Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello my crafty friends!  It's another Wednesday card giveaway for you and this one is one of my favourites from the last show I did with Julia.  The Justrite Rose Bouquet stamp set is such a lovely one to use, I had to stop myself from picking it up constantly!  I started with the background and used the Justrite Iron Swirls background and stamped it using a clear Perfect Medium pad on to coconut white card.  I heat embossed it with white powder and used a Shaded Lilac distress pad to lightly ink the edges and bring out the stamped image.  I used the Rows of Bows Pinpoint embossing folder and embossed a wide strip and added it to the bottom of my stamped background.  Using the Filigree and Classic bow and matching ribbon dies, I added a border using the Classic as a base in purple and the Filigree over the top in white.  I made a single bow to match and added it in the centre.  For my focal element, I stamped the Rose Bouquet and cut it out with the Decorative Frames Set B from the California Collection.  I stamped my sentiment to the side in the open area of the die cut.  While still in the die, I inked lightly with Shaded Lilac before removing.  I stamped the Rose Bouquet another time and cut out the flowers and a few leaves.  I coloured them with distress markers and added them atop with mounting foam.  I glittered the roses with Diamond Snow by adding a small amount of dries clear glue to the flowers then sprinkling them with the glitter.  I finished the card with a pierced white mat, a thin purple mat and a final white mat and two pearls in the upper corners.  The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/4" in size.
If you would like to be entered in the drawing for this week's card, just leave a comment on the post today.  I will draw a name and post the winner on Saturday's post.  All for now, Sue x

Hello everyone , just wanted to wish Sandra a very happy holiday, have a great time. I too take that medication or Lansoprazol, which is very similar, both excellent.
Ecco, well done for setting the box up.
My brother is not coping very well away from Robbie, so he has decided to go home on Friday, a week earlier. We are all very sad but fully understand his decision. His wife said he is so restless at home too, just wish we could do more to help. But it has been lovely having him here even for a short while.
Hope all is well with everyone, love and hugs all round.

I do like today's card. I'd love it on my mantelpiece, but I'm not holding my breath. If I did tht every week I'd have died of asphyxiation by now!!
I like the idea of having the stamp at the top and embossing below the ribbon -and I do like the plain ribbon behind the fancy one. Maybe I've put off buying the plain one long enough as I can no longer cut out a plain lining.
Hugs Janet in Kent

Good evening Sue, this is my two-fer.
Thank you for your inspiration daily.
Well, I've had a good laugh out loud reading all the comments! Good job himself is out playing bowls or he'd wonder what was going on!
First of all Sandra I also found Omeprazole 20mg capsules are excellent when having to take a medley of different tablets. They also worked wonders for me.
Brenda Lello and Lynda - your posts have obviously been looking for a good home and decided to land on Sue's blog again and again, so funny. That's the type of thing I'd do!!!!
Janet, George can't even set his alarm clock (it's electric) and guess who gets the job to alter the clocks when it's Summer or Winter time adjustment. Then he says "are you sure that's right". Fortunately he heals quickly ha ha.
Norah, I was about 17 in the 1950's when my big brother bought a TV, oh the excitement - I can still remember it. Of course the programmes didn't start until evening and finished (I think) about 10 p.m. The screen was only about 14".
Love to all, especially Yorkielass June and Lynda, and I hope everyone is as well as they can be xx

Beautiful card. I must be one of the few who love to colour I have lots of stamps from lots of different companies and love the result when its finished, especially the cute ones .A lot of my friends don't like colouring so wont buy stamps for that reason.
Am off to Bedford tomorrow from here in Barry, s Wales we are going for a day out with our daughter while she has a job interview, she'll have to move if she gets the job. We are so proud of her as she left school and went straight to work then decided she wanted a degree so did 6 years studying while she worked full time as a P.A and got a 2-1 with honours.. Then she did a masters while working full time without any help from her employer and got a MA with merit in Town and Country planning. Hence the interview for a planning job.
Well huge hugs to all who need them and thank you for you mentioning me it really helps.
Love Theresa x

I just love this card Sue, well how could I not my favourite colour and flower two for the price of one. I bought the rows of bows folder from Joanna Sheen a couple of weeks ago but not used it yet, so you have now given me some incentive as my mojo has escaped at the moment, thanks again for a chance to receive one of your lovely cards.

Hi Sue,
another really beautiful card.
Your design is superb, and also your stamping is superb.
Love your dies, and wish I could afford them all.
Have been away from blogging for a while as I had a slipped disc in the top of my spine, which prevented me from typing and using the mouse.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
