Beautiful card, lovely.
Congratulations to Welsh Dors.
Elaine, hope the leg is feeling better, if not get it checked out again. We are all worried. Hope Andrew is still doing well.
Tina, so sorry the Carers are not sorted out yet but happy that Mick is still doing well, now it's you we are concerned about, hope Mum had a lovely day.
Cheryl, what a lovely day you had planned, great treat for you.
Tracey, the Counselling sessions will help release all if the pent up grief, both from your dad and your illness, you are being so strong.
Sam you are so right about the scam emails, I work in the civil service, we would never ask for passwords, bank details or any personal details in an email, neither would the banks or any responsible companies. A good tip is never open the link, instead use the www, address direct to check it out. Take care folks there are some very bad people out there, cyber crime is the biggest crime in the world now.
Gentle hugs to all who are not well, bigger hugs to everyone else.

Hi Sue. So sorry but this isn't one of my favourite samples, I love the background die as it's so useful for other cards, but until my brain and vision meet together I don't find the nativity easy to make out, I don't know if it's the white card that makes it difficult to make out or what. I'm sure I will be the only one with this opinion and for that I apologise, but one card that doesn't make me smile since Jan 1st 2016 can't be all that bad can it ?
Sending congratulations to the new W.W.C. member on receiving your beautiful gift from Sue.
Hope I've not offended you Sue by my comment, hopefully my usual hugs will help. Have a good day whatever your plans on this wet nasty Saturday xx

Very striking card, Sue, great background and the touch of micro beads for texture such a good idea. Like Steph, the Nativity not a favourite but could maybe use other dies for the focal element. Thanks again for the video.
Tracy - nothing like a little crafty shopping to lift the spirits! Hey, colour clouds - but are you up for pixie powders yet? ha ha
Well done to Welsh Dors on the card win.
Hugs to all, especially our missing pals.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, sorry I am late this morning, didn't have a very good night, woke up about 2:30 and tossed and turned for what seemed like hours and now I am awake but feeling very tired, you know when you head that heavy headed feeling anyway enough about me I am fine.

Congrats to Welsh Dors on your card win, you will treasure it.

Tina, pleased that Mick is continuing to do well but not that the carers are sorted yet, hang in there lovely lady.

Tracey I have never had counselling but I know people who have and they have all said how it helped them, so go for it and stay positive.

Elaine how is the leg today, did you get it checked out?, hope Andrew is doing OK

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi sue and crafters.

I love the background colour and die but I'm not keen on nativity things. Sorry sue :-(.

June s. I would recommend counselling to anyone if it's suggested to them by a dr it's helped me a lot.and Ive had counselling for other matters not just cancer related. It does really help but it's not for everybody what I would say is try one session an if u don't like it or are not keen don't go again but at least try it

P in Wales. I knew u would have something to say about the colour clouds or trying pixie powders as u know I have "messy" issues I was laughing away reading ur comment. I do love the look of those amazing blue n purple collections. I might branch out and go for it!! Lol xx

Tina. Hope ur leg gets better and that Mick is continuing his progress

Elaine so glad your leg seems to be improving but please be careful my brother fell and hurt his foot and days later developed deep vein thrombosis. Tracy so glad the counselling is helping hope the visit to the hairdresser goes well. Where is Norah? I miss hearing about her beautiful hills.

Yes MORNING!!!! Feels like the middle of the night so I would like everyone to take a couple of seconds to be impressed - especially you Laine x
Oh wow. This beautiful creation is perfect. Christmas has become very commercialized and this card draws us back to the true meaning of what the festive season is all about. I am not terribly religious but have many friends and know lots of people who would so appreciate such a wonderful card.
Ray of light die is just amazing and can be used for so many cards. Thanks Sue x
Congratulations to Welsh Dors - lucky lucky you x
Sorry I failed to appear yesterday. My day was quite well planned out. Jake has been away in France this week fishing and it was my last day of freedom, lol. George and him have still not settled their differences so George has been staying here whilst Jake has been away. Anyway my plans of a quietish day - lazy morning George going out after lunch - yipee playtime - was going to play with Pixie powders and then try and make a card with the huge pile of 'backgrounds' I have managed to accumulate since realising I am in love with the pixie powders.
Well - George decided he was staying in and the I had a text from my brother to say could he 'doss' here overnight. He lives in Durham but 3 or 4 times a year comes down to see a band gig in London and take photographs then comes back here to sleep on the settee at about 1 in the morning and leaves about 9 the next morning.
He is not the most organized person in the world and usually I get a text the day before he comes but he had forgotten so my short notice was reduced to a few hours instead of a day!!!
George at a party last night and all set to comment at about 10 last night but my brother returned early as the gig was earlier and shorter than normal.
All my plans for a relatively stress free day out of the window. Never mind, Jake not home til this evening so will try and salvage a little of what went wrong yesterday!
Hoping to speak to Laine at some point today. We did have a call 'scheduled' for about 8 last night butvshe wasn' feeling too good so fingers crossed we will catch up today if she is up to it. Hope you're feeling better hun. Sending hugs. Besides, once you are brighter I can resume the usual service of insults and put downs x
Tracy - all that money you save on your hair can be put to such good use. Think of all the wonderful crafty bits you can add to your stash!! I challenge you to embrace the pixie powders!!! I am not a messy crafter but when you start to 'play' and see what happens you will be so excited. Wholeheartedly agree with you about the counselling. I was so resistant to the idea for a whole year after Steve died. Eventually I crumbled (in more ways than one) and decided to give it a go with the intention of stopping after the first session so at least I could tell people I had tried it. Well this poor lady who obviously was a complete stranger and had drawn the short straw of being my counsellor listened to me blub uncontrollably whilst pouring out my heart for at least 10 sessions. More often than not I would come out and question myself as to why it was that I had managed to tell a complete stranger things that I would not dream of telling anyone else!!
I also managed to keep Kleenex in business for a long time and I believe that their profit margins increased and I take the credit! Lol x

Princess Pixie! said...

Sorry- far too much to say in one comment. Forgive me as I didn't comment yesterday and was absent for a week!!!
June - so sorry you are feeling yuk. That heavy head feeling is the pits. Take it easy, rest up and craft. Hugs x
Elaine - you really should get that leg checked out. For our peace of mind if not your own. You would be the first person to tell someone else to go and see the doctor so you should follow your own sound advice. Hope Andrew enjoys the caravan. (Jealous - love a caravan hol)!! Well done on your crochet squares. Hugs x
Tina - hope things get sorted very soon. Making all those phonecalls in a bid to solve things is so frustrating. Happy 86th birthday to your mum. Sending you hugs x
Sam - scam e mails are so annoying. I am quite lucky as I don't seem to be plagued by that many. However the phonecalls and texts I get about PPI and all the accidents I have apparently had drive me bonkers x
OK, I think I have said enough for one day. Sorry for such a long and drivelling composition.
Last full day of the Olympics which is rather sad as I have so enjoyed it. Never mind. Only 4 weeks to Ally Pally - yippedy doo da x
Lots of love to every one especially Lynda, Lorraine, Maria, P, Fluffy, Wheely, Pam and any of my other blog buddies whose names I have forgotten. Please don't take it personally and think you are less loved!!! x
Have a good day people.
Take care
Happy thoughts

Hi Sue

A very opulent card, would be perfect for a few people I know. The background die (is it ray of light?) Could have many uses I think. Hope all is well with you Sue, big hugs xxx

Congratulations to all this week's winners xxx

Elaine, love that you have got the crochet bug. I manage a good session every couple of weeks and the odd quarter of an hour between. My mum taught me when I was 5 or 6 and although I neglected it in my late teens I came back and picked it up fast using you tube. So many beautiful yarns though... Sigh! Just watch that American, Australian and UK terms differ, if you ask the search engine you'll find plenty of charts to tell you what is what and then you can take advantage of beautiful patterns from all over the world. Have fun, and hope that leg is on the mend. Glad Andrew is doing well too, big hugs xxx

Tracy, if a guy with grey hair is a "silver fox" then you must be a silver vixen... Has quite a ring to it I think! It's been on hell of a year so perhaps your new hair colour is the mark of a new chapter in your life full of good things, big hugs xxx

Tina, it's been hard enough organising help for my basic needs so I can't imagine how stressful getting Mick the right help has been. Stand your ground with all of the various organisations as your needs are just as important and being messed about is a stress both you and Mick don't need. I dearly hope it's all sorted soon, big hugs xxx

Not long til Ally Pally... I need those that are going to do me a favour- raise a slice of cake and a cuppa to me, buy lots of lovely things, give Sue, Julia and John a hug/ handshake/ high five from me (delete as applicable) and most important of all have a lovely time meeting and greeting each other. I'm working on a way to attend at some point in time but until then, you'll have to have fun on my behalf- that is an order people! I shall be at home, watching Hochanda and maybe even crafting along (and definitely online shopping lol). Desperate to try pixie powders so they'll be my next purchase.

Theresa G, agree 100% this group has done so much for me in the last couple of years, big hugs xxx

Lorraine, I hope you start feeling better soon, big hugs xxx

Lynda, big hugs from me and cuddles from Billy, who sends cuddles to P and Maria too xxx

Cheryl, lovely to see you back, Norah, hope all is well, Julie Laz, hope all is well for you too, Laine, Yvonne, Theresa W, Pat and Sarah, P, Fluffycat Frances, Pam, June, Marg, Maria and anyone I forgot. I started over an hour ago reading this week's comments so please accept my apologies if I forgot to put your name, you all mean a lot to me regardless and send big hugs to you all xxx

Sorry, seems this has to be a two-parter...

I honestly don't know where the week has gone! Still adjusting to having help everyday but it has made a difference to some things already even though it's exhausting me. Have loved the sport though and think that following that hasn't helped lol. Had one big fuzzy brain and a couple of small ones so not a bad week. Did actually have a couple of hours out in a nearby town with Mr and Billy midweek but we didn't bank on how poor the footpaths were by the river, very sore for a day or two after but was nice to be out. Had an al fresco coffee and brownie while Billy had a rest, people laughing as he drank water from a sports bottle, looking cool in his doggy bandana and generally being a very good boy. May have been because of the cheesy treats I had stashed in my handbag! Will have a shower now then settle down for the football and an early night. My team play tomorrow lunchtime and there's very little hope but I'll watch all the same! Glutton for punishment me! Have a friend coming round so we'll laugh about it together. On the hospital front I have sent a couple of emails to people with experience and am checking other groups, charities etc hope to have a good plan in place before I make an appointment with the Doctor. All your support for that has helped me so much, thank you all x

Forgive the long post, 5 days is a lot of catching up, loved how predictive text had turned me into Wheely bin a couple of times! Really did laugh out loud then, best chuckle I'd had in ages. Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend and send hugs and happy thoughts to everyone. I'll be back asap

The use of pixie powders gives the glorious sort of background needed by the Rays die which would be difficult to achieve by a non-artist like me. This is a die that is not confined to Christmas in my eyes. Perhaps the beginnings of a new day for someone starting afresh?

I have to agree with a few others about not liking the nativity die as a topper. For me it doesn't work but I can't explain to myself why that is the case. Perhaps it is the black and white. Not sure! This a rare occasion for me.

Good evening Sue and the lovely Wilsonettes,
This would be a good card for going abroad as it is what that magic time is all about but doesn't cost a fortune to post. I know i still need my eyes tested but i can't really make out Mary and the baby very well but i know they have to be in there some where but i definitely need that opticians appointment i think. Sorry Sue but i'll see it in its glory at some point flower, perhaps that wax stuff will highlight the important bits and show up it's definition.
Sorry folks that i haven't been in for a wee while but Rory has been off college since the 10th of june and seems to need both computer and ipad to play games with his friends, not the same game mark you, two different ones at the same time. Crikey it would take me all that i have just to be able to play one at a time never mind playing with friends as a team defeating whoever and playing another game as well. So this being the case i haven't been able to get a shot of the computer as it seems never ending him on it. Any way i haven't been up to doing much on it this past wee while being a bit down but i will pick up again, just need to get past the next 20 days over with Mum and Jim the same weekend. It was bad enough when i had Jim to get over but Mum deciding to go 2 days before his anniversary just makes it a huge effort and summit to over come. Any way i'll not bore you all with my downs and just say i hope you have all had a good week apart from the rain bursts and that you have a lovely weekend.
Hugs being sent to all that need them, want them or could do with them, Tracy, Tina, Wheely, Elaine

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Oh what an embarrassment of riches that I've missed over the past few days, how can you possibly think that we would get tired of your Christmas cards when they provide us with such invaluable inspiration. It goes without saying that I love every one of them, particularly your shaker card yesterday, however today's card offers us the option of creating something quick and simple for batch making purposes. Whilst it doesn't have a lot of intricate dies needed to create this beauty, the attraction of this card has to be the beautiful background achieved by the pixie powders and micro beads....I haven't invested in any as yet, waiting until seeing the range at Ally Pally, but Yvonne has been literally wetting herself with excitement over the effects created by these pocket rockets that I can't wait to give them a test run when I go to visit....she has promised that I can try before I buy but I think that I am already a convert based upon today's demo.
I have to admit that I wasn't too sure about the nativity die either, preferring a more contemporary festive card, but it really works on this card and I love the black gloss background as opposed to matt black card. Lovely card Sue, really eye catching.
I'm well and truly on the naughty step for non attendance lately but with a mixture of dodgy health issues and the gripping Olympic coverage the past two weeks have passed me by. I've made attempts at keeping abreast of everyone's news but such is my sieve like memory that I fear my recollection is rather sketchy so apologies if I fail to aknowledge anything of significance, I'm sure I'll catch up in the coming days. If I've not been watching live coverage of the Olympics I've been watching the recorded action....I deserve a gold medal for commitment to the Olympic cause:-)....in between visits to the nail technician, I have to have fabulous nails to impress Sue, the hairdressers and appointments for my Caci facials....it takes effort to look this fabulous dahlings:-)
I am beginning to get very excited about Ally Pally, it's now within touching distance and I can't quite believe that I will be going. Meeting Yvonne in the flesh will be a thrill....wait...I meant to say meeting Sue will be a thrill and an honour and I don't know how I will manage to contain myself. I will be positively star struck and totally giddy with delight, it's not often that I am rendered incapable of basic conversation but I fear that this will be the case in this instance.....maybe I should take a hip flask of neat gin with me to calm my nerves:-) Meeting Sue will be akin to bumping into George Michael for me, a man who has occupied my dreams since I was ten years old, but fear not Sue, I pose no threat to your physical person despite what some bitter twisted individuals may have suggested, so arming yourself with security guards and taser guns will not be necessary in this instance:-)
Yvonne, we are going to have a whale of a time when I visit, all you have to do now is assure your boys that the "axe murderer from Scotland" isn't going to murder you all in your beds as you sleep:-) By the way, I am well impressed at your early comment today because it's not often that your out of bed before noon is it? Enjoy all that endless amount of laundry provided by Jake when he returns from his fishing tripxxx
Special hugs to my missed blog buddies, I hope to catch up with your news in the coming days, special mention to P, Maria, Beth, Rebecca, Theresa, pat, Pam, Tracy, Jan, Wheely Bad, Frances, nana Tina, and Elainexxxx
