Snow Globe Shaker Card

Hello there my crafty friends!  Today's video shows how to use the new treat cups in conjunction with the Snow Globe die.  It is really very easy and I will walk you through it step by step in the video.

The finished dimensions are 7" x
7 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Stunning card, lovely.
Had a lovely day yesterday, working in garden, planting my two new white cone shaped hydrangeas, they are stunning. It was my daughter Lesley's 24th wedding anniversary yesterday, her 47th birthday today, gosh am I really that old?
Tina T, good news that Peter was a bit brighter, he has a lot of us ladies asking after him and you, you must take care.
Elaine, glad you are feeling better and hope Andrew and his wife had a lovely meal.
Yvonne, what fantastic news, it has taken a while but the boys are back together, now you must settle down and get stronger.
June Smith, I am so impressed at your organisation, spreadsheet for your dies, well done. I have a few that I have duplicated lol.
Tina and Mick, hope all is well with you.
Julie Laz glad to see you back .
Hugs to all

Good morning Sue and crafters all,
Beautiful Christmas card today Sue. How ironic I was watching you make this on the website last night whilst making a birthday card for my sister . So ordered the snow globe and treat cups and are eagerly awaiting their arrival.
Peter had a fluid drip up yesterday to help lower his creatinine level due to his dehydration. Thanks for all the good wishes ladies, you are a boost to my moral.
Love and crafty hugs,

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I am loving this shaker card, I have all the ingredients so will have a try.

Yes Pam, if I didn't do the spreadsheets I would be so lost I have 1,600 dies registered but of course these are the packets so there must be a few 1,000 actual dies in total, I just hope the floor doesn't collapse with the weight. That of course is not forgetting the Stamps and Embossing Folders, Groovi plates, etc. etc. I suppose this stems from work when I used to teach people how to use the systems. I have a simple spreadsheet for my bank accounts, so everything that comes in and out is recorded, and then I know at any one time what I have left to spend that month, I actually love doing it too which is a bonus.

I bet the Hydrangeas look really lovely, unfortunately I don't have green fingers at all (unless I am using colour cloud or something) I leave all that up to my hubby who loves it, I just reap the benefits, but our garden does look beautiful.

I know what you mean about feeling old, my youngest will be 40 in a couple of months, only seems like yesterday that my boys were all young.

Yvonne, I was so pleased to read that your boys are back together again, I have 3 of them all grown up now but 2 of them don't get on with the eldest one, it does cause so many problems but we learn to live with them.

Elaine and Andrew, hope things continue to improve and that Andrew enjoyed his meal

Tine T, I hope that Peter had a good day yesterday and continues to be brighter.

Tracy - I know what you mean by expanding waistline - xx

Steph - sorry that the market was pants, and you didn't cover your table costs, I know from experience that a lot of work goes into preparing and setting up the tables, but don't get too down hearted because the next time it will be much better, as you say what with holidays etc. that would be why.

Elaine, hope the leg is feeling much better.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hiya Sue. Have seen this gorgeous sample numerous times and thought how pretty it looks especially in these cool crisp colours. I've heard these great cups mentioned many a time and seen stills, but no treats (no white chocolate fudge bribery treats inside though ) !!! Now I kinda get it - well at least when I've watched the video tutorial I will lol so looking forward to watching a little later, I'm almost certain these will go down a great at market so I'd better watch, but what I need and get my act together, I do find it really hard to think of and get excited about making any festive projects during the summer months though, but come October, like it or not I have to start and get my festive stash out ready to try and get my brain in gear to top up my festive market baskets even then I find it difficult to get going !
So after all that rambling, I'll send you my usual daily hugs and wish you a lovely day xxx

Hi Sue,

Stunning card! There is something magical in Snow Globes, I well remember getting my first one as a child and marvelling at how they could get all the glitter in the water without spilling any of it. Still haven't fathomed it out and funnily enough I bought one for a good friend only last Christmas.

Just the right kind of card to start making with the Brownies Group. I bet they will love making these, once I purchase the dies and cups of course.

Fantastic time spent in the shadier parts of my garden, I think my mojo has finally come back and I am enjoying gardening again. A lot of clearing up and sorting out round the back of the greenhouse has resulted in bags of rubbish. I think my son will need to come back with his van to clear it away, it certainly won't all go in my little Corsa. I will tackle the greenhouse tomorrow.
Healing thoughts and gentle hugs for all our poorly fellow Wilsonettes and gurt big squishy ones for everybody else.

Love 7 hugs

Hi Sue and lovely ladies
sorry not been able to get on to comment for soooooo long and unfortunately it will probably be hit and miss going forward. Most recently, my father-in-law has been in hospital 7 weeks and we're pretty sure he has dementia, very busy trying to sort everything out for him. Just found out on Saturday that my cousin passed away too (on her late mum's birthday), don't know what happened yet but she was only 49 and lived on her own, so sad.
On a much happier note though, love shaker cards and this one is gorgeous. The frosty colour scheme is one of my favourites and your video demo was brilliant Sue, so inspiring. The glossy flowers are a touch of design genius.
Hope everyone is OK, stuff happens in life and we have to soldier on but my thoughts are with those who are struggling for whatever reason.
Love and blessings to all.

OMG June, you are so organised - however, with that many dies you would need to be. Staggering. Do any sit lonely and unused? My (very few) redundant ones go off to eBay and pastures new when they have done their duty, and finance the next ones.
Princess Pixie (you must realise this may be a short-lived title once Tracy gets going) - sooo pleased the boys have reconciled - just in time for Auntie Laine's visit, can feel your sigh of relief.
Hugs to all our poorly pals.

Good evening SUe and the Wilsonettes,
Oh the memories that snowglobes bring back to me of a childhood like no other in many ways. I have loved this card since you made it up to show off your new dies for this christmas Sue and the shine has not worn off yet as i still love it. The aqua colour that you have used along with the white is just so perfect for this card, nice and subtle keeping that dreamy look. Thank you lovely lady for such a beautiful piece of inspiration.
June, i did the same about a couple of years ago in making a spreadsheet up to take all the dies i had as i got fed up finding i had already had it. I have my embossing folders on another page and my stamps on a third, video/cd roms on a 4th. I have listed mine in numerical order under each makers name. The only thing is i seemed to delete my last column and because i am not proficient in data base work i couldn't work out how to get it back, idiot that i am.
Well my daughter, s.i.l and grandson go away their holidays tomorrow to Majorca so it is going to be quiet for the next fortnight. I have embroidered all his towels with his name for her and the same for a special neice who is going with them for her wee boy. Wee tots are funny though once they can start speaking as her son is amazed that his towel has come with his name on it, imagine that the shop had one with his name on it. I forgot just how much fun my machine is when i get it out and going so i might just get one other things done while it is out.
I hope that you all have had a lovely day, sending hugs to all that need, want or could do with them,
Love and crafty hugs

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Gosh!Wow!Amazeballs! How much do I LOVE this card! I'm not ashamed to say that I almost wet myself with sheer delight at the sight of this stunning creation:-) I think that it may possibly be my favourite festive card to date, you really produce the goods when creating Christmas cards Sue, I'm in absolute awe at your talents.
I haven't started buying my Christmas dies yet as I'm saving for Ally Pally first ......in all honesty, I bought about 25 of last years release and can't really justify buying more but this release is just so different that I simply cannot resist temptation....but the snow globe die is right up there on my wish list, as are all of the accompanying dies used on this card. I do have the twinkle EF though which is a start. The little cups are ingenious, they are sure to be a sell out, love them with the micro beads as the shaker element. I will definitely be blatantly copying this card at some point:-) Fabulous tutorial, special thanks for the measurements of the card layers.
A sunny, if breezy, day here in Stirling so I took the opportunity to have a little sunbathe with the neighbours...we all congregate outside like flies when the sun shines bidding farewell mid September until April the following year:-)
Had a FaceTime call with Yvonne planned earlier so that she could show off her newly organised craftroom and the pixie powder backgrounds she been creating, however, she let me down:-( She hadn't finished the job because of George's return....I think I can forgive her this time because she is one happy mummy enjoying a harmony between her boys that has never been witnessed before and I am so happy for her:-) Yvonne has promised me that her boys walk around topless and even in their boxers occasionally which is an improvement on Tracy's FaceTime call with Lynda :-) Some of you may think that gazing at young men who I could ,just , have been their VERY young mother is wrong on so many levels but Yvonne has kindly given me her permission...as long as I refrain from touching:-)
I'm quite excited to try the pixie powders, you really are the pixie princess now Yvonne and I look forward to benefitting from your experience in the field and trying all the colours before I buy, what more could a crafter ask for?
June, I am well impressed with not only your organisational skills but also your die collection. I counted my Sue collection and have just about 200 die sets and counting, I dread to ask how many you have lest I feel ashamed of my own collection. Do you use all of your dies from other brands? I find that mine are gathering dust whilst I stick to using Sues releases. Yvonne has developed a method of record keeping that involves a pen and a garish notepad that I will utilise also in the hope that I don't double up on any more dies.
Deb, lovely to hear from you, so sorry that you've been having such a tough time, I hope things improve for you and that we see you more often on the blog.
Tracy, good luck at the doctors, Nevermind that expanding waistline, more for hubby to grab hold of...men don't like skinny chicks like me:-)
Elaine, good luck with Andrews appointment, glad to hear that your leg is improving
Maria, lovely to hear from you the other day, shame we can't meet up at Ally Pally:-(
Norah, nice to see you back
Frances, hope you're blood tests come back with a clean bill of health...did you get tea and a biscuit afterwards:-)
Sending cuddles to all my blog bestiesxxx

So Princess Pixie has had a rather pleasant day. George cleaned my front room window, tidied the kitchen and emptied the dishwasher and I watched. Got to give him something to do, would hate him to get bored. Unfortunately he is not working at the moment but really has no idea what he wants to do. My child benefits and child tax credits will cease this week so going to be on an extremely tight budget. Told him that I have lots of jobs lined up for him. Think this will make the job hunting a more desirable prospect. If not I will hire him out as a handy man. There will be an extra charge for him being topless and if I can persuade him to wear even less clothes then perhaps I could make a small fortune. Anyone interested? Lol. Not you Laine x
Laine - I don't know who I should be most afraid for when you stay. You or the boys!! You are in for some serious Micky taking my girl. If you think I'm bad you wait until all three of us gang up on you. That said after your comments this afternoon, which cleary showed a somewhat disturbing excitement on your part that you will be within touching distance of bare male flesh during your visit, I think it best that I advise the boys to find alternative accommodation between 13th and 22nd September. Looks like I will have to find something to distract you. Hugs to you x
June - spreadsheets - how impressive. However I do think you are bragging - what is wrong with a notebook from Pound Land and a Bic Biro?! Lol. Laine may well mock my system in public but I can assure you she was incredibly enthusiastic when I told her I had got her her very own notebook. Sparkly and blue and holographic don't you know?! I cannot tell you how delighted I am that we are all back together under the same roof but sorry to hear about your boys. It makes life so difficult. Hugs x
Pam - I love hydrangeas. Jake seems to be quite green fingered in the hydrangea department and we have quite a few in the back garden in various different colours. I always think they are such happy flowers. Hugs x
Elaine - hope Andrews' appointment goes well on Thursday. I'm glad that your leg has eased up. Hugs x
Tina T - sending you and Peter love and hugs x
Tracy - let me know bout the gilding polishes. Really fancying them.
Fluffy - honestly I am so much more relaxed already. Hugs x
Theresa - hugs x
Deb C - hello lovely. Missed you. Sorry you're going through it hun. Sending you love and hugs x
P - yes a huge massive sigh of relief which has now been replaced with apprehension as to what Laine thinks she is allowed to get up to during her stay. Lol hugs x
Maria - lovely weekend and in for a lovely week. Hugs x
Well 2 weeks from now and Lippy Laine will be here! Unless I manage to talk her out of it. Lol x
In for a sunny week but cooler than last week. Mind you 25° is still very warm. Mind you George has gifted me with plenty washing to keep me busy.
Sending lots of love to everyone especially to absent friends x
Take care
Crafty hugs

Beautiful card Sue! I have already watched the video on YouTube and loved it, I haven't started my xmas cards yet but will be making a few shaker cards for sure.

TRACY I am originally from the east end of Glasgow but moved to a small village called Carnwath just outside Lanark. I have lived here for 9 years and love the country life. As I don't drive its a rare treat to get to Craftworld and I usually spend a fortune!!! My other craft shop is Stampers Grove in Edinburgh which has a fantastic selection of stamps.

Not really a fan of shaker cards, but I love the dies that you used and I would do something a little bit different. Thanks for sharing Sue!!

Hi Sue. Ooooh I love your beautiful snow globe card today !!! It is gorgeous Sue !!! Your video is fab to. I love the look of the Chic grey blue colour cloud ink. I may have to consider getting this one. I really love my Aqua colour cardstock and still have much of it left as I can never bring myself to use it as I want to keep it !!! I know I sound mad but it is one of my most favourite cardstock colours !!! I love the snow globe die and the snowman decorative die is my favourite one. The little snow globe cups look really good to as they are flat across the top instead of curved which I think will make it much easier for crafting purposes and postage !!! The Twinkle, twinkle EF is on my huge long wish list, along with your new Poinsettia additions dies. ( You can never have to many Poinsettia dies in my opinion !!! ) I love your idea to make the Poinsettia's with white gloss card. It is just something different and a bit more special looking, especially with the micro beads shaker. The ribbon looks great and the sentiment to, giving your card it's beautiful "Sue Wilson" style finishing touches !!! Thank you Sue for sharing your gorgeous card today. Sending lots of love to you Sue from Tres x x x

Hi Maria Alder. I am so excited that you have replied to me !!! I would love to meet up with you all on Saturday 17th at Alley Palley. I am hoping to meet my wonderful crafty friend Gloria Robey there to. I will leave a comment on the Cotswold Crafters blog. Sending lots of love to you from Tres x x x

Sending lots of love to everyone from Tres x x x

What a fantastic card!!! Your video is so great at explaining how to make it. I do wish you would offer a package that contains the dies, beads, glue and cup used to make it so we could order everything easily.
