Gorgeous card Sue, love the opulence of the gold.
Hapoy Silver Wedding Annuversary to my eldest daughter Lesley and son in law Gary. Can't believe 25 years have gone so quickly. I finished the card yesterday, was very proud of it.
Yes Luke did take it very hard when Hus horse Harry died so suddenly. He called in to see me last night, he is a lovely young man, Laine he would rival you as a fan of Game of Thrones.
Welcome back Steph, you have been missed. Hope you and Andy are well. We've said many times over the years he is a keeper.
Muriel I loved Newpirt Beach too, such a beautiful area.
Diane, hope Emnamanaged to sleep on the coach, you will miss her.
Carmen, hooe your son is soon settled in his new place.
Brenda, hooe you got some sleep, 5am is normal fir me.
Rosemary, glad you are doing okay on meds, gently does it.
June, hooe you enjoyed your champagne cream tea. I recently had a pink champagne cream tea at Betty's , it was delicious.
Elaine, time to speak to MP re Council, a few if us agree that now seems best course.
Hugs to all. Especially our poorly and missing friends, good to see so many back on the blog.

Diane, it doesn't seem two minutes since you were looking at universities with Emma and now she's heading back for, is it her third year? I have another couple of weeks before my daughter heads back. Carmen, hope your son is settling into his new apartment.
Pam, congratulations to Lesley and Gary on this special anniversary.
June- love Betty's in Harrogate! I can never have the champagne tea though as I'm the driver, but it's always special when we go there, especially if we can bag a seat by the windows. Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Dear Sue and Loyal Wilsonettes,

It's so satisfying to watch you make a card like this. No figuring and misfiguring. No accidentally cutting the plate instead of the paper. No smudging the powder while embossing. No messing up and starting over. It all fits together perfectly. Those flowers do look opulent with their edges gilded. And thanks for the tip about getting an impression on the second layer of paper without cutting all the way through. So clever!

I called our Rhode Island National Guard spokesman to ask whether Texas had requested any help from Rhode Island, (Not yet) and he was just leaving the airport after seeing his son off to Australia for his senior year of college. That young man will not be bringing laundry home for Mom to wash on the weekends.

Thanks Jackie Trinder for the Christmas Rose endorsement. Those appeal to me, too, but I haven't seen them used much. I should go back and see the launch samples.

Best possible Tuesday to everyone.

Hi Sue,

What a gorgeous card, love everything about it and I also have that swirly stamp, it's perfect for creating an interesting but not too "screamy" background...and I just adore those black gilded flowers, they look almost velvety...has anyone ever come across black flocked cardstock?...I've got some in bright zingy colours but have never seen black flocking...

Craftysuetoo, yes the time has flown by, year 3, 2 more to go if she does an industry year placement. She's still on the coach, just gone past the new forth bridge, she text us to tell us, another couple of hours to go then it's straight to picking up keys for her new flat and moving boxes across before going back to clean the old place. She will sleep well tonight! Xxx
June good to hear you had a lovely birthday xxx

Hi Sue, today's card is not to my personal taste but I can see why everyone loves it. The gold embossed swirl stamp is lovely, it seems almost a shame to cut into it but the succulent flowers are the star of the show for me. Good tip about a different way to get an embossed image, thank you.

Lovely design. I'd have to change the colour of the flowers for a slightly softer one (as per usual). Will watch the video when I'm properly back at home.

I'm away from home for a couple of weeks but had to pop back for an appointment with my doctor. The dodgy phone reception has meant I haven't been able to comment since Thursday. Been able to see the blog at times and have got right to the point of hitting the "publish" button. Then I've lost the signal. Very frustrating. So back at home for an hour or two, look at today's card on my laptop
and the connection has dropped off!!!! Think I need a new phone and ISP.

Could hardly believe my eyes on Sunday to see my name as a comment game winner, just a few months after my last win. Thank you, Sue. Congratulations to the other winners, Deedee and Rolphi and to Rosemary Strickland on winning last week's card. Connection back now.

Take care everyone.

Hi Sue,

What can I say about this card more than I will be very happy to receive a card like this! I didn’t have a chance to watch the video yet but I am sure that I will enjoy it and learn something new. Oh, the sentiment is just perfect.

Pam – Congratulations to Lesley and Gary on their Silver Wedding Anniversary!
Crew Trish -Yes, it is heartbreaking: people died, some are missing, some lost everything what they had but they are happy to be alive. If you see the news or read the articles it is impossible not to feel their pain. Hope we won't have to go thru anything like this in our life time.Toronto was never hit by a storm like this or at least never happened since we moved to Canada.
Pam, CraftySuetoo, Laine – Our son is 3rd year at the university. Two more years to go. We enjoy his company for now. It is so good to have him home till next week on 9/06.
Elaine – The weekend was busy and this week is crazy busy so far, but my hubby is planning a second vacation for us, only for the two of us this time. I cannot wait to be on the beach enjoying the sun.

Hugs to all.
Still a newbie to Craft / not longer the newest, or the only Canadian Wilsonette

Pam happy anniversary to Lesley and Gary, would love to see the card you made for them.
June what a treat, champers at Betty's. Enjoy, I'll be up in Harrogate at the weekend and will think of you when I walk past Betty's.
Izzy, I have a sheet of the black fuzzy card and like Diane it's a keep and stroke sheet. I bought it in Germany though so not very helpful for you.
Oh Elaine, poor Andrew, I hope this next one is not as bad for him. He must be dreading it. Sending some gentle hugs for you.
Julie Laz, sorry to hear you've been unwell, hope you are soon feeling much better.
Carmen patience patience! A sun filled vacation is worth waiting for!
Thankyou for the kind comments ladies, I't's nice to be back but I've still not caught up with all the news!
