Hello crafters! Today's card is by request from Maggie M! She emailed me to ask if I would post the card that I did as my first demo during my die show in April. Well, it took my about two days to remember which cards I had demonstrated at all, much less first! LOL What a memory, not! I'm chalking it up to my senior status! I finally figured it out so here it is. I started by embossing the design of the Tuscany die from the Italian Collection into coconut white card. Using Spun Sugar distress ink and Shabby Shutters distress ink, in a very general way I lightly applied ink where the flowers and leaves were on the design. I aligned the die back into place and taped one side to form a hinge, then placed a piece of sticky self adhesive sheet over the die area and closed the hinged die back into place and cut the die. This did take several passes through the machine to cut through both the card and the adhesive sheet since this die is very detailed. Once cut, I was able to align the outer circular die to cut the design completely out. I peeled the backing paper off and covered it with micro beads for texture. I cut another solid circle to back it with out of coconut white card and glued the two piece together. For the background I used the Heart Lattice striplet without the outer cutting edge and cut three in a row. I seated the beaded focal element in the centre. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Decorative Frames from the Italian collection. I inked the piece with Spun Sugar before removing it from the die. I mounted it on foam for dimension in the centre of the card. Using the 3D Lattice bow, I cut both bows for a double bow and used the downward pointing tails on it. I added it to my card below my focal element. I finished the card with a double white mat with a pierced edge and small flatback pearls around the Tuscany die cut. Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card as always. I enjoy your cards. I make A2 or 5x7 cards. You make the larger size so now (when my dies arrive) I will try the larger size.
