Heartfelt Thanks

Hi crafters!  I debated on showing this card as it got a bit damaged in transport.  I tried to flatten it out, but it still has a bit of a wavy look to it, but I don't use green very much and thought it might be a welcome change.  I started by cutting the Pacific Ocean Borders into the sides of a piece of coconut white card.  I backed it in white for a tone on tone look.  For the focal point, I cut the Swirly Vines Background out of green card from my stash.  I backed it in white and cut the centre out to create a frame.  I added mounting foam to raise it.  I cut the Delightful Daisies in white to use in the frame.  I stamped my sentiment on a separate piece of white card and added a very faint blue cloud like background around it.  I attached the daisies inside the frame and added the backing with the sentiment.  White on white mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card Sue, love it. So pretty and feminine,
P, will miss your comments, hope you are back soon but good luck with the tasks you have in front of you. Lovely to hear Yeti is coming round, always knew you would do it. Big hug for you till we hear from you again, will miss you.
Elaine, you have to know what was going through the Policemans mind, poor soul. It's good Andrew can laugh through this. He is a very special man.
Carmen, it is a wonderful opportunity for the Kid, enjoy your lunch, wish him all the best and tell him to keep in touch with you all, or he can join the blog and be one of us . Good luck Kid.
June my mum used to say about the crusts and curly hair, also eat your carrots and see in the dark, I used to say it to my girls too.
No prescription yet, think both the hospital and GP have forgotten, however breathing is good at moment.
2 managers leaving, one today and one tomorrow, they are making him work the Saturday, 14 leaving in Sept to go to DWP, very soon there won't be enough left to maintain the building. My manager is looking for a new job, she can't stand our HO, happy days.
CraftySue, you are wel, out of it. Hope you are settling to your new life, may be joining you sooner rather than later.
Hugs to all, our missing and poorly friends, always in our thoughts.

Morning Sue. A little later than my norm - sadly packing up to leave this gorgeous area in Northumberland a place we'd strongly recommend for a peaceful staycation with amazing beautiful beaches that equal those hundreds of miles away.
Anyway this should be all about your sample not me. Damaged or not it so deserves its day on the blog, most of us are damaged in some shape or form and we show up daily so what does it matter that this beauty has the odd wobble its still really pretty. The green brings out the design of the frame so nicely and surrounds the sweet flowers so we'll, so a good choice, damage and all. Must go, so much dog hair to vacuum up !!!

Hi Sue
What a pretty card today, it's lovely to see the green being used as it's such a classic colour. I don't know how you do it , flying back and forth with a suitcase full of craft items, cards and just a few clothes. The card doesn't look damaged in the photo even though you've told us it is. I do like how the daisies have made a focal element in the frame, it's such a pretty die and deserves to have its time on the blog. Thank you for sharing.

Dear Sue and Those Who Practice Sueness,

This card really takes the cake! Count me in with those who love green. It's cool how you often do foliage in white and it still reads as foliage, and here you do a swirly frame in green and it also reads as foliage. I like how the daisies come at you right out of the frame, and that it's so easy to color the sky behind them.

A little light has gone out of my life since P in Wales said she was leaving. I'll miss her stories, especially about the taming of Yeti. I hope it's only a short while before she feels the pull of the blog again and has to know what creations are posing on the runway and how everybody's lives are going.

Love and hugs to Rosemary.

Have a safe weekend everyone.

Love,
Donita

Morning, Sue,
What a delightful card. I had a good giggle about it being a bit wavy...most of mine end up like that without being packed anywhere lol. I love the way the flowers peek out from the frame you made for them.
What a miserable morning down here in my corner of the world. I live on the rim of the basin that Truro sits in and from my front with down I can see part of the other side of the town and the spires of the cathedral...today it's raining so hard that I can only see a curtain of grey, I'm glad I live on top of the hill.
At least I'm safe as I can't go out in the garden lol. The arm is doing very well, it looked a LOT worse than it was as I'm a bit of a bleeder. In the end the saw just bounced off my arm and mercifully didn't go very deep. It's healing up well thank goodness, a bit red but it shouldn't leave a big scar. Today I may actually get around to starting a sort out of the craft room today, I ant find ding the worktop right now lol.

Hi Sue, thank you for showing this lovely card wrinkles and all. I love green and the Swirly Vines Background makes a beautiful frame in this colour. You have proved that with just three dies you can create a beautiful card - my problem is knowing which three!

Marie - good luck with the house sale and when you are packing remember to do just a little at a time and take plenty of breaks. I am a fairly organised person and like to keep most things just so but when I'm crafting everything is everywhere and the desk disappears lol. I don't actually know any tidy crafters and if they should say they are, I don't believe them :-)

Wishing everyone a happy Friday and a good week-end.

‘P’ in Wales – You’ll be missed. Hope you’ll be back sooner rather than later. Take care.
Pam – Have ready a champagne. You have to celebrate once your boss finds a job. Pleased that your breathing is good. Maybe you should call the GP or the hospital. Good luck.
Elaine - So glad Andrew had his treatment. You made me laugh ... poor Policeman. Sorry to read about John. Fingers crossed to have that investigation soon. Hugs for you all.
CraftySuetoo - Hope you enjoy your freedom. A big hug for you.
Marie – Good luck with the house sale. Sorry, I have no idea how to keep your place tidy while you do some craft. I am not a tidy crafter at all. Lets hope we’ll find out together, maybe somebody will give us some tips:)
