Get Well

Hello crafters!  It's a clean and simple sort of post for today.  I was having a play with the Pixie Powders for this one (as you do! LOL)  I chose Straw Yellow, Bronze, Rich Gold and Lava Red for some autumnal kind of colours. I took loads of pictures too so you can really see the shimmer from these colours.  I loved the way it turned out and decided to show off a lot of the background for this one.  I used the largest leaf in the Autumn Leaf Trio set and cut out the aperture of the leaf three times diagonally across the card.  I added mounting foam to the back of the background.  I selected a piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the Butterfly Dreams embossing folder and attached the background over the top of it.  I cut the Get Well from the Feel Better Soon die set and attached it to the lower corner of the card.  Simple white on white mats and layers were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card Sue, so lovely. Delightful Fall/Autumnal feel, perfect for a Get well card.
Muriel, hope you have a good flight home, you will be shattered when you get back so plenty of rest in order. I can never sleep on planes.
Belated birthday wishes to Deb E, hooe you had a lovely day.
June, you are having a wonderful time, lovely for your visit with Theresa and hubby. Betty's today, yum yum, have a great time.
Donita you would love Betty's, the staff still wear the black skirt, white blouses, full aprons and little headdresses from the 40's, so elegant. I'm sure you would enjoy the experience, and of course you have to stick your little finger up when drinking your tea.
Crewe Trish, your trip sounds wonderful. I'm sure the Cruise Line will have a contingency plan in action if need be. Enjoy yourself.
Laine, I'm sorry about your medical problems, try to follow their advice, eat well and rest a lot. The sad news about the neighbouring cat won't help, you must be so worried about Darcy and Brodie. Have you tried speaking to an Insoector about the lack of action of the police.
Tres, I hope Charlie Dogs meds help him, it is amazing what they can do these days.
Elaine, hooe Andrew is feeling better, sending him a hug , you too.
My manager is coming today, she said it was an informal visit, didn't mention bringing someone else, but Lesley will be here. She isnt happy that they haven't followed procedure but we will see how it goes. I really don't feel up to it at the moment but best to get it over with I suppose. Thank you all for your continued support, you are a fab bunch, don't know what I would do without you on my side.
Daily hugs to all, thinking of all our poorly and missing friends.

Dear Sue and Crafters,

What a beautiful fall card! Like a pile of leaves with three special ones on top. I wonder if the three special ones would look good in variations of red or gold instead of embossed. The embossing hints at some strange bug or infection that leaves a butterfly-shaped pox on the leaves.

Wouldn't it be a great scrapbook page, though, or a Thanksgiving gift for Grandma, with the three big leaves being frames for photos of three little darlings?

We can only hope, Pam, that she's bringing a casserole and a card signed by everyone at work. Ask her if she'd mind doing a littlle tidying since you're not up to it. And could she run to the store?

Happy birthday, Deb E. Perhaps you could extend the celebration into next month to be sure all of your qualities are thoroughly celebrated.

It's steak every night for you, Laine! You and the cats! Who would hunt bird when he can eat steak? Yes, I know. Brodie. So sorry about the tragedy with the kitten. That kid is probably expressing worse stuff that happened to him.

Judi Szyndrowski, I requested your friendship on Facebook so we can talk about procuring Sue Wilson and Creative Expressions products in North America. I'm in Rhode Island, between Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Best of Thursdays to everyone.

Love,
Donita

Good morning Sue. Love the way you've captured those gorgeous autumnal colours for your focal piece, and this is definitely the star of the show. The pop of white under the leaf cut outs gives just the right amount of contrast.
Laine, I'm not a cat person - there I've said it! But anyone who deliberately injures any animal should have the same thing done to them. You do right to keep your two safe indoors. Hope a change if diet helps with your health.
Tres, big pat for Charlie dog, hope the squirrels don't torment him too much.
Pam, glad that Lesley will be with you but like Donita's idea of saying "thanks for coming to help me", and presenting them with a list of jobs you need doing! Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Morning Sue. A good 'title heading' for today's sample as I find the Autumnal shades quite comforting, the last vibrant colours yet the golden shades are the final blast before the colour turns to wintery green foliage and bright red pop's of berries. Your background sure brings out the shape of the leaves beautifully.
Sending love, hugs and a day of happiness and laughter xxxx

Wow look at those pixi powders absoloutly stunning I would not have wanted to use it. Lol but you have used it to its best cutting the leaves out it is a stunning card Sue
Pam I like many others don't agree with your managers coming to your home adding to your stress I had the same thing when I had major surgery years ago they came to see me one week after the surgery on the pretence of it being a welfare visit. Yeh yeh all they were bothered about was when I would be able to return to work. Sad state of affairs Make sure your daughter tells them as it is hugs to you Hun x
Laine I had to go back and read your post from yesterday ohh sweetheart you must be so worried about letting your little fur babies out with someone loose with a gun you are right they asr sick in the head for the life of me I do not see what they get from hurting innocent animals and as for the police 👮 they do not give a dam if someone can do that to an animal how lone is it going to be before they hurt a person then the police will be bothered won't they.
Than on top of that worry you are not well a big worry for ya just try to follow doctors suggestions And hopefully you can avoid a hospital stay big and very gentle hugs to you .
June enjoy your champagne will be thinking about ya cheers Hun 🥂🥂🍾
Elaine hope Andrew is feeling a bit better today and your sister in law is improving too and that you get something done re your access xx
Right I better get on so I will leave my usual hugs to those that need one

Hi Sue, despite waking up to sunshine today we are tumbling very quickly into Autumn before we have even had a proper summer - the heating was on! Your card today is just emphasising the fast changing seasons. I love the colours in your Pixied background and the Autumn Leaf Trio shapes are beautiful, I look forward to seeing the leaves you have cut out popping up on another card soon :-)

Laine - please stoke up on your protein to avoid a hospital stay, you need to be well for Sue's next launch! So sorry you have a bad person near you I know how worrying it can be as some years ago we had a neighbour who had an air gun and practised in the back garden, I was terrified every time my cats were out.
Margaret D - so glad your results were clear but what a dreadfully long time they kept you waiting and worrying.
Tres - so sorry that the news for Charlie dog was not better but hopefully the meds will help and he can lead a reasonably normal life but one that doesn't include chasing squirrels.
Pam - glad that Lesley will be with you for your manager's visit, hope it all goes well.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What an explosion of pure autumnal colours, fabulous! I really love the rich golden tones, so evocative of crisp, sunny autumn days with the sunlight shining through the multicoloured leaved trees in their final bloom of the year, lovely. The autumn leaves die is stunning, i adore its shape and it leaves a gorgeous aperture. Beautiful card Sue, really striking and it certainly encourages me to get out my pixie powders for a good old play;-)
You know that saying, four seasons in one day in relation to the weather? Well, that's precisely how Stirlings weather has panned out lately, everything from rain, wind, sunshine, frosty temperatures and sunbathing weather.....though, obviously it pales into comparison with the terrible conditions battering the southern states in the US at the minute:-( We should be grateful that we are only troubled with mild wet conditions, not the terrible extremes that affect sunnier climes. I wish everyone well in Texas and the other States affected, i hope the damage is minimal and the human cost even more so.
Pam, i do hope that your little visit went well earlier today, i liked Donita's vision of your manager arriving clutching a casserole:-), a bit far fetched I'm guessing but are flowers and chocolates too much to ask for? I'm glad Lesley was joining you, a little bit of moral support is always a good thing. Hugs.
Margaret, i am so pleased that your results were good news, even if they took their own sweet time, it must be a load off your mind.
Theresa, thanks for the hugs they are much appreciated:-)
Rosemary, i am grateful for those special hugs, as are Brodie and Darcey who are both under strict instructions not to wander too far. The person who shot the little cat is a 70 yr old man who takes great delight in shooting birds from his bedroom window so he is a total psychopath with little or no feelings for those around him. I hope the police, who have been informed, take action because people like that are a menace to us all and how long before its an adult or child on the receiving end?
Frances, we worry constantly about our babies don't we? Our old cat Gizmo was hit between the eyes by a pellet gun when he was still little, he nearly lost his eye in the process:-( personally, i would shoot all of the perpetrators of such heinous crimes, controversial probably but i feel very strongly about it.
Carmen, I'm a good girl at heart so i have been trying really hard to focus on all things protein related:-) You are so right to point out the importance of Sues upcoming launch, I don't intend to disrupt it with a hospital stay! I have my priorities straight after all:-)
June, i do hope you had an enjoyable afternoon at Betty's...despite the inclement British weather:-) I lived in York for nearly a year and never paid a visit to their branch of Betty's, a mistake on my part as i love sweet things.
Donita, steak sounds so good though Brodie wouldn't thank you for it....he'll only eat prawns, cat biscuits and cat food, he rarely kills his prey after he catches them!
Yvonne, hugs to you my dear if you are looking in, i know that you are struggling at the moment, thinking of youxxx
Hugs to everyone elsexxx

Hello sue,
A card today to remind us that Autumn is almost with us! We've had a lovely sunny day but with a nip in the air! I have the leaves and they are beautiful. I'm going to use them in the next couple of weeks with the children at After School Club! I think today's card is beautiful and I wouldn't have thought of using the embossed white leaves on top! Very effective! Thank you!
Pam - I hope today has gone as well as possible! I hope you haven't been upset by anything which was said or done!
Pat L - so glad you are enjoying the sunshine ! Have a lovely time.
June - hope the bubbles didn't go up your nose!!
Deb E - your birthday passed me by too! Sorry! Hope you had a lovely day!
Laine - oh my dear, what a sad story! It's hard to believe sometimes how cruel people can be! Please keep your protein intake up and get well!. We don't want you in hospital! Apart from anything else they don't do Caci facials there !! Hope everyone understands Scottish humour!
Margaret D - pleased about your results - even if they took a while to reach you! I can't understand that! It's not good enough!
