It's a Boy/ It's A Girl

Good Sunday morning all!   It's a double day of baby shadow box cards, one for the girls and one for the boys!  Both cards today have been made with the New Arrival Shadow box die set.  For the girl card, I used two shades of pink and coconut white card.  I embossed a piece of pale pink card with the Twinkle Twinkle embossing folder for texture to the background.  I cut the shadow box in white and added mounting foam to the back to raise it and create the boxes.  I attached it the the embossed background.  Using the Scalloped Lattice Frames set B, I cut a multilayered frame using both light and darker pink card and glued them on top of the shadow box.  I used the rattle and little footprints from the Little Treasures set to fill in some of the cubbies and the bottle and baby blocks from the shadow box set for a couple more boxes.  The It's a girl set for the largest opening.  I added a small flower from the Exquisite Poppy set which I sugared it Iced Snow and seated it on a satin ribbon bow.  White  mats and layers were added to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7" x  8" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

Card number two is all blue for the boys.  It has the same sort of format, but I used the Dot Matrix embossing folder for texture on this one in the background.  I added the baby blocks in blue in the smallest openings.  The rattle and bottle were used again with white accents added.  For the largest opening, I used the word "Baby" from the shadow box but added the word Boy which I cut from the It's A Boy sentiment die.  I used a dark blue to shadow both words and used the same dark blue as a frame around the shadow box.  The buttons were added to the bottom corner as an accent.  White, sky blue and dark blue mats and layers were added to complete this card.  The finished dimensions are  6 3/4"  x  8" in size.  I hope you have enjoyed both cards today!

Beautiful cards Sue I always look your baby cards.Hope you are having a lovely weekrnd.
Congratulations to all comment game winners.
Rosemary, it's shocking that you have to wait that long for an appointment especially when you don't have a date just sometime in August.
Try not to worry, I know it's easier said than done. Speak to your GP, maybe they can hurry it along.
Elaine, it was lovely to hear Andrew and Helen had a lovely Annuversary and are at their caravan, always seems to do them both good. Hope things are going well for Mary and you and John too.
Karen, hope hubbys visit to Consultant next week goes well. As long as he is recovering little by little that is good news.
Thank you ladies for all of your encouragement re work, if I didn't laugh about it I would either cry or leave but they won't get rid of me that easily. Love the ideas of a luxury cameo ran, a yurt, fabulous, working from home, oops better duck, a herd of flying pink pigs just went overhead..
Hope our Gang of Nine are all okay, pretty quiet lately. Hugs to all our missing and poorly friends. Laine and Yvonne, special wishes that your eyes are improving, sight is so precious.
Happy Sunday to all.

A warm sunny good morning to you Sue from Alnwick. Cute - an understatement. We've seen many a New Baby Shadow Box sample but I have to say that there are the nicest you've show cased. I just love how you've changed the colours on the baby boy bottle, something so little but big impact, and the dark blue shadows really highlights the whole of the card, the flower is just a delightful finishing touch to your baby girl sample. I'm praying to God with all my worth that New Baby Boy cards fall through Tina and Claire & Toby's post box by their hundreds in a few months time ☺ please God let them have happiness this year.
Every SB die, and every little accessory that goes with them are also a God send, such a brilliant idea Sue, and a fantastic tool for either those quick makes or for something extra special for those extra special cards we need or are asked for. Hope to see more SB accessories being added at some point ?
Many congratulations to the 3 comment winners, enjoy your gift, who else would be as generous as 'our Sue' in blog world, so have fun with it ladies.
Sending sunny smiles love n hugs your way Sue this beautiful Sunday morning xxx

Good Morning Sue and everyone,
The sun is up and it's a lovely morning.
Two lovely cards Sue, we have a baby girl expected in 6 weeks, so a card to make for her arrival. These are perfect.

Theresa (Yorky Girl)I went to Doncaster show yesterday, it was sooo busy,7.000 folks there I was told, 5 hours there and not managed to see and buy everything! But enjoy your time there and hope you can get all you need or want.

But Sue, I made sure I got my Prism striplet, Corvus gemini, Striped Nasturtiums, Exquiste Poppy and Meridium edger dies, and Cosmic shimmer glue. All Absolute essentials!
Just wish I could find those delicate colors of card stock you use Sue.

Have a good day Sue and everyone.
Take care
