2017 Festive Collection Die Release Blog Launch

Hello and welcome!  Today is the first day of our eight day Christmas 2017 die release launch!    There are four posts a day for each day to showcase the 40 new dies in the release.  I am very proud of how these have turned out and have truly enjoyed making samples to share with you for all of them.   As I do with each and every die release, one set of each of the dies will be give away after the blog launch.  All you need to do is leave a comment on any of the posts showcasing the dies that you would like a chance to win.  You can comment on each and every blog post during the launch, but please only one comment per post.  You need to make your name memorable too so there is no mix up as to who the winning die goes to (remember I only have one set of each design to give away!)  Use an alias or add a funny line to your name, add the city, state or country where you live, anything, just make sure that you make it memorable, such as Crafting Janet in Solihull, or Chocolate Crazed Cathy, the Crazy Cat Lady in California, etc.  I'm sure you get the idea!  The drawings will be done and posted on the 28th of June, so don't forget to check back then!

First up is the 2017 Christmas Angel.  Each and every year I do a limited edition Christmas Angel, once it is gone, that is it, it doesn't get reordered.  This years angel has been done in a completely different style, but I think you will love it!  The angel is smaller than years past (as per your requests) and it comes with it's own background too.  The angel is shown here in vintage gold card in a unique silhouette style with subtle debossed lines and twinkles.  The background has more dominant twinkle stars which surround her.  She is shown here by herself, but you will be seeing loads more samples of her and the background in the coming months. Leave a comment if you would like to be entered into this drawing. The next post is at 12 noon today.  All for now, Sue x

Oh wow Sue, what a start to your new launch, beautiful due and card. Must have the Angel, I have all the others.
Dragonsnap welcome back, glad you had a lovely holiday.
Laine, lovely to see you, hope things are easier for you now. Stop fishing for compliments, you know you were well and truly missed X
Saba, think you are outvoted, Durham is up there with the promised land.
P so sorry about your hand. Yeti must be a really damaged cat, poor thing but you will bring him round.
Cheryl, thank you and all if the ladies for your kind words of support, it is good to be able to lean on your shoulders, so many colleagues leaving as they can't take any more of the bad management, so sad it used to be such a happy place to work.
Well done Maureen on going solo, don't you dare challenge Elaine, she us nobbled at the moment.
Dreadful events at Grenfell Tower in London, truly scenes of horror, all those poor people trapped in that fire. My heartfelt sympathies to all involved and their worried families. Once again our emergency services, hospitals, police and fire brigades came up trumps, they are marvellous.
Daily hugs to all, enjoy the new blogathon.

Hi Sue
Excited to see your new dies in this release. The angel is so pretty and being smaller I am sure it will be versatile. Our thoughts are with those poor people involved in the Grenfell Tower catastrophe.

Morning Sue. I've been looking forward to this year's festive dies, to the samples you're about to share with us since the previews on various websites. It's amazing how your designs have changed since the very first festive release you did and I love how you've done the borders, the frames and tags etc won't give too much away just in case there are followers that like surprises. This year's little beauty is just that, beautiful. I won't mention the blog to my keeper as I'd like his heart rhythm to remain within the normal limits so we can celebrate our anniversary when it arrives lol Christmas in June ?!!? Would be the reaction lol.
I will have to dip in when I can as we are treating ourselves to lunch out but I'm really looking forward to the rest of the launch today and the days to come.
Have a wonderful exciting day dear Sue xxx

Good morning Sue,
A great start to your Christmas Die Launch.
My thoughts and prayers are with all the people effected by that devastating fire.
As the mother of a Fire Fighter I thank God they do not have to deal with fires like that every day.
Remember! the Fire Fighters are the ones running into a burning building when people are running out.
I hope they get to the root cause of what happened ASAP and people find out soon about their loved ones.
Pam as always a great Summary.
Have a great day everyone

Woooohoooo!!!! x x x x x
What a start to this highly anticipated (in my opinion) festive collection - quite comical that yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far and here we are getting excited about Christmas x
Please can you all take a moment to be impressed by the fact that I am commenting so early x
Hobble and Wobble made it home in good time and were going out for something to eat last night x
So shocking to watch the horrific scenes of the fire. Such a tragedy - thinking of all those poor people who have been affected. It was incredibly touching to see all the kindness of strangers regardless of their background or religious belief x
OK going to rest up in preparation for the next amazing reveal x
Take care

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a wonderful start to the day and you 2017 festive blogathon, we have all been waiting with baited breath to see your samples and quite rightly so that the 2017 Angel is up first, she is so beautiful, am pleased it is a little smaller (not that I don't like the previous angels - I have them all) I like the detail of the twinkles and lines that are there and I am looking forward to seeing more samples in the weeks to come. You have come up with a real winner here.

Pam I reiterate all that you have said above. My heart goes out to everyone involved with the terrible fire in London yesterday, as you and everyone on here has already said, our wonderful services and people of all backgrounds have joined together at this terrible time to help. My granny lived in Latimer Road many years ago before these flats were built, I recall that her flat was pulled down to make way for tower blocks.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxx

Another beautiful angel Sue. I missed your first one but have the others. Lovely card. I can see this one being very popular especially as slightly smaller than previous years.
Thoughts and prayers to all those involved in whatever way with the fire. Horrendous news but great to see how everyone has rallied round regardless of race, colour, creed. These disasters seem to bring out the best in people but still a shame that they have to happen.

Dear Sue,

Congratulations on bringing all these new designs all the way to launch!

And thank you for making us all so very happy!

This first sample must have about five new dies in it. I have to agree with Nancy from Belgium that the little border is awesome.

The Littlest Angel sounds like the name of a Christmas book. But it's this die!

I'm just sorry I got here too late to have collected all the others.

Happy anniversary Stephanie! Will you tell which dies your groom snuck into the closet for you?

Way to catch the early bird, Yvonne. Love your family stories. Glad your fog is lifting.

Happy (belated) Birthday to Rebecca, but it's not belated if you keep celebrating for the rest of the month! And you're such a youngster!

Laine, I'm glad you're back. Sorry you weren't feeling well, but glad you looked in when you didn't feel like being seen. You don't have to be entertaining and amazing all the time. You could just say "Wow" or "Crikey" or "Yo," and it would count as a comment for Sue.

Now I'm going to look at a retailer to see how many of the new dies are part of this first chapter in The Prettiest Angel story.

CraftySueToo, are you kidding? If we all worked together we would not get a single lick of work done. We'd be in the break room all day, making cards! But if we all worked together making samples for Sue, you might have something there!

Love,
Donita

Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Oh, i am sooo excited.....though not excited enough to comment at 6.30am Yvonne, are you trying to do me a mischief? As you know, ive not been a huge fan of angels over the years, much prefer a snowflake, poinsettia or snowman, but this little beauty definitely changes my mind. I love the fact that she is smaller but with the added bonus of a background i cant see why she would not join my collection pronto. The card sample is stunning and features a few interesting dies that are really intriguing me, particularly the borders and background to the wonderful sentiment. I don't care if its summer and mid June...not that you'd notice with this dreadful weather:-(.....i am ready for Christmas and all the sparkle and glitz that entails!
I'll comment in more detail later on. Hope everyone is well and has a nice day enjoying this crafting feast...my thoughts and prayers are extended to those affected by the fire in Kensington, the emergency services have done us proud yet again and should be commended for their valour.

Love and crafty hugs

Hi Sue

I am so excited to see your new dies in this release. I make small cards so this pretty angel is perfect for what I need.

Thoughts and prayers for all effected by the fire at Grenfell Tower.

Hello Sue,
I love this angel . She is beautiful and her trumpet is a lovely finishing touch! Having the background too with the lovely Star is gorgeous. You are very good at giving us stars and other extras on Die sets which come into their own after we get them home! Beautiful card too - love the frames!
I meant to comment earlier - saw PP 's comment and promptly passed out! Only came round a short while ago! Lol! Wow!
Echoing everything you have said Pam. Knowing Patricia and the parents of someone in the Metropolitan Police makes me think of their families too when tragedy strikes. We owe them an awful lot!
See you later , all being well. This Angel must join my others!
Love to all,
Myra ( Friend of Maureen!!) xxx

I love your angels. I am pleased this year's angel is smaller. Your design today is lovely. Forty new dies in this latest die release - WOW! Looks like I will have to get a job with pay to help me buy all the ones I surely will want of these. Looking forward to seeing more of these dies.

Lovely angel and versatile. She would make a lovely musician or dancing girl by simply trimming her wings or trumpet off.

Hi Sue, I didn't ask for a smaller angel with an outline cut but here it is, I pulled my 2016 angel out a few days ago getting ready for Christmas wishing it had a outside die.

Lovely card Sue, you are so talented.

Hello Sue,
What a wonderful way to start showcasing your new collection, your Little Christmas Angel is beautiful and this year she comes with her own starry background, wonderful. I'm playing catchup today, we've been decorating all day and this is the first time I've got to sit down properly.

Pam I echo your thoughts today, our firefighters deserve a medal for what they did yesterday and they are in my prayers today, they will need lots of support in the months to come to help them deal with such a harrowing experience. My thought and prayers also for all those poor people affected by this latest tragedy.
Love and hugs
