Hello all! This is what I call a "petticoat card." I love doing these as they are just so girlie! I cut eight Italian borders out of kraft card and highlighted them with Antique Linen while still in the die. Using kraft card for my background piece as well, I glued them in an offset manner to the background piece to create the "petticoat" effect. Doesn't it just remind you of a dress your Mom put you in when you were little (not you male crafters out there though I hope! LOL) I matted the piece with a thin white mat to help make it pop then a black mat to frame it. I stamped my sentiment (from the Bold Sentiment set by Cr. Exp.) in black, cut it into a flag and matted it with red and black. I used the Classic Rose with the insert piece to make the flower (there is a video titled Filigree Blue Wedgewood which shows this technique) I seated the flower on the end of the sentiment tag with some black jute twine and embellished it with Curled Vines. I finished the entire piece with a double red mat with a pierced inner mat. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 9" in size. I hope you like it! All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue,
A very pretty card the Italian border is so elegant with the classic rose. Thanks again for sharing.
Enjoy the day and look forward to the sunshine tomorrow.

Good morning Sue, Pam and all Wilsonettes out there in craft land. Yes I like this petticoat card, another technique for me to try, I don't know how you think all of these up Sue, your such a talented lady, I am in awe of all your creations and look forward every morning to opening up the blog and getting a lovely surprise. I do hope everyone out there is keeping well and happy, I know it is not easy for some who have problems but remember you are not alone. Keep safe, healthy and happy today, June Smith xx
Morning Sue...I really like the pettiecoat effect. I've never seen it before. Very pretty.
Hi there Sue,
A absolutely beautiful card today but heck you must have patience girl, all that cutting out of the same die, in through and through again and again, not sure I would have the patience for this one but it does look very effective and would be great in any colour combo !! Hugs my friend, Vick x
Thanks, Sue. I love this way of using border dies, but I tend to forget about it until reminded by such an effective card.
Good morning, Sue, Pam and all the Wilsonettes .
A pretty card, Sue, but sadly, not for me.
Hugs to you all. Have a good day everyone, whatever the weather.

Lovely card Sue, so rich looking.
Trying to follow your advice folks, Steph and Norah, I am listening, and resting as much as I can.
Hope everyone is well, hugs to all and especially Baby Leo, Sam and Rory xx
Morning Sue Thank you this is another winner for me, it isso pretty. To all wilsonettes have a good day, take care Kitty.
Very pretty card and such great use of the Italian border, I will have to try it . Love the distress ink to highlight too. The rose sets it off so well, you are so clever

Lovely card Sue.
Very much a different card today, Sue, had a laugh thinking of your male crafters in their krafty petticoats - or not! Hi guys.
Caught up with yesterday's video (thank you) and just love this card - like others have said, it was my favourite in the releases. Clever design and bags of inspiration.
Strange busy day yesterday, ending with tears as my beloved ex-feral cat Guinness had to be PTS (in my arms) with kidney failure. Tried to catch up with various things then found over £500 of paypal fraud on my account so that took over an hour to sort out. Frustrating and somewhat frightening too as it has happened before despite all precautions. Ah well.

Alison - so sorry about your aunt, she sounds wonderful and very special; can only imagine your heartbreak.
Hello Sue, a really lovely card, the "petticoat" layers are gorgeous, and that rose is great. Very different colour combo, but I really like it, very effective. Have a lovely day. Bx

Morning Sue, beautiful card, love the petticoat effect and love the flower too. Love Jean xxx
Hi Sue. I love your petticoat cards and this one is no exception, it is lovely. And it is in kraft card, which is one of my favourites.
Sending my daily hugs to you Sue, to Pam and Robbie-(Glad you are putting the foot up and NO crossing your legs/ankles either) To Sandra and Pat-see you later : ) and to all of my other special friends and to all in need/ Have a good weekend. Take care.
Hi Sue,
Yet Again Another Stunning Card, I Love These Cards That Have A Petticoat Effect, It Reminds Me Of The Truly Fabulous Card You Made For A New Video Not Been Shown As Yet, (one of the collection on You Tube) The Petticoat In That Is In Black, So It's Great To See Different Colour Card Being Used To Prove How Beautiful It Looks, What Ever Colour You Choose, And Also Which Way The Petticoat Goes.
I Love The Italian Border Die, (I'm sure any of your Border Die's would look just as amazing) I Love The Colours Of The Card You've Chosen The Red, Coconut White, Black, And The Fabulous Kraft Card.
I Love How You've Used The Kraft Card To Create Your Petticoat, And The Fabulous Sentiment From The Bold Collection From Creative Expression (The Sentiments they do are terrific so many to choose from) I Love The Classic Rose, And Those Beautiful Curved Vines And Adding The Black Jute Twine Really Sets Of The Card.
Sue Thank You For A Beautiful Card, Thank You For Sharing Your Fabulous Creations, Your Tips And Techniques. Thank You For This Tremendous Blog.
Sue On A Personal Note: Thank You For The Daily Inspiration I Really Appreciate It, Thank You For All You Do.

Good morning Sue
Beautiful card I love the petticoat look (although you did make me smile when I thought of all the make crafters in frilly petticoats) . Your new flourish dies are gorgeous and so useful.
'P' in a Wales I'm sending you an extra hug this morning for the loss of Guinness, also my other half had exactly the same happen to him and although it got sorted I agree it is very worrying.

Lovely card, I have used the petticoat effect before, but only about three layers, don't think I have your patience for all these layers!
Unusual colour combination but it's growing on me, love the flower and vine curls.
It's the Flower Show in Gairloch tomorrow and the garden has taken quite a battering after the rain and winds of last week , this week has been beautiful so I will need to see if much has survived to enter something in the floral art.
Hugs to all xo
Really pretty card today. Like Rosie, I forget about my border dies until you use them on a project like this.
Michele.
GM Sue - must give this technique a try - looks really effective. Love that rose and the jute bow looks just right - my/your daisy dies came yday - both sets - at first I thought the wrong dies had been put in the open petals set as they looked at the same as the complete petals at a quick glance - but then I saw the 2 cutting lines - so all is well - Happy Friday all

Hi Sue very opulent card rich in gold , you are amazing how you surprise us each day. My Joy die arrived yesterday and it is simply gorgeous Sue, thank you so much.x

Hi Sue
A lovely sunny day here and warm for a change.
A lovely card today Sue, the petticoat effect is very unusual, you are always so instrumental in making us think outside the box. Great video yesterday too.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Dawn Searle xxx
Great card Sue - I love the effect of the layered edges and will certainly try it. Have a good weekend.
morning Sue
What a wonderful way to end the working week.
I love kraft card and to see how you have used it on a girlie skirt it looks fantastic. Your vine dies are absolutely wonderful to work with; cut clean and come out of the die so easily.
Yes it does remind me of a skirt in my much younger years. I wonder what your Mum dressed you in?
June - sorry I missed your bday yesterday. Hope you had a great day being spoilt just as you should.
Sandra - Was it your bday yesterday? Hope you're OK.
P in Wales - so so sorry on your loss. I know how many tears are shed when this happens. Just take care.
Norah & my animal lover sisters- just a little note to make you smile - my eldest daughter spent all day yesterday helping to get a bull of over 1ton in weight untangled from fallen tree roots and out of a stream (he was up to the top of his back legs in mud) which he had slid 3ft down into while trying to get a drink. It was a job for the fire brigade. Non of the fire men would stand in front of him until he had been sedated. Christina is 5ft nothing and weighs just about the same stood in front of Macey and put the straps round him so that he could be lifted out. She then helped Paul the farmer to walk him round the fields until he got circulations going again and came round to be led to his barn for rest etc. She then went with Paul the farmer to catch a cow who had an abcess on the side of her face so she could have treatment while Paul the vet was still there.
You could say that she leads a varied and interesting life!!!!
Hope everyone is feeling somewhat better and looking forward to the week-end. Market day for me - last one before we leave-.
Take care and stay safe.
Janet x
It really is lacy Sue. I'll have to try this one. X
Ooh, what a frilly one! I know what you mean about a petticoat card, I don't think girls these days know about them do they? Only oldies like me.
Good morning Sue and everyone. You remind us yet again to look at our dies in different ways, I like the idea of this card but I'm not a huge fan of kraft card so I'm picturing it in other colours!
Happy Friday!!! Sue xxx
Morning Sue, I love it !! the petticoat effect always appeals to me, I love girlie, girlie cards haha !! The colours are beautiful too.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Great idea using border dies like this. It makes a beautiful card.
Beautiful lacy card which is very elegant. The red rose really makes it stand out from the crowd.
Love it!! Going to try it, too! Thanks, Sue... x
Good morning Sue,
This is such a clever way to use the border die to creat a beautiful effect. I tried it after seeing you create a card with this technique but I'm afraid my patience ran out after 4 cuts. I created a lovely card nonetheless. Maybe next time though I'll cut 1 or 2 each time I'm cutting other dies and store them to use later.
The black and red with the craft card is striking and a combo I will have to try.
Lots of love, Karen x
Good morning Sue this is a very pretty card. I love how you have used the border die you do make the most of your dies. Have a great day. Hugs Jackie

P in Wales, so sorry about your cat. I too had PayPal fraud in my account last week with 3 purchases for the same company that I had never heard of totalling $120. PayPal said it was not fraud but when I disputed receiving goods they refunded the money. Took an hour of stress. What is going on with them.

Hi Sue,
Another lovely card today and I can see why it's called a petticoat card. I think I should dedicate the sentiment on the card to all blog friends.
P in Wales, so sorry to hear about your poor cat, I know exactly how you feel. It is dreadful to lose your pet something that people who've never had pets don't really understand. My thoughts are with you. Janet, your daughter did a wonderful thing yesterday - I hate to see animals in distress. Pam, please take things easy as the physio says - you don't want to be back to square one do you?! Special hugs to you three people. Hugs also to Steph, Norah, Maureen, Lynne, Lindsay, Myra, Tres,Cameeli, Julie and everyone I've missed (sorry) . Love Alison xx
Good Morning Sue & lovely blog friends,
I love the petticoat style cards, they always look so pretty, you could use any colours, my favourite is white on white for this design! I so love the flower on this card, so pretty!
Janet (Ecco) yes it was my birthday yesterday, another year closer to 50, found a grey hair too, not the best birthday gift!
Your daughter is an angel, she clearly made such a difference to poor Macey's day yesterday, she must have been exhausted but still went looking for more work! Such a credit to you Janet, you have obviously bought them up to be kind, caring girls! Hope the sun is shining on you in France , hugs x
Cameeli, thanks for the beautiful card, I loved the butterflies, so kind of you! Xxx
Got my lovely ladies coming over later this morning, looking forward to seeing you Pat & Sue (Mrs B), although I have only been home one day after leaving the house under control of my eldest two children! So please don't look to close at the dust! Haha
Big hugs to you all, so good to be back xxx

Hi Sue
Such a stunning card today. I don't think I have seen this technique before. It's a lovely technique and I love the curly vines. My word Sue talking about children's clothes. I lived in a little place called Worminghall just outside Thame. Well at least a mile outside half a mile up a hill and half a mile down. In a camp that was set up for people who had been in the 2nd world war and had nowhere to live when they were demobbed. No shop, no nothing, just miles of farm land to play in. The nearest town was Thame and I didn't get to go there until it was about 9 to go to the pictures. I wore clothes obviously but who or where they came from I don't know. They just appeared. My dad's parents lived in Moreton before moving to Thame. We used to meet up with my dads family from London once a year at Thame fair. So if anyone remembers going to Thame fair who lived in London and was their surname was Lyons, please let me know. My gran and gramps died and we never saw them again. We used to top and tail in the bed, but boy did we have such fun. My word my flings ran away with me today.
Hugs to Pam and Robbie, Steph and Norah.
Special hugs to Mrs B and Sandra, see you both later.
Hi Sue,
What a great use of kraft card, I tend to use mine when I want natural or grungy look, but this looks so elegant.
Hi Sue,
Your petticoat effect is very effective, the colours are a great combination I wouldn't have thought about adding the black as well but it really makes it stand out. Your rose is so delicate looking, yet another stunning card Sue.
Can't wait to see what your new collections are, Julia dropped a few hints on telly yesterday that they are amazing!!!!!

Beautiful Card Sue!
I love how you've used the Italian Border Die to make the petticoat effect, it looks lovely. The use of the black card makes things pop and then the use of the black twine, it draws your eye to your pretty floral embellishment.
Hope you are keeping well. Have a wonderful weekend.

Morning Sue,
...and all you lovely Wilsonettes, sorry I've been missing only we've been to Belgium for 5 days with Auntie and Uncle(they are just a couple of years older than us) didn't stop laughing from the time we arrived to getting back home. We're quite mad when we get together!
Had a lovely surprise when a friend of mine text me to tell me I had won Sue's Peace die...I was thrilled to bits!
Sue todays card is gorgeous, love the idea of calling it a 'petticoat' card. Love the red flower against the kraft card.
Hugs to all those in need of them will catch up properly in the next couple of days....do hope your days get better.
Love Sheila xx
Hi Sue
I love this colour combination, it's really eye popping, going to watch that video.
Best Wishes

Good morning Sue,
I never had "pretty dresses" as was always climbing, trees, hay bales, walls, even the top of my cousins swing set, so i will take your word for frilly dresses. I todays card but i would change the Kraft for another colour. Thank you flower for all the different ideas that you come up with that expands our horizons.
Pam, we will have you back on your feet tripping the light fantastic but it takes time and after your nosedive. I hope that your ankle starts behaving itself soon, because it going in the huff and swelling milarky when it's not pleased because it has to do some work is just not on. ((hugs))
Alison, what a wonderful special woman your aunt is and what a strength of character she has. I would tell you that you are so very lucky to have her in your life but you already know this. Sending you both hugs flower.
"P" in Wales, so sorry that you have lost your beloved friend Guiness, i hope he is at peace now. I just changed all my passwords not that long ago because of hearing of a similar thing happening with Paypal. I am glad that they are taking action on it and refunding you as no one can afford to have money stolen like that. Why can't they work for their money instead of stealing what doesn't belong to them.
Wheely, a big Happy Birthday to your beloved Alex, i hope that he has a fantastic day and that you are feeling up to celebrating with him. I'm quite sure Billy will like cake as well just encase there is any mishaps transferring cake from bunker to mouth.
Janet, us tiny folk are made of sterner stuff obviously than a big hulk of a fireman. They might be all brawn, big and brave at fires, but boy what wooses they are at everyday animals unless of course it is a wee cat stuck up a tree. "Gid gear comes in sma packages" as they say up here in Scotland, good for Christina because she effectively showed up all those firemen in a oner.
Diane(with Chips), until you are stable and can manage the stairs flower you are better off where you are. I know it is a very long and boring day for you but your safety comes first. You will be out before you know it with practice Diane but sending you healing ((hugs)).
Barbara, i hope Ben had a lovely birthday yesterday being spoilt with new toys and biscuits. I make a very special birthday cake just Tia sized for her birthday with some crunchie biscuits and bonio in it for her. Her candles are those thin crunchie round things as i couldn't see her waiting around to blow out the candles somehow. Yes i can say that i have already been certified along time ago, but i get everyone less a cake so why not my 4 legged baby girl?
Sue your to blame for todays wander to past times with your petticoat comment. Years ago when i was about 13-14 the C.B radios(just like your truckers across in America have or had in their cabs) were all the rage with us being careful about when we used them where there was police going around and sending messages to others on the broadband(not the internet, wasn't invented then i don't think)where the police were. Well there was a club that we were all members off and we used to raised money for charities. We decided to have a charity football match with the fella's dressing as their (handle) name, so the Scotsman got my plaid mini skirt(a lady doesn't where a kilt only men, women wear a plaid skirt that for all intents and purposes is a kilt. Very confusing i know but anyway, this big burly heifer got my mini "kilt" which came to my knees, well i wont tell you where it came to on him, but there was more than knees on show, especially when he started running, a sight for sore eyes has nothing on this view. Oh things i got up to when i was young makes me smile that i could ever have been like that.
Sending hugs to Young Robbie, Sam and Baby Leo and all the wonderful Wilsonettes, have a wonderful day everyone,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (glenochil)
Good morning Sue, what a gorgeous card from you today. This is a great idea for using border dies. Beryl xx
Hi Sue, Love this idea will be making it. love Jean Z xxx
Wow, what a great idea, love the way you come up with corkers.xx
Hi Sue. Lovely card, lovely colours, kraft card does seem to go with anything doesn't it? SueL x
Good morning Sue, and all the ladies.
I have a photo of my brother Thomas (born 1931) wearing a dress like this when he was about 2. Boys, so I've been told, wore dresses until they were a bit older!!
This is a pretty card Sue, but if I'm honest a little too fussy for me.
Pam hope your swelling is abating and that Robbie is still progressing.
Norah - I used to enjoy Starsky and Hutch - don't go jumping on the bonnets of cars!!
P in Wales, sorry to read about your cat. Glad you got your paypal sorted out.
Sandra, a belated happy birthday and enjoy your day today with the "girls".
Alimecca Alison, I've offered prayers for your aunt.
Yorkielass June, as usual many thanks for your special hugs, I welcome them.
Now a dilemma - my great nephew has nominated me for the ice bucket challenge but I don't know if the heart will stand it. Think I'll have to check with doctor first but don't want to appear a wimp. His mother says I have to forget it, but I do like a jolly!!
Love to all that I've forgotten to mention and to you Sue xx
Morning Sue, love this petticoat effect, will have to try this one, maybe change the colour and use two colours and layer them.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care, Jess x
Just beautiful Sue ,im loving the colors

Good morning Sue, been a long time since you have done a petticoat card I had forgotten how effective they are. I think I am going to need some black jute twine it is surprising how such a small item has such an impact on your card. Have a good weekend, love from Jackie D
Love the petticoat look Sue but I would choose a different colour. Your rose is stunning, I must watch the video as that rose was the first thing I bought when you released your very first selection. Pat x
Hello Sue. This is such a lovely card. All that die cutting is worth it for such a great effect and the rose and the jute and stunning together. All in all a really great card to send to someone you care about. xx Maggie (better with a jute bow)
Hi Sue
Like this one as it is a bit different from a lot of the others with the main emphasis being the die - what a beautiful effect. Yet again another winner
Morning Sue. Not sure I like the colours but the concept is really nice. Can't please some folk's,lol. Have a great day. hugs. Jan. xx
Hi Julia, a lovely card. I have that die so will give it a go.
Hi Sue loving this petticoat card what a great effect. It's lovely cut in craft card well worth the effort cutting them out. Pinafore dresses with petticoats were fashionable in the 80s so I eventually had one probably just as they were going out of fashion!!! Have a great day Sue love Diane G xxx
P in Wales so sorry to hear of your day my thoughts are with you on the loss of Guiness and the pay pal fraud. Xxx
A great effect and a technique that can be used with other borders.
Good morning Sue - I am not sure about the colours of this card but that could be changed - I love the concept and your imagination holds no bounds.
'P' in Wales I feel for you as unless they have owned a pet no-one understands the upset losing a special friend causes you. I have a human friend who calls all her cats as they have come and gone by names of 'Real Ales' - hope you can remember Guiness with love and happy thoughts soon.
To everyone out there I hope you have a good day and a good weekend ahead. Keep well and remember this lovely blog family will always be there for you. Helen K xx
Beautiful, love the flower and leaves.

Hi Sue, a very girlie card with the petticoat effect, love the colour combo. Sorry to be brief today but my internet has got quite a few gremlins in and the connection can go at any time. 4th time of trying to leave a comment. lol lynne m & really pesky critters ( bringing in slugs, snails and HUGE spiders from the garden just to test my nerves)

This is such pretty card - I love it. Thank you for sharing and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Me again - funny you should talk about men in dresses - I was with my mother on Wednesday and she showed me a picture of my Dad when he was about 1/2 years old - A lovely smiley chubby boy in a beautiful frilly outfit!! Helen K x

Lovely card!!

Hi Sue, a lovely card. Very girly and pretty.
great card
A stunning creation today Sue, love the petticoat effect. x
Hi Sue,
I like the layout of this card but there's too much kraft card for me (I'm not a great lover of it unfortunately). I'd love to try it in a different colour though.

Hi Sue and dear Wilsonettes.
P in Wales, my heart cries out for you. This is wht I cant come to terms with my trauma as it happened in my arms! Ok cant carry on with that part, far too hard.
Im glad you got the finances sorted though !
Pam - ABOUT TIME lol... Keep it up (the good work with resting) and listening !
How odd that we were 'looking back' to the weird and wonderful dress sense (or lack of it) our parents had, and now our dear Sue joins in : ) hope your mom had better dress sense than some of our's did Sue, and that your brother didnt end up in a petticoat !
I dont think Ive seen you do a technique like this since I found you, the sentiment comes right back to you and my very special list of caring special friends that dont need listing.
Its a lovely card today Sue, and yes, I do use craftcard now too.
Its one of those completly annoying, frustrating day with my hands today, where things slip through the stubby sticky up finger that flaps in the wind lol, cant feel ANY ribbon im trying to tie, and flake and glitter glue is in conspiracy with everything I touch !!! Im going an awful lot of growling and tutting today ! Maybe I should walk away from my table before I wreck too much card or spill my tiny micro beads all over the carpet ! ..... But I CANT cuz me die has just turned up (thank you again Sue) and CE head office for getting it to me so quickly, hope all other ladies have started to receive their's (yes Sue wont let you down, I'll do just that - thanks to you) xx
Well, cant stare at my pointsettia for much longer without replacing my bib, so I'll send all my wonderful friends caring warm gentle cuddles and hope you have a restfull, painfree day.
Love you.

Hello Sue,
I love this petticoat card and the Rose is just so gorgeous, think I might try this one for our daughters birthday in September, I've got the time between now and then to cut out the eight strips ha ha! I can see this working in so many other colour ways, yes I love this card.
We are back at home today, as daughter is working from home, so I now have a few days to catch up on the blog and just do a few me things, but I do love being with the grandchildren, this week they wanted to bake, in fact daughter commented we could open a cake shop! Also managed to make cards for their mummy's birthday, The 8yr old made a lovely card using SW dies, she is so proud of it! Will take a photo if I have the chance I will show it to you at Ally Pally
Hope you are having a good day, love Brenda xxx
Pam, rest that foot PLEASE
June, belated birthday wishes did try to send them on the day but the Internet at our daughters home is just not good
Janet, your daughter sounds amazing and obviously throws herself into her work, and gets a lot of job satisfaction in return, you should be very proud of her, thank you for sharing her day with us LOL
Sandra, Happy birthday for yesterday and enjoy your friends visits today, we have missed you, hope you had a lovely holiday
P in Wales, sorry to hear you lost your beloved Guinness, you were with him right to the end and I'm sure he knew that. What a shock for you discovering that PayPal fraud, I know how you feel I had my purse stolen, it had cash in it for birthday presents also bankcards, the thief manage to use two of these cards taking in excess of £2000 (which we did in time manage to recover) Four days before this happened I had had a cardioversion (my second) and yes with all the shock and stress my heart reverted back to AF. which I now have to live with!
How these thief's can live with themselves I do not know!
A very lacy looking card, like the colours and the flower best.
Love the card, great way to get more uses from the border dies.
I am not sure if I like the background, it seems to have a bit too much to my
taste. Elegant design and the classic rose is fabulous...love it! Take care!
Hugs,
Eemeli
Hi Sue,
A very pretty card. Love that die. Thank you.
Much love,
Shirley T. xxxxxxxxxx
Afternoon Sue. Love kraft kard, the petticoat idea is great. Not something I wore due to being a bit of a tomboy, growing up on a farm there was no time for frilly bits! I'm much the same now though!
'P' in Wales, I'm so sorry for all that went on yesterday, and hope today is easier for you.
Pam keep that foot up!
Steph, take a deep breath, have a cuppa and then go back to your crafting.
Jackie, your daughter did a great job yesterday. You brought her up well.
Lynne hope your internet soon starts to behave unlike your gorgeous girls!
Alison, big hugs for you and June, Maureen, Cameeli, Norah, Karen, Julie and Lee, Wheely Bad, and all my other Wilsonette friend around the country, and world! Xx
Beautiful card Sue xx hazel
Lovely card Sue. Not colours I would have thought of using but they work so well.
This is gorgeous Sue. Got to admit that I really don't do multiple cuttings like that - 8 times! I wish I could be bothered as the result is lovely.
Hi Sue,
I too having trouble with Internet connection today! Tried sending earlier and it disappeared!
I really like today's card as it is so different but I confess I would choose another colour although I do use craft card sometimes. It's good for gingerbread men - also your tip!
Love the rose and the sentiment.
Been cutting lots of baubles yesterday . They cut beautifully. I cut lots in different colourways. Mostly white and silver, but also soft pink and plum and soft gold and black! Yes black! Look what you've made me do! Lol! Thanks Sue for all the inspiration and your hard work each day.
P in Wales - so sorry about your cat, Guinness . Very hard to lose a well loved companion . Thinking of you. I too had problems with PayPal fraud. Never use them now as don't trust the system . Sorry you had to deal with that too.
Pam - pleased you are resting a bit. It must be hard. Love to you and Robbie.
Sandra, Mrs B and Pat S - hope you all have a lovely time together.
Maureen - not sure about the challenge! Take care!
Anne - all the very best with the floral art. Hope you win a prize, preferably 1st! no pressure!
Kitchen just about finished - except for decorating and a radiator which was late in arriving. Now to deal with the dust - however - looking forward to getting straight and will try not to moan again!
Love to all,
Myra
I like this card it is beautiful but only you could make kraft card look so nice. lol
I also love the focal element and that is another thing I must try.
Such a pretty card here again today Sue. Beautiful made and put together.
Hi Sue, what a pretty card. I would never have thought that kraft card could look so delicate and agree with dawn that only you could magically turn kraft card into something so beautiful.
The red rose is divine and I'm so in love with the leaf die you've used. As always, thanks for sharing with us. x
You're more than welcome! xxx
Lovely card today Sue.
Craftihappiness to everyone, love from Pearl.
Beautiful card Sue. I do like Kraft card but tend to not use it too much due to lack of inspiration.
NORAH good on you for making Tia a birthday cake, it would probably surprise you how many of us send birthday cards to our pets and buy them presents. I am as mad as you!!!!!
LYNNE what little horrors I would die if Ben brought a creepy crawly into the house. he occasionally brings in baby slugs attached to his fur and that stresses me enough!!!
P in WALES sorry to hear about Guinness. My neighbour has just rescued a feral cat from the cats protection and it is so traumatised. It wasn't too bad when he brought it home but when he had visitors the next day it hid in the bathroom and only comes out to use the litter tray. He has a long road ahead to gain its trust.
Cutting all those borders must have made your arm ache! A labour of love, very effective, striking and girlie!

Very pretty. I love the petticoat look on this card, girlie indeed. Love the flower used on this card also.
Hi Sue and all you lovely ladies, I like the idea of this card but im sorry I am not a fan of Kraft card, reminds me of a cardboard box, would look pretty in white.. when I was a teenager my mum made all my pettycoats, all the other girls wanted them but mum only made for me and my sister. Yvonne xxx
Hi sue, lovely card and love the rose its one of my favorite's. Elaine x
Sue I can only reiterate what the other wilsonettes have said. Just a fabulous card, perfect inking, wonderful rose etc etc and of course brilliant construction with colour. Thank you so much sincerely Maureen
A gorgeous card, love the colours and dimension that you've created using the petticoat technique, I must have a go at it myself. Thanks for the great ideas and inspiration.x
I am not too sure about this card, it could grow on me xxx
Hi Sue
A very girlie card,beautiful.
A totally gorgeous card Sue, the effect is beautiful, hugs Carole Z X
A very full background to this one Sue, not sure if I have the patience to cut out so many layers. Anne x
Hi Sue, an interesting card today. I have this die and might give it a go but probably not in kraft card (although I do like it) I'm more likely to use a soft pastel.
Janet (ecco) - How brave of Christina to help the bull in that way. I know they are not always as dangerous as they are made out to be, but the size of it!
'P' in Wales - I am so very sorry for your loss, I am sure Guinness will be very much missed. As responsible owners, holding them while they slip away is so hard but is ultimately the kindest thing we can do for them.
I am glad you sorted out the PayPal fraud - scary!! I have twice had credit card fraud and was on tenterhooks each time until it was sorted out.
My Pine Bough die came today so I am hoping to have a play at yesterday's card. Don't think mine will look as good as Sue's though.
Hope Sue and all the Wilsonettes have a lovely week-end.
Frances
beautiful card Sue. the colours work so well together! luckily my mum never put me in frilly dresses. phew!
i would have looked like a nice meringue ....... or not lol! xx
Very pretty and in Kraft card Wouldn't have thought of that! Don't have that particular border but definitely give it a try Late today because I visited The Tower to see the poppy tribute Stunning and very moving

Hi Sue, Lovely card and would never have thought of using the Italian border in this way. Great idea. Must try it with my other border too. Hugs Pauline A xx
Hi Sue. Love the petticoat effect but I must admit I am not a fan of Kraft card. Would like to make this card in lilacs or pinks though. The rose and leaves are lovely too. Thanks for the inspiration. x
Hi Sue,
I love the lace petticoat effect.
The colour combination is unusual but works really well.

Hi Sue and lovely blog friends
Today's card is beautiful, I love craft card. The flower is so pretty.
Pam, Wrong not seeing you at the top, but glad you are resting, even if it is only 15 minutes, but everyone counts. Big hugs & for Robbie XX
Alison, so sorry to hear the news about your aunty. Hugs to you both XX
P in Wales, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of Guinness, my heart goes out to you. I have just taken on 2 semi feral kitties, and they have become Klingons. I can't even go to the bathroom without them weaving in between my feet. We took on a stray feral when we moved nearly 16 yrs ago, and she became the most friendly & soppy cat that everyone loved. I send you lots of hugs and thinking of you. What a complete and utter bummer of a day you have had.
Norah, I did read your messages a couple of days ago, That was awful for you, but like everyone has said, don't let this episode stop you from going out again.I know how debilitating panic attacks can be. I suffered with them, and did'nt leave the house on my own for months. We eventually moved away from the problem and things gradually got back to normal, but I still have the odd time when I find it difficult, but we can all get there and not put our lives on hold. BIG BIG hugs XX
Also big hugs to Steph, Margaret,Yorkielass,Lynda Brock, & anyone else I have forgotten, sorry did'nt mean too
Great looking card...
I like the petticoat technique.

hi sue, i love this card, a petticoat card wow, the colour is lovely so this is called kraft card, why, or am i missing something, i would never use this colour because i thought it looked 'mucky' lol but put together like you have done its gorgeous and with the white, red and black, wow, again, i must track down your demo how to make the rose, love to all J
Now I do like this card!! I have top very similar in design (not colour - my top is cream)and I think this card would be fun to make. It'd also make a good Christmas card using a poinsettia instead of a rose wouldn't it?

Must have a go.
