Sending Hugs

Good Sunday Morning all!  Duck egg blue and milk card for today's card.  I embossed the milk card with the Jacobean Floral embossing folder for texture.  I inked over the top very lightly with Antique Linen to bring out the pattern a bit more.  Next I cut the Mia die four times out of duck egg blue card and sort of interlocked them into a square configuration.  I glued the ends into place and added mounting foam and attached them to the background.  I cut the centre of the Megan die and added it across the centre of the card and topped it with my stamped sentiment.  I made one flower out of the solid die in the Striped Nasturtium set and seated it on some blue satin ribbon and spring foliage accents.  I added a small blue flower to the sentiment.  I had some pretty cream pearl corners that I added as accents.  Milk and duck egg blue mats and layers were used to complete the card.  the finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.

The winners of this week Comment Game are:

Kate's Cards!!!
KarinsArtScrap!!!
Viki Banaszak!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

Happy Sunday Sue and all. Today's card is gorgeous, looks very elegant.
Congratulations to comment game winners.
CreweTrish, you and Mum had a very sad last task to do for your brother, he is at peace now and in such a lovely setting, I hope you can take some comfort from that and know that you will have him in your hearts forever.
Tracy, you too have had your fair share of sadness and sorrow, you have done so well.
Elaine, hope you are doing okay too. How long are you going to be at SIL's and is it far away from your home.
Pat you must be delighted to have the family home, it seems such a while ago since they went.
P, do they have any idea where Pale Face has been, poor thing, at least she is home now and can be cared for. It seems Yeti is coming round slowly, very very slowly but surely.
Laine and Yvonne, hope you are both starting to feel better. Nancy D, haven't seen you for a while, hope you are okay.
Hugs to all, it looks like we are going to have another very hot sunny day following our recent very loud thunderstorms. Thinking if all missing and poorly friends, their carers too.

What a gorgeous sample Sue. Happy Sunday morning to you craft queen. Duck egg blue - oh my word, my next love alongside blush, aqua, and milk, it's an absolute beauty and these two colours are a match made in heaven. I'm saying something now that may sound stupid, but some dies look absolutely wonderful cut in certain colour card, especially when you emboss them too which I do most times, and I think Mia was made for Duck Egg Blue, look how all that extravagant pattern shows up - wow, beautifully stunning Sue, thank you and I return the sentiment ☺

Many congratulations to our 3 lucky ladies, enjoy your gift and have fun with it.

Sending love to you this Sunday Sue xxx

It's not often I send messages back and forth here but as it's to do with a past sample and craft (kind of) I had the biggest smile, and a chuckle when I read 'Our Sam's' post about her shells collected from a beautiful beach taking off lol. That was the funniest and cutest comment ever, I could just imagin your face looking round for your missing shells. Those shells certainly didn't want to end up in a shaker card that's for sure !!!

Dear Sue and Jolly Followers,

Did you know when you designed these dies that if you made a square of four Mia's, the ends of the wings of Megan would land in the circles? Once again, it looks inevitable.

Also, that tiny flower with the sentiment is inspired!

Congratulations to the winners!

Blessings on everyone,

Love,
Donita

A lacy concoction today, Sue, very pretty and clever use of the Mia die. See that yesterday's card drew the most mixed bag of comments ever, but for sure we all love to see what new ideas and techniques you bring every day.
Pam, Pale Face (being a rural feral originally) was either injured and laying up or just frightened and living off the land, so to speak. She is certainly too nervous to have sought other human help but must have thought home was a better option. Reading what you said yesterday about the collie and your little brother (nice story), many years ago we gave a second home to a collie - Lass - who had only ever lived in a town flat; but once she met our two Toggenburg goats, she too knew her real purpose in life!! Sadly Scarlet, Velvet and Lass now long gone.
Special thoughts for Crewe Trish, Tracy and Elaine.
Well done to the comment winners.

Hi Sue. Not too sure about today's card, but I can't put my finger on why, which isn't helping much is it? The die is beautiful and the colours are great, but I think for me there is too much of the blue which I think could be overcome by making the central panel much larger. Sorry to be the odd one out - everyone else seems to love it though.
