Hello crafters! It's a clean and simple sort of post for today. I was having a play with the Pixie Powders for this one (as you do! LOL) I chose Straw Yellow, Bronze, Rich Gold and Lava Red for some autumnal kind of colours. I took loads of pictures too so you can really see the shimmer from these colours. I loved the way it turned out and decided to show off a lot of the background for this one. I used the largest leaf in the Autumn Leaf Trio set and cut out the aperture of the leaf three times diagonally across the card. I added mounting foam to the back of the background. I selected a piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the Butterfly Dreams embossing folder and attached the background over the top of it. I cut the Get Well from the Feel Better Soon die set and attached it to the lower corner of the card. Simple white on white mats and layers were added to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway
Hello crafters! Its Stain Glass time again and this one is a giveaway card too. I started by cutting the Poinsettia Stained Glass die out of black card. I backed it with a piece of white card that had a sticky adhesive piece attached to it. I covered a piece of Ruby red card (large enough for two stained glass dies)with Red Glitter kiss and allowed it to dry. Once dry, I cut the Poinsettia die out of again and used the flower petal fall away pieces and paper pieced them into the original. Once in place, I covered the remaining sticky adhesive sheet behind it with Sparkle Star glitter. I cut the Poinsettia SG die once more out of the remaining red Glitter kiss piece and again used only the flower petals, but this time, I added a small amount of glue to the inside corner of each petal and attached it over the ones that I just paper pieced into place. I shaped the petals upwards a bit for dimension. I used the inside cutting die from the Twinkle Star Frame to make a white frame for it and added mounting foam to raise it for dimension. I cut a larger piece of ruby red card and embossed it with the Wild Poinsettia embossing folder. I used the sponge applicator from the Red Glitter kiss to add a rim of red glitter all the ways around the edge of the embossed card. I seated the stained glass topper in the centre, then completed the card with white, red and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/4" in size. Leave a comment to be entered into the drawing to win this card. The winner's name will be announced on Saturday's blog post. All for now, Sue x

You Are So Special
Hi crafters! I selected a piece of coconut white card and cut the inside die from the Gemma die set continuously across to the background. I backed it with Sky Blue card, then dded a Navy Blue mat behind it. I cut the Gemma die in both white and Navy blue to use as the focal element. I offset the blue behind the white one as a shadow. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the centre rectangle, inked the edges lightly with Tumbled Glass and mounted it in the centre. I made three flowers using the Striped Nasturtiums and added stamens to each of them. I mounted the largest flower in the bottom left corner and the other two in the opposite right corner. I cut Wispy fronds out of white and used them as accents around the flowers. I tucked a small white satin ribbon bow under the largest flower. I added a wide white mat with a navy blue thin mat to the entire card before finishing with a white on white pieced mat layer. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 9" in size. All for now, Sue x

Wishing You Smooth Sailing
Good Sunday morning all! I just love this sweet little card and thought I would share it with you. I used the Porthole die as the focal element, but turned it into a life preserver by wrapping it with red and white Bakers Twine. I used the sentiment from the set and cut it in navy blue card and backed it in white and attached it behind. I selected a piece of red and white polka dot decorative paper from my stash to use on the lower portion of the card. I embossed a piece of white card with the Ocean Wave Pinpoint folder and attached the decorative paper to the bottom of it. I cut the Trellis Edger in blue and used it as a border between the two pieces. I cut the sailboat from the Nautical Accessory set in white and in navy blue. I cut the bottom of the ship off of the blue one and glued it on top of the white one. I added it to the bottom portion of the card with mounting foam and cut a ships wheel in white to go with it. The card was completed in white, red and blue mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size.

Christmas Double Day
Hi bloggers! It's time for another Christmas double day! There are quite a few pics for this first card as I was really trying to capture the beauty of the Sparkle Texture paste for you. I started by spreading Ocean Spray, Periwinkle and Polar White STP across a piece of acetate. I set it aside to dry overnight. Next I cut a piece of white card and used the Frosty Frame to cut an aperture in the middle of it. I glued it to the reverse side of the acetate with the sparkle texture paste (so the paste was away from the card) and reinserted the die back into the cut out area. I ran a thin line of dries clear glue around the edge and sprinkled it with Iced Snow and allowed it to dry, then added mounting foam to the back to raise it. I cut a larger piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the Snowflake Mosaic embossing folder. I seated the topper on it and added two snowflakes to the corner as accents. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out and added it to the centre of the snowflake tag from the Frosty Frame. I attached it to the centre of the aperture with foam. White on white mats and layers were added to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 9" in size. Scroll down for card number two.
Card number two was a demo from my last set of ODS shows. It is a very quick and easy card, great for batch making too. I started with a piece of coconut white card and stamped my sentiment in black in the lower corner. Next I cut the Lattice Ribbon die in gold mirror card and extended it to make it longer to fit the card. I glued it into place along the left side of the card. I cut several of the Classic Poinsettia dies out of ruby red card and coated the petal with Red Glitter Kiss before assembling them. I seated them in a cluster on the ribbon lattice and added Berry Boughs cut out of several shades of green card. A white satin messy bow was added underneath the largest flower and several Holly Swirls cut out of white card were used as accents. White and gold card mats and layers were used to complete the card. the finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size. I hope you have enjoyed both cards today! All for now, Sue x
