Best Wishes

Hello crafters!  Today's card is by request from Maggie M!  She emailed me to ask if I would post the card that I did as my first demo during my die show in April.  Well, it took my about two days to remember which cards I had demonstrated at all, much less first! LOL  What a memory, not!  I'm chalking it up to my senior status!  I finally figured it out so here it is.  I started by embossing the design of the Tuscany die from the Italian Collection into coconut white card.  Using Spun Sugar distress ink and Shabby Shutters distress ink, in a very general way I lightly applied ink where the flowers and leaves were on the design.  I aligned the die back into place and taped one side to form a hinge, then placed a piece of sticky self adhesive sheet over the die area and closed the hinged die back into place and cut the die.  This did take several passes through the machine to cut through both the card and the adhesive sheet since this die is very detailed.  Once cut, I was able to align the outer circular die to cut the design completely out.  I peeled the backing paper off and covered it with micro beads for texture.  I cut another solid circle to back it with out of coconut white card and glued the two piece together.  For the background I used the Heart Lattice striplet without the outer cutting edge and cut three in a row.  I seated the beaded focal element in the centre.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Decorative Frames from the Italian collection.  I inked the piece with Spun Sugar before removing it from the die.  I mounted it on foam for dimension in the centre of the card.  Using the 3D Lattice bow, I cut both bows for a double bow and used the downward pointing tails on it.  I added it to my card below my focal element.  I finished the card with a double white mat with a pierced edge and small flatback pearls around the Tuscany die cut.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. Another gorgeous card today:) I love the gentle colours under the micro beads, just beautiful.
Does anyone else smile and gasp when you see Sue's offering of the day? My hubby has noticed that I do that each morning. What a great way to start the day, Thank you Sue : ) I hope the weather is better over the pond and you are having a good time.
Sending my hug to Pam, and one for all in need.
Good luck Camelli. Will be thinking of you later. It is nerve racking waiting for the feedback and scanning the report to see which rating. As I said earlier in the week I'm sure it will be outstanding : )
Gail, thinking of you and your family.
Norah, I hope you are feeling brighter today, let the sun work it's magic and enjoy your hills : ) If you don't fight to get the best for your children who else would? That's what being a parent is about, it doesn't make you awkward. I would do the same if needed. And as you say your lad is coming on in leaps and bounds. Well done You : )
Have a great weekend everyone.
Take care.

I will try and make my own little creation using the other Striplet die which I have, although I don't think it will be as effective as the one you have used.
Weather gorgeous here in West Sussex and the last two days have been taken advantage of some help to sort out the garden whilst the sun shines. The result is that I am full of pain today so will be taking things easy.
I have finally finished all the cards for my six relatives/friends who have Birthdays this month and am feeling pleased with myself!

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
What a beautiful card yet again Sue, the white on white with the hint of colour to just give that wee bit of pop. The green and pink are so soft in shade that it adds to the card and not take away from it. Another beauty for any number of occasions and people. Thank you Sue, for propping up our crafty arsnel of cards with another very different card. I like Cameeli's word of Fairy Craftmother, i think this quite suits you some how.
Cameeli, you don't need any wishes of good luck as if your school is anything like your crafting abilities, you will have sailed through on determination and interlect, positivity and sheer hard work. Any young person worth their salt will come away with a rounder education to fit with society and work. Enjoy your weekend of rest and relaxation doing your garden and allotment.
We are all routing for you Pat L. at Chelsea and wishing you good luck as i know that getting one of the coveted prizes can bring untold greatness to the exhibitor, so we have everything we can cross for you crossed.
Sorry to hear that your daughter isn't well and has to go to the hospital Joanna, i hope that can help her soon and get her back on her feet again. Our other young men that landed in are hopefully feeling the benefits of recovery after their bad fall and or blackouts. We are still here cheering them on back to fitness and health. Although Gary, i don't envy his recovery from the smashed shoulder and hairline fracture of his other one and the rest of his injuries, hope he is getting stronger each day. Good luck to Pauline A that is going into hospital for an eye op.
Denise, one of Sue's new followers, welcome you have joined the very best of blogs and have in turn gained a whole new family that care about you. You will find that through the good and bad times we have some of the most loveliest of friends that lend a wee helping hug and ear. You have become a Wilsonette just by becoming one of Sue's followers.
Sam, i've been called a lot of things in the past but none of them as nice as you have. It was
no trouble at all flower, and i am glad you were able to get your longed for Tied Together folder. Have fun when it comes.
I can see this is going to be a noisy day as hubby off his work today as we are getting a new front door and side panel, so he is hammering and banging away at the old one to get it out. As he is putting the door in his self, or rather we are putting it in i am going to be rather knackered today by the end of it, by holding this and that and trying to keep things up at the right angle while he gets it secured. Am i looking forward to my labouring role....am i heck as like. It seems to elude his brain that i have a broken back and that it goes out no problem as a norm without the help of lifting doors and windows into place. Never mind, i hope to see you all tomorrow when hopefully we will have some sun as well. At the moment my hills have a mist over them that is diffusing the hills nooks and crannies. That's the wonderful thing about living here, they never look the same and always bring different facets to the looks of them. I hope that where ever you are, the sun is shining and if not outside that it is in your heart. Gentle hugs to our more fragile of friends here and i hope to see you tomorrow,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Wow, I absolutely love it. Stunning, fresh, detailed and beautiful.
My Daughter has been off school all week poorly. Ended up at peads yesterday but it's been put down to viral infection so I have my hands full as she usually helps me so we have struggled this week. Hope to be back to as normal as possible next week.
It doesn't seem five minutes since I said this last but have a great weekend one and all.

Hi Sue,
Love the subtle white on white, with just those gentle hints of colour on the floral details, so feminine and elegant. The striplet makes a fabulous background when used like that, it's giving me lots of ideas. I tend to use my dies as the focal elements and rely more on the embossing folders for my backgrounds, so I'm not really getting full value out of them, am I? Well, lesson learned.

Hi Sue, a delightful card and the touch of colour is just right. I have end-of-the-week brain and don't quite understand the significance of the hinge. Must go back to the recorded shows and see if I can make sense of it.

Cameeli - so glad you got an outstanding report. I think we had more faith in you than you had in yourself :-)

A lovely sunny day here today but very windy, I hope it doesn't blow Norah's new door down before her OH can get the screws in.

Fingers crossed for the good weather that they are promising us this week-end as I need to get my veggies planted.
