to wait now after yesterday. I have had the celebration labels one stamp set on my wish list for a very long time now. I really fell in love with yesterday's card and I showed hubby when he came home from work. We got paid last week and he went and bought them for me !! He said it is to cheer me up as my health has been very bad again lately and other problems to, including hubbys job now under threat. It is all very stressful. Cardmaking is often the only thing that keeps me going and helps me escape it all for a while. (And the fact that I have found such a good man who wants to be with me even though I am always ill.) Thank you so much for your blog Sue, your videos and everything else you do to help us all with our crafting. You keep me going to and I am so grateful. Lots of love to you Sue.
Lots of love to everyone else to love Tres x x x
