Best Wishes

Hello my crafty friends!  I think today will be a big bow day as I haven't had a proper one in awhile! LOL  A couple of little ones, but this is the first large bow in about two weeks!  I started this card by cutting the Vienna die and the inner die from the Salzburg in the background (without the outer cutting edge).  I cut a piece of black card slightly larger and lined the edges with sticky adhesive tape.  I covered it with Midnight Snow.  Next I used a piece of sticky adhesive sheet and applied it to the back of the cut out area (so the sticky was towards the front.)  I covered this with Midnight Snow as well.  I wrapped a piece of silky crush ribbon around the bottom and taped the ends to the back. (Before anyone asks though, this colour was a sample that I received from the manufacturer, but they never put it into production.  It was a perfect match for our card, too bad!)   I peeled the other side of the backing paper off then centred my background on it (with a bit more tape at the bottom to hold it securely).  I matted the piece with mauve card and used a smaller piece to cut the tag from the  French Collection Auvergne die set.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the California Collection Decorative Frames Set B.  I layered up the two pieces and added them to the middle of my card with mounting foam.  I tied a double bow and added it with glue dots, making some matching stick pins and finishing the bow with a crystal Sparkler.  I finished the card with a pierced mat layer of white then thin black and mauve mats before adding a final white layer to complete the card.  Big bow withdrawal has now been averted! LOL  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" in size.

I will be doing the drawing for the Christmas die winners and posting it later today so don't forget to check back this afternoon to see if your name is on the list!  All for now, Sue x

Hazel, you poor thing, adult measles is much worse, you must be in agony. Alison, big hugs for you and your Aunt, hope news is good at hospital for her.
Lindsay, so glad your daughter and her horse are safe, having a daughter and grandchildren with horses I understand your concern.
Steph, hope market went well and that you enjoyed the wedding photos, bring back memories of that special day. Hope the young couple have a wonderful honeymoon.
Dianeandchips that must have been some break for that hospital stay then care home. I had day surgery and I have a care team that comes twice a day to make meals but my daughters have helped so much and the twins aged 10 have been amazing.

Morning Sue, Pam and all Wilsonettes, I do hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday weekend. Sue this is such a gorgeous card and of course I absolutely LOVE the big bow, I also adore the stick pins, I make a lot of my cards with stick pins on them but cannot get the long thin pins or the tiny spacers you use, I would love to know where to purchase them from. I want to thank you Sue for the advise about the pokey tool, I have just used it for a commissioned card I am making and it is the first time I can honestly say that I am pleased with the effect, I do prick the holes first before I decide whether to leave holes as they are or use them as a guide for my pearls. Anyway everyone stay safe, healthy and happy. hugs to you all. June Smith xxx

June smith, try Joanna Sheens website, she has the 6 inch pins, cold and nickel. I use them a lot as you can get a good range of beads on them. The tiny spacers I found on EBay xx

Another lovely card today and the big bow is delicious. What a pity they did not put that colour into production, it is so pretty. Been a long night tonight, my labrador Jack had a fit (I think) at about three a.m. and I am now getting ready to go to the vet. I couldn't get hold of the night vet and Jack seems Ok now but very subdued. Fingers crossed!

Hi Sue
Lovely card again, love dies that give you choice to cut or leave in card and love the bow I try to make them but with my dodgy thumbs don't always look good so usually use a die cut one or use a bought one.
Did not get any crafting done over the weekend so will be getting card done today as it is her birthday on Wednesday cannot believe she will be 31 where did those years go and now she is a Mum of 2.
Gentle hugs to baby Leo hope your doing well and mummy is getting lots of cuddles, love and hugs to all the Wilsonettes and hope you have a lovely day.
Goodluck everyone for the draw
Happy crafting

Morning Sue & friends, A lovely card today, love the colours and the mixture of dies with the midnight snow and the big bow is gorgeous . Not a nice Bank Holiday Monday at all! Off to Grange Over Sanda this morning and then on to Cartmel for the racing, looks as though we are going to need an umbrella though. Managed to get into my craft room late yesterday, I was suffering withdrawal symptoms, we have been decorating for about three weeks and are almost finished now, just waiting for carpet to be laid and Suite to be delivered (Wednesday). But played around with some of my new Christmas dies they are absolutely gorgeous. Have a great day everyone. Linda.

Hi Sue, I love this card with its humungous( hope thats spelt right) bow. The midnight snow adds that extra bit of bling. Just gorgeous lol lynne m x x x

Haven't commented for a few days as holed up in craft room busy with card making and also blasted internet down.

Cully has decided that rabbits are no longer fun to chase so she now has her eyes on bigger toys!!!!! We spent ages on Friday getting the little madam to leave off chasing after a large group of deer we came across in the forest. Tilly whined constantly but refused to join in the chase, I think it was too much effort for Tilly she was content to let her sister do all the work. After that excitement they were more than happy to come home and crash out for a while. Nothing keeps my divas down for long so before you could blink they were in my craftroom with their noses into everything. A few diecuts went missing, hunted high and low for them convinced that I had put them on the small table next to my work desk. Well gremlins!!! ( sure it was Tilly) had moved them to the lawn in the back garden all chewed up. Typical I couldn't find another piece of the same coloured card so had to change the colour scheme of the whole card. I swear I heard Tilly chuckling, little diva that she is. Well its tipping down here so for the first time in awhile no trip to the forest. Hubby will take poochies out for walk as soon as it stops cuz as the pampered princesses they are they do not do rain!!!

Lindsay - so pleased your daughter and horse are ok lol to you
Alison - hope your Aunt is ok soon.

To all my wonderful friends here on this special blog hope today is good no matter what the weather is like

Lol and cuddles lynne & mighty menaces x x x x

A lovely card today with a gorgeous big bow. Shame about the ribbon not being made as the colour is lovely.
Had a very busy day yesterday on my feet a lot as I had visitors for lunch and I did a lot of cooking, so as the weather is grey and miserable I am going to relax and get into my craft room today.
I will be checking back later, so good luck to everyone.
I hope everyone has a great Bank Holiday however you spend it.

morning Sue
from a very dull/grey and decidedly cold morning here.
What a gift to start the working week! BIG BOWS to the front! I really love the format and colours for today's gift and there's just enough black showing for me. It's annoying isn't it when you find an article in a particular colour that you really like only to be told when you go back to purchase more that 'oh it was only a sample and they decided against it'.

Sandra - hope you arrived home safe and sound and not too fatigued. I know you have medical apptments this week so take care.

Steph - hope everything went well yesterday at market and that you didn't shed loads of tears all over the wedding photos.

Well we managed to get to the last vide grenier of the season in a local village. It had a good turn out in stalls and yes we were the last of the big spenders again. Mr E bought a small wooden box with glass fronted door. When I ask what it was for I was told well it's always good to have a small box for 'just in case' and it was only £2.50!
When he comes out with his 'just in case' quote it always takes me back to when I first started working in a school - one of the students was called Justin Casey and over the 25 years I have know Lord Yeardley; Roy Rodgers and Elizabeth Taylor.

Today is the start of our last week here for the summer so it will be all hands on deck. The summer cover is to be taken off the bed today and the duvet put back on as the nights are getting cold now. It will be a daily question of have you booked the ferry and hotel overnight stop? and of course the usual 'where do we get all this from to take back! ?

Hope everyone is feeling a little better and enjoying the last of the Bank Holiday. Take care everyone and see you tomorrow.
Janet x

Good morning Sue

Don't ever apologise for what you put on YOUR blog. Because that is what it is, yours! Your creation, your ideas and you do it day in and day out without complaint and there are not many bloggers and designers that do that!

Your cards are always full of unspiration and given with love to your fellow crafters to inspire creativity.

Today's beautiful card is no exception. The bow is lovely such a pretty colour but I love the pink that the manufacturer did produce in the end.

I also love how you have created today's card using the adhesive sheet and the covering you gave it. Very lovely indeed enjoy your day Sue whatever you do.

Hi Sue. Happy Monday lovely ladies.
Mariane, do hope Jack is ok now (id ask for the contact number for out of hour's vet just in case you ever need it)
Janet... Oh how I LOATH the statement "just incase" I have a loft FULL of Mr L's just incase - 35yr's full of "just incase" with our move from Bham I was pleading, begging, to downsize the "just incase"..... I lost !
I almost had a panic attack thanks to your 'diva's' Lynn - read the sentance wrong, thought you meant a die had been found and chewed in the garden, phew, thank goodness it was a peice of die cut card (I know it was your last peice that colour, but heyho at least it stopped me panicing) LOL sorry xx
Made enough to cover the price of the table thanks to my real friends that asked, but I'll never be rich in new dies lets put it like that ! But Im rich in Particraft friends, that's all that matters.
Sue... Our BH gift is stunning, the use of dies show's their beauty tenfold (poor Maggie, I can hear the poor love hyperventilating from here) you have a lot to answer to Mrs W LOL, keep calm Maggie.
I must invest in some black snow its so pretty, I need your favourite to I think, well I can get into the craft room without guilt today to remake those that sold yesterday, as the weather is nasty mcfasty and too cold for me to leave the bungalow, so its craft craft craft BH Monday : )
Im so sorry that rushing around yesterday - HA rush, not since the 90's so thats a joke, but I forgot to congratulate the 3 winners, Im so sorry, enjoy your gift ladies. Will be keeping my fingers crossed that my lovely friends are named later today and win a beautiful new C die from our wonderful friend's new collection. Good Luck.
To those that are recovering, feeling blue or hurt so bad this morning, I send my love and caring gentle hugs, if I could take it for just one day I would.
Love you.

Good morning Sue and the wonderful Wilsonettes,
Sue, as if we would ask about anything that wasn't on the market yet( can you see the wee halo above my head). What a lovely card today and you are right about the ribbon but i think i might have the solution(literally) for that. Some Isopropyl Alcohol and a know the refill inks that you get for the alcohol pens, well mix a few drops of that with the long word into a wee squirty bottle and you can make whatever shade of the colour you like, squirt it onto white ribbon changing it to the colour(dry it off with your heat gun in between until you get your colour)and you can get 500ml bottles not to badly priced. It might help you with other colours of card that you have and want the ribbon to match. Right that's the brain went back to sleep again, as it gets tired when it has to do some work.
Now Hazel, you can do children things without having to want their illnesses as well you know.LOL. Sorry that you are down with measels as it can be so itchy and sore. Try not to itch them if you can, i know that it is difficult. I try putting socks on your hands to at least cut down the damage you do.
Oh Lindsay flower, your poor daughter, i do hope she is alright and the horse is none too bad for it's part either. I know that falling off a horse is something that happens, but it's a long way down from up there when sitting on it. Can i send her gentle hugs as i don't want to inflict more damage than she has already.
Steph, i had hoped that you did well yesterday and are not too badly drained for today. Have a rest today or not especially if it is good crafting weather and recover from yesterdays marathon with a ((hug)).
Marion, I have a chocolate lab Tia, and she has been taking these fits for the past few years. Our vet told us unless she was taking a few a week then it was best to leave her alone without medication. Sometimes it takes her 20-30 mins before she comes back to us as she can't walk, prone on the floor, and it's as if she can't hear us. She also discharges whatever she needs to from her back end. I get a wet cloth and wash down her face trying to keep her cool because i just don't know what else to do to help her. We have noticed that it happens more when it is warm days and she decides to sunbathe. I keep telling her that her tan will not get any better than what it is, but she stills like to be out and trying for that tan. I think she is too much influenced by our daughter Kirsten who loves the sun. Let me know what the vet says please as it would be interesting to see if anything can be done to help.
Hey Lynne,my brother Jim when we started our first primary at 4 1/2 he picked the biggest lad in the school and thumped him. Now to let you understand Jim was always a head and shoulders shorter than me and because he was more Tiny Jim than anything else he was fed up being laughed at because of his height, so when we started school he decided to let the whole school know not to take the mickey out of him by thumping the biggest he reckoned that the rest would stay clear and they did. So Cully just thinks the bigger they are the harder they will fall. Jim only became taller than me when we turned 20 and the Friday before his last day on earth he became 5'4". It was strange my big brother (cos he was the oldest by 46mins) being actually bigger than me after all those years.
end of part 1

Part 2
Welcome home Sandra, i hope that you had a lovely holiday with the girls and hubby and feel at least a wee bit better and more revived by your break away.
Well going to meet my friend Di in at Stirling and after the day i had yesterday it will be very therapeutic as it is a wonder my DD is still breathing, little madam that she is and her father is just as bad because he doesn't see why she should have to do anything in the house because she works fulltime. 3 days 12 1/2hr shifts, but i forgot when i worked 4 on 4 off of 13hr shifts and still kept a home, had meals organized, washing done and ironed and put away that that is different. I don't work so i should be doing everything, completely ignoring the fact that i don't work because i can't and through him, the doctor and works Occ Health they managed to get me retired off as useless. OOOOOh sometimes i could scream, but it just makes me so much more tired.
See you tomorrow everyone with hugs to all the Wilsonettes, baby Leo and Robbie,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Costa de Glenochil) because it is so lovely today here with the hills showing off every cervice of beauty.

I just love it when dies are used without the outer edge, Loooooove that ribbon what a gorgeous colour.
Its pouring down here today, Emma had a diversion going to Heathrow as they have closed a part of the M4 ready for the NATO summit. Wales is looking like a metal jungle, 15 miles of the most horrific metal fencing you could find all down the side of 1 of the motorways, the same fencing is going up around Cardiff Castle our poor tourists will think Wales is awful. Talk about over the top.We don't do that for the Queen. Well anyway hopefully Emma is tucked up in bed now having a good sleep.
I was devastated to discover that Michaels don't sell Sue's dies as I had given Emma my list. She did say she would see if she could find a craft shop with sues dies in,but hopefully I'll win a little something today everything is crossed. Good luck to everyone .
I wish we could all win.Steph hope you had a massive sell out yesterday, and I hope your daughter and hubby have a great honeymoon. Hugs to all those in pain,or who are suffering sadness or just feeling a little down, I'd take some from you if I could. Love Theresa xx

Hi Sue,
I've made it today been missing in action!
Beautiful card and a beautiful big bow to finish it all off.
I love the colours and the way you have used the dies.
I loved yesterday's buckle card too! I will definitely try that one.
Hoping to be able to craft later today as I can't do much else! Kitchen work began in earnest at 8 am! By 9 30am entire kitchen and tiles all ripped out! Will just have to go with the flow - but my husband is stressed already! He does not like a mess.
Have not been able to read all the posts but will try later.
Always read Pam's as she is first! So pleased Pam about Robbie's good news. Hope the physio is going well for you too.
Steph - you weren't feeling so well last week but I'm glad you were able to go your Craft Fair and sell your lovely cards. Hope you enjoyed seeing wedding photos and that your daughter and hubby have a lovely honeymoon. Take care.
Sandra - welcome home - hope you've had a lovely holiday. We've missed you!
Norah - have a lovely time with your friend. I'm not ill - not even unwell and for that I should be thankful - but I am a bit stressed today and you always cheer me up and help put things in perspective. You are a special lady! In all the hubbub this morning my husband's slippers went missing - well you would have thought they were the crown jewels! Such a manhunt! Found in garage - no idea how they got there. Lol!
Julie Laz and Lee - Happy Anniversary! Lee what a tribute! Have a lovely day.
Everyone else - hope you have a good day.
Diane and chips - ouch ! You take care - hope you get home soon.
Janet - glad you didn't overspend yesterday! We've all enjoyed your time in France with you. We even had the pastries - ours were slimming ones! Lol
Love Myra
Ps. Lindsay pleased daughter and horse are ok!

Hi Sue.
Sorry I have not posted for a couple of days. Since our Canadian family has gone back to Canada I have been a bit down. It was amazing, they are such wonderful people and have been so accepting of us even though two of my Aunts and one Uncle never knew we even existed until about four years ago. It has been hard for them as their father ( my Grandad ) never told them that they had a brother and a sister in England. I miss them all so very much and there are many relatives still in Canada that I have not even met yet. x x x

Well I have, of course, still been checking in to your blog every day Sue. Today's card is gorgeous. I love how you have mixed and matched three of your different shaped die sets together. They all work perfectly together, really beautiful. I love the colours you have used to. Your great big bow is fab and just like you Sue, I have missed them !! It is such a shame that the pink / lilac shade of ribbon is not available to buy. It goes so well with that shade of card. I love your stick pins to. Thanks for sharing this card, it is beautiful.
I loved yesterday's buckle card. Very Classy and Elegant. Your Tapestry background embossing folder is one of my favourites and I use your Californian Dies all the time. They are such a lovely shape. I think buckle cards are great cards to make for the men in our lives.
I will check back later to see the results of the drawing for the dies. Wishing everyone lots of luck for that !! Thank you for everything you do for us Sue. Sending you lots of love and hugs today love Tres x x x

Congratulations to all of yesterday's winners.

Julie Laz, Sending Congratulations to you and Lee on your Wedding Anniversary. Lots of love from Tres x x x

Helloooo Sue and the Wilsonettes! Oh wow! This is gorgeous Sue! I love the beautiful dies....which I have....whoo hoo! That bow is gorgeous! I'll have to do some trial and errors til I get it right as the old fingers have a completely different idea to my hands! Lol! I love the stick pins and also the "shadow" technique. I'll give that a go too.....me thinks I'm going to be a bit busy! It's just truly stunning Sue and a bit of a shame that they didn't bring that colour into production. They would be going from strength to strength now with our Wilsonettes at the ready! "Thank you Sue" for this stunning card. Sending love and hugs to you and your family xx Sending love and hugs too to our Wilsonettes who need one today xx Take care everyone and "Good luck" to you all! xx Love Karen xx

Hello Sue,
Having Internet problems today either that or it's my clumsy fingers. Last quite long message I posted has disappeared into cyberspace that was about an hour ago, Okay let's try again.............. Really gorgeous card today, as T0B said, I to love it when you use your dies without the outer edge, but it's also lovely that we have choices, which gives us brilliant value from our dies. The ribbon and bow are lovely.
I have coloured white ribbon with my pro markers to match the colour of a card and been very pleased with the results.
Wishing everyone good luck in the Christmas die draw.
Hope you Sue and everyone are having a good Bank holiday Monday, love Brenda xxx

Mary B, Hope all goes well with your scan on Tuesday and you can get relief from that pain, thinking of you.

Norah, Is it today Rory starts college? hope all goes well for him.

Steph, Hope you're not too exhausted after the market yesterday, also that you enjoyed looking at the wedding photographs and reliving that wonderful day.

Sandra, Missed you, hope you all had a wonderful holiday and have returned home feeling refreshed.

Julie and Lee, CONGRATULATIONS wishing you a very very happy anniversary.

Pam tried Joanna Sheen but out of stock, is there anyway of finding out what size the spacers are that Sue uses for her pins, it is not easy to guess, could they be 2mm 3mm 4mm, I am not worried about the hole in the middle because I can use a bead reamer to make them bigger. Thanks for your help Pam- June Smith xx

Hi Sue

Lovely card, I love the great big bow and agree that this colour should have been released. I'm afraid I am a 'buy it in white and colour it' as I brought lots of ribbon in the early days and ended up using my alcohol pens to make it match my projects anyway! I love the die cut in the card and looking forward to doing this asap. I will be getting some stick pins to as jewellery pins aren't all that big!

Lindsay, I'm glad your daughter and the horse are ok, you must've been so worried x

Get well soon Hazel, healing hugs xxx

Mary Blight, will be thinking of you tomorrow, hugs and good luck xxx

Julie Laz and hubby, a very happy anniversary and hugs to both of you x

Marion B, I hope the vet can be of help. Must of been a horrible experience for you and Jack, hugs to you both x

Steph, glad you covered your expenses and congratulations on winning a new set of dies, enjoy!

Congratulations to all the winners- enjoy!!!

I have been resting and although it took a good 4 hours to un-stiffen after getting out of bed today I now feel better than I have done for a few days. Back in the manual chair yesterday evening as I thought I'd given the left hand a good enough rest. It doesn't hurt to push while wearing the brace which is really great. Mr W has been letting me rest and Alex is here tomorrow so I will have another day with someone here during the day. Hopefully then I'd have had enough of a rest and will manage while Mr W is at work the rest of the week. Roof nearly done so Billy will be happier too!

That's me for today, sending special hugs to Sue, Pam and Robbie, baby Leo and his family, Lynda, Alison, Lindsay, Theresa, Julie, Myra, Maria,Norah, Yorkielass June, Janet Ecco and anyone I forgot. Healing and soothing hugs to those in any sort of pain , ill or healing and big crafty hugs to Wilsonettes everywhere. You all make my life a happier, more fulfilled place.

Happy crafting
