You Are So Special

Hi crafters!  I selected a piece of coconut white card and cut the inside die from the Gemma die set continuously across to the background.  I backed it with Sky Blue card, then dded a Navy Blue mat behind it.  I cut the Gemma die in both white and Navy blue to use as the focal element.  I offset the blue behind the white one as a shadow.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the centre rectangle, inked the edges lightly with Tumbled Glass and mounted it in the centre.  I made three flowers using the Striped Nasturtiums and added stamens to each of them.  I mounted the largest flower in the bottom left corner and the other two in the opposite right corner.  I cut Wispy fronds out of white and used them as accents around the flowers.  I tucked a small white satin ribbon bow under the largest flower.  I added a wide white mat with a navy blue thin mat to the entire card before finishing with a white on white pieced mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Lovely card Sue. Hope you are resting over the Bank Holiday but I somehow think you will be working hard to finish off for your new launch,
Sharon, I was delighted to read that your results were benign, best news ever. I am so pleased as I know you will have been worrying.
Saba, lovely to see you back, enjoy your visit with your grandchildren.
Muriel, if you see this, can't believe your trip is almost over, what memories you will have. Enjoy your last 4 days, safe flight home.
Lynne, happy belated birthday, lovely to have your family with you too.
June, you have had such a busy weekend, hope you have had lots if fun but don't tire yourself out. Did you get some lovely crafty goodies.
Rosemary, how are you doing on your new meds. I hope you are okay.
Elaine, I hope all is well with you and yours. Has the Door issue got any further for you.
Thank you for all the good wishes for Rachael, she loves horse riding and her white horse Hank, she is at the stables every day with her mum. Sadly Luke stopped horse riding after he lost his horse Harry, he won't go near the stables now .
Have a lovely Bank a Holiday Monday folks, hugs to all including poorly and missing friends.

Hi Sue. What an absolute beauty to return commenting on. I've quickly snatched a second or two to load your daily inspiration as not to lose me as a number on your blog, and I've seen so many delightful samples during the past month, some I may eventually try with my 'Thank You' gifts (you know what Andy is like) I've been away so long from my craft room and have lost that enthusiasm just for now, but once we return from our three day recovery and total rest break im hoping to feel refreshed enough to start again. Im thoroughly exhausted to the point that i could laugh with delirium but we stick to our wedding vows - in sickness and in health in good times and bad, would i do it again ? Hell yeah. Todays sample is so very pretty, the colours you've chosen the dies you've used, and the sentiment comes back to you for giving me a couple of seconds each day as a reminder of what I love so much, you your beautiful work, your kind heart, and your very precious Particraft, which whatever comes my way I'll always find that odd spare second or two to gain inspiration and raise a smile no matter how small it may be at the work of art that looks back at me.
Sending much love, hugs, and a day of happiness and sunshine xxx

Dear Sue and Wilsonettes,

It's nice to return to the classic beauty style that is so you. What an interesting mosaic background you've achieved by cutting the inner die of the Gemma over and over. The Gemma isn't that big, I'm sure, but what a large look you get with the background, the flowers and the Wispy Fronds. So considerate of you to save us money that way. So we can buy more dies.

Glad to see Stephanie Cotterill back. Pam will be so relieved. I can't remember what the issue is, but it sounds like both you and your husband are getting surgery. Hope your recovery can be enjoyed.

Also hoping to hear soon from Beverly Fuchs.

For all those who have a bank holiday today, lucky you. Ours is next weekend.

Love,
Donita

Good morning Sue, such a pretty card and one which, no matter where you are will tell us that it's a Sue Wilson special. I just love everything about it. Doing some crafting myself today as we went for a walk along the river Wear yesterday so the old knees definitely need a rest today. We actually saw a seal bobbing about with a fish in it's mouth. It was a lovely walk but such a shame about rubbish and graffiti in some places. On the plus side there were lots of blackberries along thevway for sustenance. Lol Wish I'd taken a plastic box with me. Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing. Hugs xx P Austen

Hi Sue, a lovely card and Gemma makes a beautiful background. You will see that we all think the sentiment is made just for you. I love that you have used navy as the backing colour rather than black, so much softer IMO.

Pam - that is such a shame for Luke, he must have really loved Harry.
Stephanie - good to see you back.
P Austen - your walk sounds lovely, isn't it a shame that some people have to spoil things by littering.

It isn't a Bank Holiday here in Scotland and that is probably just as well because it is a dull and dismal day but I am wishing everyone a bright and sunny day to enjoy.

Hi Sue and everyone
Sue so sorry I haven't had time to post on your blog.
We have had friends to stay who both have life threatening illnesses.
We went to the Brecon Beacons on Saturday the mountains and scenery were breath taking. Then we went to the market town and were entertained by an African tribe, very interesting. On Sunday we went out for Sunday lunch then down to the seafront for a walk and ice cream. They have just left for the 3 1/2 hot journey home. . I loved your Friday double day and will be making both cards. Also love today's right up my street. Not so keen on yesterday's but was beautifully made.
Pam thank you for asking about me. So far so good on the meds, have to double them
Up from Wednesday, if I get a rash have to go to A and E as you can die from it hey ho !!! ! Sending love and hugs.
Sharon so pleased you had good results you must be extatic.
June belated happy birthday to you and your twin, hope you had a lovely day.

Hi Sue,
Today's card is classic and elegant. Love it. Yesterday card was stunning. One of my favorites.I also liked Saturday card. Sorry I didn't comment for the last 2 days, we had to move our son from where he stayed for the past 4 months while he had the work-term, to a new place for the next, at least 4 months, for the new school-term.We had to clean both rooms/apartments; lots of work to do. Now back to normal, whatever normal means.
Congratulations for all winners over the weekend!
Saba - Welcome back.
June, June's Twin, Lynne - Happy belated b-day for you all.
Elaine -Happy to read that Andrew and Helen enjoyed their day out.
Sharon - So happy for you. You should celebrate!
Doreenj - Happy belated b-day for your twins!
Laine - You should ask yourself if the commoners would like to spend time with you or around you ... OK, don't try to find the answer, it will be traumatic for you:) And we don't want this, right? Hope you are OK.

Hugs to all.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a stunning card, the colour palette is so striking, love the mixture of soft blue and navy. If ever i needed reminding that your dies are the most versatile on the market then this card surely does so....the fact that you can produce such a gorgeous sample with so few dies is remarkable. The cards over the weekend were equally outstanding, i particularly loved Saturdays sample and video, really enjoyable and it has spurred me on to get the gingerbread dies:-) So glad to see Saba back with us yesterday, and what a truly appropriate card sample for a keen sailor to come back too:-) , utterly fabulous!
Had a busy Bank Holiday weekend, not doing anything exciting but enough to keep me busy and out of trouble:-)
I'm really excited right now and counting down the minutes until 9pm when the season finale of Game of Thrones is broadcast. I know that its not everyone's cup of tea but i am totally addicted...i recommended it to Yvonne and her boys and they watched the entire seven seasons in record time and are equally hooked. My Mums the worst though, she watches it every time its repeated on Sky and saw last weeks episode 5 times! Now that's a true fan:-)
Almost as exciting is the imminent return of Strictly, the tickets for the shows should be on sale soon so i had better watch the pennies over the next month methinks....rather unfortunate for me that the new die launch is scheduled soon too.....rob a bank? Who me?Never! :-)
Pam, congrats to Rachael, you must be so proud because she sounds very gifted. Hearing about Harry brought a tear to my eye, it has obviously hit Luke hard, we build such strong bonds with our animals and each have different ways of dealing with their loss:-( Hope you are feeling a bit better.
June, glad you were treated like a Queen on your special day, enjoy your visit to Harrogate, Yorkshire is so beautiful.
Saba, lovely to have you back with us, ive missed you heaps but you have clearly been super busy. Enjoy your time in the UK with your grandchildren:-)
Carmen, whatever can you mean? Are you trying to imply that no one would want to spend any quality time with me? Ha Ha! Surely not! We both know that it would be an honour and a privilege to be in my company....yes, and you can keep your mouth shut for once Yvonne!:-) I'll give you the benefit of the doubt just this once because you are clearly delirious with fatigue at the moment my dear....is your son at university or college?
Myra, hope you are well honey, sending hugs to you and the equally fragrant Maureen:-)
Maria, hope you are having a better week after your recent procedures, take carexxx
Donita, hugs to you and your little pussy:-)
Yvonne, hope you are awake for tonight's big finale! I'm going to have a Jon Snow sized void in my life from now on that only the peachy bums on Strictly will fill:-)

Love and crafty hugs
