Robin Redbreast Stained Glass

Hello there my crafty friends!  Here's another
stained glass card for you, but completely different that yesterdays!  I started by making a large piece of Pixie Powdered background using Emerald Green, Candy Pink, Rich Gold and Lava Red.  I allowed it to dry completely then cut it in half.  One side I saved to use as my background for my stained glass and the other I used to cut the flowers from for my card.  I cut the Robin Stained Glass die out of coconut white card.  I cut a piece of the pixied background just large enough to fit the stained glass and covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing paper off and attached the Robin Stained Glass die cut to it.  I coated the remaining adhesive with clear micro beads for texture and added mounting foam to the back.  I cut the Twinkle Star Frame out of white and backed it in white, attaching the Stained glass in the centre.  I made three different sizes poinsettias using the Classic Poinsettia die and the Poinsettia Additions and attached two to the lower corner and one in the opposite corner.  I accented them with pine boughs from the Pine Cone die set.  White on white mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Pam, wonderful to hear from you but sorry that you're so poorly. Gallstones are nasty little b's and the infection they can cause is horrendous. I hope that the antibiotics are kicking in by now. Don't even give a thought to work, just get well soon. Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Dear Sue and Thankful Friends,

This seems much simpler than stacking the die cuts three high, glittering the individual colors onto acrylic and waiting for them to dry. Seems like distress inks or oxides could also produce a mottled effect, maybe not as dramatic as Pixie Powders. I would be tempted to get some red in the robin's breastal area.

Love the twinkle frame. I can see myself overusing it.

Pam, so glad you're safe, in caring hands, and that you haven't lost your sense of humor. I hope there's no delay in getting you the proper medication this time.

Love,
Donita

"Creative Expression Cosmic Shimmer Specialists Acrylic Glue"
"Creative Expression Mounting Foam"

"Sue Wilson's Pine Cone Cutting Dies" - From The Festive Collection
"Sue Wilson's Classic Poinsettia/The Poinsettias Additions Cutting Dies" - From The Festive Collection
Sue, You Started By Making Today's Superb Card By Creating A Large Piece Of Of Pixie Powdered Background
In The Most Magical Colour Combination, You Allowed This To Dry Then You Cut The Piece In Half
One Half You Saved For Using As Your Background, The Other Half To Use For Your Poinsettias.
You Cut The Robin Redbreast Stained Glass Die Out Of Coconut White Card Then You Cut A Piece Of The Pixie
Powdered Background Just Large Enough To Fit the Robin Redbreast Stained Glass, Then You Covered It With A
Sticky Adhesive Sheet, You Peeled The Backing Paper Off Then Attached To The Robin Redbreast Stained Glass Die
Cut To It.
Sue, You Coated The Remaining Adhesive With Clear Micro Beads For Texture (I Keep Forgetting To Use Mine)
You Then Added Mounting Foam To The Back, You Then Cut Out The Very Magnificent Twinkle Star Frame Out Of
Coconut White Card Then You Backed In White Using Mounting Foam On This Piece Of Card You'd Added Your
Famous/Signature/Piercing Then You Attached To Another Piece Of Coconut White Card This Time A Flat Mat
So You Used The Acrylic Glue.
Sue, You Made Three Poinsettias You Attached Two To The Lower Corner Of Your Masterpiece Then One In Opposite
Corner, You Accented Them With Pine Boughs From The Pine Cone Die, You Cut Them Out Of Coconut White Card
Then Glued Into Place Using The Acrylic Glue, You Placed Pearls To The Centre Of Your Poinsettias.
Also Adding Pearls To The Stars Within The Twinkle Star Frame..........
Hey Presto!!!!! We Have One Extremely Exceptional Magnificent Card Thank You So Very Much For Sharing Also For
Your Hard Work..................
Just A Quick Mention "Phill Martin" Did A Tremendous Job On Hochanda With His Cutting Dies Also Your Flower Die

Hi Sue, a beautiful card and with such a contrasting look to yesterday's. The pixied background and poinsettias are gorgeous as are the robin and the Twinkle Star background dies. Yet another winner for me.

Karen M - I hope your scaffolding is not giving you too much pain (a friend had something similar and all he wanted to do was scratch) and that you get the second operation soon.
Maria - I will be metaphorically holding your hand today and Thursday, hope all goes well.
Rosemary - hope that you and your son are ok and you can get things sorted out.
Laine - hoping that the infection clears up quickly and you can get back to normal - if you know what that is lol.
