More Candy Machines

Hello crafters!  I thought I would share with you a few more of the Candy Machine samples this week.  Here are another five samples, all different, but all quite fun.  I really enjoyed matching the candies and theming the samples!  The first one here used the You're So Sweet Stamps to Die For that come with the sentiment stamp as well as a curved gumball stamp to use inside the machine.  With a simple post it mask, you can stamp it and make a lovely border for the top and bottom of your card!  The last sample has heart shaped red hot candies to match the border.  Green minty candies for the St. Patrick's Day sample.  Pink and blue for  baby themed sample and a frosty snowflake card with silver candies!  You can see that there is just an endless amount of creativity that can go into one of these Working Candy Machine cards.  Let me know which one is your favourite so far?   I hope you have found some cute ways to use the die set too!   I would love to hear about it as well.   All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I really like the candy machine set, as you say it is so versatile and what a joy it is for a child (or adult come to that) to open the card and see how it is a working creation, all those little sweeties falling out, brilliant concept Sue.

I reiterate everything that Pam has said above. Pam yes you will have to start saving for your new laptop, ha ha, you never know when your current one will finally give up the ghost on you.

Met one of my craft ladies at our local craft show yesterday who was with her husband and they are going to come to the Detling show on 13th May and want VIP tickets too so I will have someone to share the day with whilst her husband sits in the hospitality suite and does his own thing, I am so looking forward to this new show by Createit and Hochanda, there are about 40 + exhibitors so far. Sorry Sue not sure if I should mention this here but I know that a lot of the stalls will have your dies and stamps for sale (saw loads yesterday and they were flying out the door - no surprise there is there.)

Hopefully having an easy day today doing some prep for my Wednesday class, the emphasis this week is on stamping and embossing incorporated in our card this week.

Happy May Day everyone.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue
My you do have some great ideas for this die , all cards are lovely.

Andrew and Helen braved the weather yesterday and by early afternoon it was all calm , the Man next door kindly offered to help Andrew fix the new awning { they have had it for over 12 months but with being ill it got left } so it is now in place and ready for the sunshine .
Helen is relaxing with her book today and has told Andrew to go and do some fishing so all is well there.

Pam i am trying to rest as much as i can , but John does not vac corners or wash the bottom of the plates ,tut tut it just goes to show i have thoroughly spoiled him the last 54 years .

Echoing Pam as ever
Take care , big hugs to all and a gentle one for Maureen

I'm with the majority liking the classic red gumball machine. What could appeal more to the kid in everyone? Except maybe a working ce cream truck, but that would be hard to accomplish in paper. Along with Debra K, I'm admiring how hard you worked coloring all those gumball you stamped.

Thanks Marg for explaining the bank holiday. Lovely that you have two holidays in such a nice month.

Yes, in a buyout, they offer you money to leave. If they didn't get enough takers, they were going to lay people off. Some people who took the incentive to leave last time have returned as part-time workers without benefits. That seems ideal.

I spent Saturday cutting lots of open shapes from neutral card stock. Like I did with the flowers, I laid the dies on two wide strips of clear tape, about 4 by 11 inches long, covered the whole with wax paper and cut a bunch at a time, two papers thick. For the more intricate dies, I'll cut one thickness at a time. Then I can send my Dad a bunch of loose sentiments that he can put inside the blank cards I made for him.

Really like the sets that combine to make layers of the same shape.

Enjoy your bank holiday!

Love, Donita

The first one is my favourite I think as it's so bright and has the sweets stamped on it but then I do like the snowflake one, great for giving a small gift and card together. The penny has just dropped that it looks like you have used cake decorations in the baby card, what a wonderful idea. Hello Sue,
What a great selection of cards today, all made with the Candy Machine. It just shows that a little imagination goes a long way.
Pam, hope you are feeling much better today. I see you are missing Saba, let's hope she misses you as she's driving today ha ha. (Oops, I'll be in trouble again!!) George is going to iron this morning - I don't know if I can stand it ha ha.
Sharon, I hope the results are good.
Elaine, it's good that Andrew and Helen are enjoying their break, you just relax while they are away. Now it's taken over 50 years before George has managed to do anything, and as for washing the bottom of the plates - he just puts those in the dishwasher ha ha.
'P' as George would say "corners, what are corners?"!!!!
Donita, it sounds as though you have a good production line set up.
PP and Laine, I hope you are both feeling much better and have more energy today.
Carmen, you are a clever woman if you have managed to get the measure of "our friends" ha ha.
June S, the crafting show sounds good - enjoy it when it comes.
Alimecca, you know me, I'll do anything to attract attention so decided to do a head over bottom flip in the middle of the main street in Newcastle and ended up with a fractured hip. Worst thing is that they cut off all my clothes to treat me at the RVI!! Oh dear ha ha.
Have a good day everyone, I'll be dancing round the May Pole later or maybe not as the zimmer frame is not a good look!!!

Saba - is fine - well we hope so!! She is travelling to what she calls God's own County today!! That's Yorkshire for those of you who wouldn't know that!! It's just an opinion - not universally shared! Safe travel dear!!!

Hello Sue,
What a brilliant selection of gumball machines but so difficult to pick a favourite but if I had to choose it would be the St. Patrick's day one, it's such a fun card. I can imagine the fun you've had creating these. Thank you.

Pam and Carmen, sorry I had you worried, I've been visiting my grandson who is six and he has worn me out and by evening I have just crawled to bed!
I am however now in Gods own country as Myra so rightly said, in the Yorkshire dales and it's so good to be "home". I'm here for a week having a new wood burning stove fitted to our cottage before heading back to stay with mr. Bundle of energy for a few days before flying back to Germany. It's perishing cold here and will be until the fire is installed and up and running, at least I don't need to chill the wine!
Maureen and Myra I will have my revenge, Chorlton and the Wheelies indeed! At least I don't confuse green for go and red for stop at traffic lights like some I could mention!
Pam I'm jumping on your train and echoing everything you said today, hope that's ok.
Love and hugs fro all

Gosh Maureen, I bet that raised a few eyebrows on Northumberland Street! I know what you mean about having your clothes cut off too - when I fell in the garden in January and dislocated my artificial knee the paramedics had to cut my Rohan trousers off me , or should I say cut 1 leg off! When I woke up in my hospital bed the next morning I looked a right sight in them! I had to ask for a pair of scissors to cut the rest off as I couldn't move my leg - oh the indignity off it! Well I'm sorry that I missed the tale but am really pleased that you are now recovering . Love and hugs Alison xxx
