Baked With Love

Hi crafters!  Here is a pretty apron card for you!  I dug around in my stash of decorative papers for this one and found a soft cream and green striped background piece (there wasn't a name on it though, sorry).  I cut the Apron out of kraft card twice, once for the base and the second one was just for the pockets.  I cut all the utensils out of either milk card or silver card.  I arranged the utensils and tools coming out of the pockets and added some thin cream satin ribbon for the ties.  I cut the pot holder out of the same decorative paper as the background.  I attached the apron on an angle and used the larger cooking items in the corner of the card.  I added a pretty green silk ribbon (also from my stash) in the lower left corner with a clear Dazzler in the centre.  I cut the sentiment three times out of milk card and glued them together for a bit of dimension and attached it in the upper right corner.  Milk and kraft card mats and layers were added to finish the card off.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card Sue. i love this set. Watched Hichanda last night, saw some different takes on your lovely nautical dies.
Sharon, not the result you had hoped for but you have such a strong positive attitude, let's hope that they can sort it quickly. No wonder you have had one thing after another and not recovering well. A massive hug for you my friend.
Elaine, I'm sorry that Andrew us not well at the moment, the treatment is so harsh. I hope he improves soon. Take care of yourself too.
Nannieflash, hope all goes well for you too, caring hugs for you.
Yvonne, yes I would love that, if I can get the time off work, count me in.
P, lovely Ladybird, what a grand old lady, and a lovely peaceful way to go.
Norah, how could you think we wouldn't miss you, so glad you are back, hope the funeral us not too stressful for you, it's hard to lose friends and family.
Maureen, you may be down at the moment but definitely not out, you are amazing.
Myra, you should have out the ironing in the cupboard you had just cleaned out, best place for it.
Got a formal action meeting at work today, as I was off a week with my lung infection/pneumonia, still taking the antibiotics, 3rd course, talk about stress.
Hugs to all, special ones for poorly and missing friends, Risemary that includes you too.

Morning Sue. These dies, the Kinetics etc was such a clever idea of yours, what gave you that idea I wonder ? I've seen a few lovely cards in the fb group made with this set, from baking to D.I.Y to gardening and using the cute dies from the window box has added a smile to our faces (that cat gets everywhere) lol. This is a really lovely sample today Sue, hoping my daily visits here will soon make me feel like doing a little something. So I'll send my usual love n hugs your way and hope you are well and happy xxx

Pam, hope the meeting goes well, shouldn't be necessary. As ever, hanging on to your comments.
Thanks all for thoughts re Ladybird, it was a long wait for the digger man yesterday, didn't come until 7 p.m. but all is well. Yes, she had a lovely life. Her companion was very edgy but he has a new girlfriend to keep him company (who he already knows, from the same owner); now it's Aslan with Crumble. Lots of happy dashing going on, she is a little minx and only 3.
Norah - have always loved your Ochil News and made a plea or three when you were missing!
Laine - keep an eye on that Brodie!! Think I would worry too.
Nannieflash, Sharon, Rosemary P and Maria with little sleep - especially thinking about you and sending good wishes.
Hugs to anyone needing one.

It's a bit overcast here this morning but at least it's dry. Good evening Sue and the Wilsonettes,
What a wonderful card minus the big green bow this card would make for a master bakers birthday if they were male because i see absolutely no reason why it would not be prefect accompiament to their craft and i think they would be rather tickled at it. Now the background looks like it has grease marks on it which is just how any card in a kitchen would get and talk about making it look authentic looking, well that just takes the biscuit or the cake or the buns or whatever, well done flower, its just perfect.
Well talk about a whirlwind day gee whizz, it's no wonder by the time i had got to the surgery my asthma was playing up so i've been put on another inhaler. Having dropped Rory at college this morning and came back and let Tia out(she's not been well, her daddy's fault), went to Stirling to see my friend with a quick run around the shops, post office Hazel & Maureen, got O.H. a daily tablet organiser for him, tried in vain to find him white t shirts(because he thinks he's still ages with the youngsters and trying out their style when the silly auld goat is turning 55 and not 25), had a coffee and returned my scooter to shopmobility in the Thistle centre, back to try and talk nicely to my legs in order to get a pair of tights on the legs again for the funeral this afternoon(and they just weren't playing nicely at all with me so they now have rips up them, bin calling) to go for flowers, pick up Rory again, drop him home to come back to the funeral palour. By the time i got out of there and back home to quickly make something for Rory for lunch for us to be out the door within 10 minutes to get to the doctors. Well he's tried both hands and numerous fingers and just realised that i have frozen cold hands as well as feet so could have the Reynaurds in my hands as well. Gee i'm so lucky, both top and bottom, lol. He's sending me for a chest xray just to rule out pnuemonia and changed my inhalers to stronger ones with the priviso that i need to use them(in trouble again), and it's not a MOT i need but a full service i think( the scrappies in Stirling wouldn't take me if i was a broken down auld car, i would be that bad. hee hee hee. Awh you've got to laugh sometimes otherwise you would just take yourself to a wee corner and greet'. On a brighter note it has been a beautiful day and at one point when i came out of the centre there wasn't a sound to be heard, no cars going past or making an awful racket, no buses trying to skip the lights, it was empty and appreciated for that minute that it lasted as that doesn't happen all that often in the center of Stirling.
Sending hugs to all the lovely Wilsonettes that need them, want them or could just do with some, they are yours with my blessing. Andrew flower, i hope that you perk up again soon.Elaine, it is no wonder your getting flare ups that is stress related, you've kind of been walking beside your Andrew through all his treatment and being his mum, you worry about your child. We can be 6'8" and our mums would be just like you, so hugs flower. P in Wales - i'm glad that Ladybird got to go with the sun on her and oh i can understand her "mum" & "dad" not wanting to make or take interventing proceedures, she has went out her own way and on such a lovely day. RIP Ladybird. Sending some hugs to Sharon as well.

The nautical dies will be put to good use as my dad has salt water running through his veins. He was in the Merchant Navy in his younger days and has until very recently sailed regularly. I had many a happy holiday as a child on the high seas - good times x
It's a brief comment today. Sending happy thoughts and lots of love to everyone x
Take care

Hello Sue,
I'm rather late! I love your card today and I think this is such a useful Die which will be used over and over again! The detail is amazing! I have had such fun using it! Margaret is very kind! Margaret is a brilliant baker - that's not just hearsay - I've tasted her wares!!!
Deb you could make an apron shaped card! That would make it a smaller card.
I'm going to be brief tonight! Sorry , who said - hallelujah !
Love to all my blog friends! Myra xxx

Hi Sue. WOW !!! I love your stunning card today !!! The apron is really cool and the accessories are wicked !!! Soooo cute !!! I love the colours you have used to. The big green bow is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
I saw Lisa Hortons shows on Hochanda today with your amazing Fishbowl and Porthole dies. She was brilliant and gave me lots of inspiration and ideas to think about for the cards I want to make. They really are the most fantastic dies Sue !!! Thank you.

Hello Sue,
What a lovely card. Your little utensils are just so cute and that sweet little pot holder is lovely. Love the big bow and your background paper. It's brilliant Sue, thank you.

Pam I hope the meeting went well. It's ridiculous having to justify being ill, surely it not allowed to criticise you for it.
Rosemary, just give them fish and chips! All foreigners love them, well my hubby does anyway!
Norah you've had a hectic day, so pleased you have seen the doctor, the gang will all be relieved.
Yvonne, there's nothing like it, wind in your sails and a gin and tonic in your hand! Bliss. Enjoy their visit.
Laine, Brodie is just a tart! Wonder who is the role model?
Elaine hope Andrew got some answers today, thinking of you.
Myra - halleluja, hallelujah, halleluja etc......
Well the work on the cottage is done. I can't use the woodburner for a couple of days but at least everything in the sitting room is now clean and back in place, I've scrubbed it to within an inch of its life! Plaster dust gets everywhere and mixed with coal dust, well it's just not nice!
Love and hugs for all

Hi Sue,

Another lovely card. This mini apron is so versatile and those mini utensils are so cute. I like soft cream and green striped background and the utensils’ colors. I am not sure about the apron’s color, for a man maybe … The bow is a lovely touch if the card is for a lady.

Pam - How did the meeting go?
Elaine – Sending my daily hugs for you all.
Rosemary P. - Greek people really love to eat, from simple grilled foods and vegetable dishes to rich layered casseroles and delicate pastries. Check the net, you’ll find lots of recipes. One of my favorite dishes is Moussaka: with meat or vegetable. It can be time-consuming to prepare, but is delicious. Or Stuffed Grape Leaves - Dolmathakia, or Domates Yemistes - Stuffed Tomatoes with Meat and Rice.
Owlish – Good luck with the baking. For your nice -Best Wishes on the Grand Opening
Myra – Ironing is on my ‘to do’ list for today. I use it as a chance to catch up some TV.Two birds one stone.
Maureen, Maria – Hope you are ok. Miss you.
Yvonne /PP - I agree. It was a trap, to make her come back ...
Laine – How do you feel, dear? How many days off do you need after your chat with PP?

Hugs

Love this card and it would be perfect for a friend of mine even down to the colours. I love the dies as they are so versatile and with the barbecue season upon us can easily be used for the men too.
Sorry I'm so late with the comment. I don't know where the time goes to. Only two weeks until we go to Switzerland with our classic car club for our European meeting and I still have all the routes to plan for our week in the Black Forest after the meet in Switzerland. We will be leading five cars for that part as some of our party need to get back having already spent the first week in Germany. Thank goodness for the internet. I can adapt some of the glorious routes on there for us.
I made up one of the stained glass dies today and for speed I paper pieced it. So quick and easy. Thanks for the great idea Sue.
Hugs to all.

Hi Sue. I think this card is fantastic. Love it the way it is but get rid of the bow and it would be a great card for any budding chefs and the BBQ Season.
Best Wishes.
