Christmas Double Days

Hi crafters!  I have selected a couple of fairly traditional cards for today's double day offering.  For the first card, I started with the top section and cut a square of white card and added a thin red mat.  I used the Poinsettia Corners cut out of white and backed with red card that was glittered with Diamond Snow behind them.  I cut the Holly Octagon die in white and used it in the very centre of the card.  The Lavish Joy die was cut in white and black and then added to the centre of the Holly die.  I cut four of the Poinsettia/Holly Gemini die in white and added them around each of the sides of the topper.  I cut them again in red and just nipped away the poinsettia to add atop the original ones.  I added this entire piece to a larger piece of coconut white card and added white pearl corners.  A thin red mat was added then a double white mat to complete the card.  The finished dimensions
are 8" x  8" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

What is more traditional than Santa Claus I say! LOL  I stamped the Christmas Cheer Stamp To Die For in black and coloured it with pencils.  I cut him out with the matching Poinsettia Filigree die.  I cut one more in black and cut it in half to use as a shadow.  I embossed a piece of coconut white card with the Star Swirls folder and added a piece of decorative striped paper (from my stash) to the bottom of the card.  I cut the Ornate Holly Framed Noel die in white and backed it with white then cut one side off to use as the border between the two pieces.  I cut two red poinsettias and accented them with Holly Branches and seated them on the border to the left.  I attached the stamped cut out to the upper portion of the card.  The card was completed with a white pierced mat, red and black thin mats and a final white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  Hope you liked them!  All for now, Sue x

Lovely cards, both gorgeous, which to choose........ No 1 just edges it for me.
Tina, hope you are managing with Mick, it is shameful that a "Care service" does not care to get it right for the patient.
Elaine, Andrew has a great sense of humour, hope his call comes soon, if not call them.
Tina T, I'm glad that Peter is getting the care he needs, you must be so anxious, but he is in the best place for now.
Steph, don't let me near the sparkle paste, what a mess I would be in, but I love the idea of a crafting marathon with us all.
Tracey and Lynda, what a pair you are, poor Terry, touted around the blog, he must be mortified, Tracey's hubby, watch out, they will be after you next. Tracey so good to hear your cyber laughs.
I too got news yesterday about the sudden death of a friend I hadn't seen for a while, what a shock, they are gone so suddenly.
Hugs to all, take care.

Morning Sue. Hmmmm, not sure..... there's a lot going on with the first sample but I adore the centre octagonal holly die and feel it's a must to own and the pointsettia as always is a festive gem.
The second sample makes me want to adopt a grandad that resembles this warm sweet old man, but all I ask of you is don't ask me to pick a favourite cuz I can't 😕
What I can do is send you a Friday hug and hope you enjoy your day xxx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, Friday double day and what a selection you have produced for us, the dies you have used in both of them are fantastic, the embossing on the dies really does stand out which is what we all want. I am having a really hard time choosing between them though so I will not try they therefore both get 100 points........................

It has been raining her in Kent this morning so it is a wee bit fresher, I can't stand this oppressive heat, it is so, so uncomfortable.

Pam I am sorry to hear of the loss of one of your friends, hugs xx

My thoughts and hugs are with Tina, Mick, Elaine, Andrew, Tina T and Peter, Steph, Tracey and Lynda xx

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Morning sue and crafters.

Two smashing cards awaiting us this morning. Although it is normal to have reds gold n green for xmas. I went all out this year to be different. I went for light blue pinks and Lilac. With a hint of silver and gold. Must admit they've turned out pretty good. Lynda b will vouch for them lol.

Yesterday after watching John use the gilding polish I fell in love with those as they look less messy than wax although I love the smell of the wax. I really had to resist purchasing as I've spent a fortune recently on stuff and not done much crafting. And as I'm still not back to work. Need to watch pennies now. Don't think Graeme knows quite how much I've spent as I didn't use the credit card for a lot of it as he'd notice lol

Yvonne g. I'm patiently waiting for the pixies to arrive. I was laughing at ur comment yesterday about taking a deep breath and releasing my inner pixie, however I'm sure I was a kelpie at brownies many many years ago lol.
As for colours I ordered firework, peacock green, purple and a teal.
Shame I couldn't do a video for all u guys ud probably pee ur self laughing. I'd be branded as how NOT TO USE PIXIE POWDERS. Lol

To all needing a cuddle here's a biiiiiiig one with a kissy thrown in

Hope all those who need appointments or treatment get them very soon.
Pam - I was sorry to read about your friend! It's such a shock - as you well know - when it isn't expected but for that person probably the best way to go. It's those left behind who suffer more. Sending you hugs.
Our weather forecast for this week was awful - it has in fact been a lovely week apart from rain during the night on Wednesday night and rain Monday morning! It's lovely again now.
