Beach Bag Shaker Card

Hi crafters!  I love it when I can take a die cut and with a few snips, make it look like something completely different!  How about using an Easter Basket to make a beach bag!  The video will show you how!

The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" in size.  Al for now, Sue x

Stunning card Sue. There is my dream holiday. Happy 4th July to you.
Sharon, hope you managed to get your tooth sorted, toothache is so debilitating.
Laine and Myra, so glad the migraines are behind you and you are both feeling better.
Dawn, sorry you are feeling so ill, hope things go better for you.
Elaine, hope your eye is improving. It must be good to have Andrew home even though you know he enjoyed himself with his mates. They sound a good bunch.
CraftySue, are they trying to be horrible to you for your last 2 weeks, what an insult to all of your years of service and loyalty. But we all know that loyalty counts for nothing these days and they wont get loyalty like that from such a young person.
Saw new doctor at Respiratory clinic, he covered everything, said he thinks they haven't got to the bottom of my problems, thinks I have some asthma going on, never been told that before, so he is recommending a steroid inhaler, back in 6 months. Got to see the GP when the letter gets to him.
Daily Hugs to all, especially our poorly and missing friends, Yvonne, thinking of you.

Happy 4th July Sue and to all our American friends here - Beverly, Myra, Stephanie and any I've been rude enough to forget, I apologise but have a wonderful day of celebrations.
Sue, what can I say ? Your bag home from Florida must have had a HEAVY-DUTY sticker across it if you hit the beach before your return journey with the post of sand for your shaker cards lol. This is such a happy card full of fun and smiles. After watching the video, I don't think, no, I know for sure I wouldn't be able to feel the tiny flip flops in my fingers, and the last thing I want is to feel frustrated by any of your dies. I've seen other flip flop dies on the market but my loyalty stands with you and CE so blahh to flip flops, I can do without lol.
For those that didn't see my added post yesterday I want to say how happy and proud Scottydog must feel about her card being used for the 2017 Angel. I'm thrilled to bits for you xx
I'm done.

Pam I reiterate all you have said, you always cover everything so well, Stephanie I heard Sue mentioning Scottydog on Hochanda and knew it was one of our Wilsonettes, how lovely is that, I wonder what the actual stamp looked like.

Pam also hope the inhaler (when you eventually get it) will help you.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Pam, sounds like you saw a decent doctor, if it is asthma then the dust in your office will definitely be making it worse. Thanks for your kind words, yes they are still trying to make me quit so they don't have to pay my redundancy! I'll echo the rest of your comments if I may as you say everything so we'll. Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Pam I assumed you had asthma because of how you reacted to the dust in your office. I've had it since I was little and it can be treated very well generally these days. Just a case of getting the correct inhalers. Hope yours helps.

Happy Fourth, Sue,

I hope you see some fireworks on TV at least. This is such a darling card! Makes me wonder if I remembered to bring the sunscreen. I'm not partial to shakers, but I love this, especially with the little shells. On Rhode Island beaches, the sand really is tiny bits of all different colors of rock and shell. Being extremely nearsighted, I can take off my glasses and practically touch my nose to the sand and see all the different colors. There's even mica bits in there.
Pam, I'm so glad you have a diagnosis with a better chance for relief.
Holiday hugs to all, even if it's not your holiday!
Gotta say, Mondays are much easier to take if you have Tuesday off and when you come back, it's already hump day.
Love,
Donita

Good evening Sue and the merry band of Wilsonettes,
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY to all our American friends who are celebrating today. I took my family over in 2010 as it was going to be Kirstens' 18th birthday and Rory was turning 11 and i think it was the fireworks display that i remember the most, as we have never seen anything like it before nor since, boy do they know how to throw a display, fabulous.
Well Sue, it would have been umbrella and wellies you would have needed up here today it was that wet. Having watched my grandsons' Peppa Pig video yet again, it's just amazing that we didn't have the muddy puddles to jump in. Oh well i can dream that i am away somewhere nice and exotic that i need my sun hat and beach bag. Oh and by the way Sue, Dunelm are selling selling sun chairs just like this one up here at Falkirk, so now we know where you got that design idea, lol. This would beat any old postcard any day back from the holidays. Thank you flower for upgrading the poor old postcard to something decent to send.
Thank goodness it dried up this afternoon although not enough that you could go out sunbathing in, but dry is dry and i'll take that over the rain anytime.
CraftySueToo, i didn't know that they could make someone redundant and then give the job out to someone else or it is that they have changed it ever so slightly so that it doesn't come in under it's old name, so get away with it. No flower you are quite right by staying put until your time has come to go, as it's a dear floater that they now have on their hands, don't you pay any heed to floating here and there to fill your day. Lets see who long their new 19 year old lasts knowing everything and where and how to do everything, it's them that will pay in the long run for their dire treatment of you flower.
Pam flower, i have had bronochial trouble since i was a baby but it took them 42 years to tell me that my bronchiatis was asthma. Dr Green changed my inhaler to a different one about 5 weeks ago and i must say i notice a big difference, so i hope that it helps you as well my lovely friend. A few days should let you know if it is working if they have given you the right one, so fingers crossed flower.
Ok i am away up the winding stairs now as a certain little person has worn me out today. I have never seen a child eat as much fruit as my grandson does. This morning it started with a banana, no an apple, no the banana(make up your mind Harry), so both got consumed and i was in the middle of pulling his watermelon slices out of the fridge so that i could get the milk when he was off with them. At lunch he had clementine and grapes with yoghurt and then these fruit flakes, so my fruit bowl has been devoured once more, awh well tomorrow is another day for the shops, lol.
Sending hugs to all the Wilsonettes,
love and crafty hugs
Norah (glenochil)

Yorkiegirl - Theresa G - it's very interesting the things we miss when we move away from " home!" I miss Lorne ( sliced sausage!) and Scotch Pies!! My Parents used to bring them down when they visited! If we go to Scotland I buy them on my way home! Lol!
Laine - sorry about the seizure - that must knock the stuffing out of you for a few days , particularly after a migraine! Hugs to you , my friend!
Pam - I do hope an inhaler will help you. Shame it's taken so long!
Happy 4th of July to our friends in the USA!
Sue, my Die came yesterday! Many thanks!
Love to all,
Myra ( Friend of Maureen!) xxx

Hi Sue. Happy 4th of July !!! WOW !!! What an amazing card !!! Your video is fab to. This is such a bright, fun, sunshine card. I really love it. I love how you made it into a shaker card, and using the Easter Basket and making a beach bag from it is such a fab idea to !!! I love all of your tropical dies. The flip flops are soooo cute. Thank you for sharing your amazing beach card today. I wish I was there myself.
Today I have been making a card using your Stained Glass Butterfly Die. Oh my word this die is gorgeous !!! I know this is well cheeky but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE would you consider making another gorgeous Stained Glass Die in the form of an Owl design which I think would look fantastic !!! I am sure lots of crafters would love it. I know Owls are on trend at the moment in the craft world. Even if you don't make an Owl Die, please just make another Stained Glass Die of any design !!! They are fantastic. I can't wait to get my Chistmas Robin and Poinsettia ones. Sending you lots of love Sue from Tres x x x

Sending everyone lots of love from Tres x x x

I'm back home after a nice holiday in Majorca. Arrived there with a
walking stick because of my knee, came home without it.:-)
Wish I was still there, sitting around the pool and jumping in when
it got too hot(+34c) and feeling so much better with the Fibro.
Now back home, grey sky and a cardigan on because it is rather much
cooler at home in Bucks.
Have a few days to catch up on so going now to look at some lovely
cards, watch the tutorial and read what you been up too.

Sending hugs to you all and special ones for you who need some
Maria x

Hello Sue and all

So late today - it is already tomorrow lol ! But just had to comment on this fabulous card and the video, was thinking with different colours could be a male card too - dark leather looking flip flops, dark blue umbrella etc, and of course the grandchildren would just love it.
Did you know in Australia we call "flip flops" thongs ?
hugs
