Just For You

Hi crafters!  This is another one of my personal favourite cards.  I just love the silver and dusty rose colour combo.  I started by putting together a background of just silver shine card with a mat of vintage silver card.  I cut a wide strip of coconut white card and matted it with vintage silver card and added foam to raise it. I cut the Sumatra die in white to use as the centre of the focal element.  Next,  I cut the Rose Oval twice in dusty rose card and once in silver shine card. I tucked the sides of the Sumatra die into the centres of the Rose Ovals on either side then cut the silver one in half and added the ends of it behind, but just peeking out of the pink Rose Ovals.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the oval centre from the Indonesian tags.  I cut another in dusty rose and cut it in half to use as a shadow.  I seated the sentiment on the actual tag shape cut out of Vintage Silver card.  I added flatback pearls as accents, then finished with matching mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card Sue, delightful.
Theresa, hope you had a wonderful birthday. Did you get lots of crafty goodies.
June, how did Johns workshop go, hope you had a fab time.
Maria, it is lovely to hear that you and Sharon had a great meet up, firm friends now I am sure.
Muriel, have a wonderful US holiday, most of all have fun.
Elaine, how did the Barbie go, hope you all had a wonderful time and the birthday couple too. Liked your idea of putting all the Christmas dies and stamps in one box or was that a crate.
Donita, I see you live in New England, such a beautiful part of the states. My brother lives in New Hampshire, also very beautiful. I have spent many a lovely holiday there especially in the Fall.
Well I have had 2 chill out days, doing very little but must get going today got 4 special cards to make, craft room to tidy, and I want to sort my drive and patio out. Then again I might not .
Daily hugs to all, have a great day. Thinking of our poorly and missing friends, Yvonne, Laine, Norah, Wheeley and many more, miss you all.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, wow this is a lovely card, and a great colour combinations too.

Pam I reiterate all you have said today, but be careful if you are doing the patio and drive, you don't want to over do it and make yourself ill, I will stick to crafting if it was me. Well the workshop was absolutely brilliant, I can honestly say it was one of the best ones I have ever been to, John is such a talented person and so knowledgeable, he is so friendly with everyone and most of all I learnt so many new techniques with stamping and also using the pixie powders and kitchen roll and glitter, I was so pleased with the 3 creations I made. Mind you I was so knackered when I got home I went to bed at 8pm and apart from waking up for about 20 minutes in the night I then slept until 6am this morning, I think the 3 full days of crafting had taken their toll. I did manage to have a quick word with our birthday girl Theresa yesterday which was lovely too.

Today I have got to prepare the instructions for my Wednesday craft group, so enjoy your day everyone.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Dear Sue and Wilsonettes,

Patricia and P Austen have my vote, to do this in white or whites and silvers. I'm concluding that for me, two thirds pink is too much, unless the pinks are subtle.

Happy Belated Theresa!

Pam, everyone in Rhode Island goes to New Hampshire for vacation, and vice versa. Traffic jams both waupys on Friday and Sunday. Also everyone in Connecticut comes to Rhode Island beaches, but Rhode Islanders don't believe thEre's any such thing as Connecticut, except as a long delay in getting to New York City.

Rosemary Powell, sending you love and encouragement. Depression moves in with a mind of its own, and sometimes you have to call on outside forces to back it down again. My meds were increased this spring when I started to go under. You had good news from your checkup, but a long scare before the good news. That could have upset your balance. Be kind with yourself. Use your efforts to eat regularly, sleep enough, and take at least a little walk every day.

Best to you and everyone who needs a little kindness today.

Love,
Donita

Oh, such a lovely design. Your Rose Oval die is beautiful and cuts out so easily. I made a card using this Rose Oval die set and layered behind it the pierced outside part of your Geneva die. I placed flatbacked pearls all around the tiny flowers framing the Rose Oval.
The Rose Oval die and the Geneva die were a perfect match. The recipient of my card said it was the prettiest card she had ever received.
