Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi there my crafty friends!  Guess what, no Christmas card for the giveaway!   I thought I would give you a reprieve today! LOL    I started this card with a piece of peach card and cut four of the Pavo Gemini dies in white.  I used both cutting edges for them as well as the decorative centre piece.  I created a frame by hooking the ends of each of them into a large square shape and glued them to the card.  For the focal element, I cut the Porto die in white and backed it with white, then used the smaller die in the Porto set for the frame around the sentiment.  I cut this one in white and backed it with white card as well, but used the inner die to cut it into a frame.  I stamped my sentiment and then mounted the frame over it.  I cut three flowers using the Classic Foldover flower and some matching peach felt (from my stash).  I rolled them and just cut them at different lengths to create different sized flowers.  I added some white Mosaic Leaves around them as accents.  I finished the corners with some white pearl corners and added my usual pierced mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  If you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this card, just leave me a comment.  I will post the winner's name on the Saturday blog post.  Al for now, Sue x

Hello Sue & All The Wilsonettes!
I hope you are all well & keeping warm! It is blowing a howler & raining, here in Rosemarket! We have a coal fire (thankfully!), which is blazing away but I am still freezing cold!
I hope none of you have had this dreadful flu, that's been going around? My Mum & I have both had it for about two weeks & it's only now we are getting over it! Mum was a lot worse than I was, as she is A LOT thinner than me! HEHE!
I really should get going on my Christmas cards (although I've made a few) but it has been too cold to move from the fire! Well, that's my excuse, anyway! HEHE!
Sue, you've made a lovely card again, today! It looks so elegant (as always!)! The colour combination makes it look very warm! I would love to be in with a chance of winning such a lovely card as this!
I hope that everyone going through tough times will find comfort soon!

Oh, I just love the Pavo die, and this card really shows it off. Very lovely card again, and I do love the Christmas ones also, not at all tired of seeing your creations for the holiday.
Any plans to bring Hochanda to the USA? It sounds like a very inspiring channel for crafters. I was very excited when you appeared on Create and Craft, but it seems there are no new Creative Expression items on anymore. I am assuming you are now exclusive to Hochanda? I must say Create and Craft is very boring without you, Sue.
To all the Wilsonettes or Wilsonites, hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Not sure if you celebrate in England, but it doesn't have to be a holiday to have a thankful heart. God Bless!

Good evening lovely Sue and the fab Wilsonettes,

Perfectly peachy! Today's card is a vision of loveliness, and how refreshing to see some of your older dies again- we should never neglect them in favour of solely using the newer editions. Really adore the felt flowers, wondering if Julia stocks it because it's on my next shopping list. The peach card is fast becoming a fave of mine, it's so soft a nd feminine and a pleasant change from other girly colours like pink.
Who wouldn't want to be the lucky recipient of this little beauty- though I must say that I could never get fed up of your Christmas themed cards, I love them and would welcome them all year round!
We've had a cold but sunnyish day in Stirling for a change, couldn't really make the most of it though, had to get my stitches out- I was a little nervous but had no need to be because it wasn't anything more than a slight tugging sensation and the infected areas were much improved so I don't need any more antibiotics:-) I guess I'll have to stop acting like the walking wounded so that I can get out of doing the dishes!
Wishing we celebrated Thanksgiving in the UK, imagine having two turkey dinners with all the trimmings in the space of four weeks!
Txcowgirl is spot on when she said that you shouldn't need a holiday to be thankful for what we have though, often we moan about our aches and pains, lack of money, bad weather etc etc rather than celebrating and appreciating the things in our life that are good.
We have adopted Black Friday though, you can't move for sales and offers at the minute- good for Christmas presents, not so good for the credit card though:-) wishing all of our American friends a happy Thanksgiving and hoping you get to enjoy the day with your loved onesxx
Julie, what a gem of a hubby, I'd be exploiting his generosity to the max- my addiction to Sues dies is such that there are no depths that I wouldn't sink to to acquire them, including making my family feel sorry for me:-) Unfortunately I am single and my Mum is immune to my emotional blackmail so I have to fund my own fetish:-( But seriously, he's worth his weight in gold.
Mary B, I don't think I would get much crafting done in this weather if I had an open fire to snuggle up to either
Tracy, hope you enjoyed your walk and the sunshine stretched to Ayrshire today. You rock that wig girl, though make sure it's securely in place because those winds on the coast can be brutal:-)
Yvonne, you poor dear, I hope that migraine hasn't been exacerbated by your baby sitting duties- company can be so tiring even if all you are doing is talking. Put your feet up and enjoy the Apprentice, it looks like a classic tonightxxx
Special hugs to Beth, Rebecca, Wheely Bad, Jan, Lorraine F, Maria, Saba, Theresa and anyone in need of a good cuddlexxx
Melody, Molly and Francis, thinking of youxxx

Crafty hugs,

Laine1972xxx

Gorgeous card again today Sue, I love the look you get from layering four of the dies.
Very beautiful and so very elegant especially with that colour too.

This card is such a testiment to all the care and attention that you give to the design of your dies, but the lovely way you have overlapped the ends and they look like that is how they are made to be...so eye catching! It may not be a Christmas card, but you could easily adapt it to be one! Thank you again for you great inspiration.

I love those dies! What a beautiful card Sue. After Christmas I'll be making another wish list for more dies. I love all of your products especially your pins and beads. I'm making Christmas pins for all of the ladies at our craft store. Have a great day!

Hi Sue,
Bit late for me but couldn't miss commenting on this beautiful card, love the Pavo die and how you have used it as a frame.
Not usually a fan of peach but I think you have just converted me, it looks so soft and gentle.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration, enjoy the rest if you can.

Tracy hope you enjoyed your walk, thinking of you.
Yvonne sorry you were not well yesterday.
Lorraine, glad those stitches are out, I think anyone who has had their stitches removed should get at least a week off washing up duties.
Melody sending you a big hug.
Love to all
Saba
