Get Well

Good Sunday morning all!  I have a very simple card to share with you today, but I rather liked it, hope you will too!  I started with a piece of black card and sprinkled on some Pixie Powders.  I used the Burnt Orange, Sun Yellow and Emerald Green and spritzed it with water.  I allowed it to dry naturally rather than drying it with a heat tool as the colours don't run as much that way. I love the way that Pixie Powders just look so different when used on black card rather than white card!   I used the Autumn Leaf Trio die set and cut three of the largest leaf out of it.  I coated them with Cosmic Lacquer and allowed them to dry for several hours, giving a beautiful shine.  I prepared my background and cut a piece of black and white striped card (from my stash) on the diagonal. I taped it onto a piece of coconut white card and added a strip of black card as a diagonal divider. I mounted the leaves in a row along the divider.  Using the Get Well die from the Feel Better Soon die set, I cut it twice, once in white and once in black.  I used the black as a shadow and mounted the saying on the white background.  I completed the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6" x  7 1/4" in size.

The winners of this week's Comment Game are:

Norah McPhee!!!
Ann Toppcards!!!
Heather Treble!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

Good evening Sue and the happy band of Wilsonettes ,
Sue, Sue, Sue, what are you trying to do to me, I'm still trying to coax just a few glitter flakes out without sneezing or having a coughing fit and now you want me to go pixie dusting? I know just where that will end up...I would be sneezing wonderful colours for days. I wonder if the ear, nose and throat are all connected if it would brighten up this chest infection of mine as I could do with it being a different colour to yeuck A great card though flower for the awkward sods in our lives that "oh you shouldn't have bothered" kind that behind you are saying" aye well that's me noo been like this fir a week and dae they bother about me, naw they dinnae, no even a get weel caird" or in English , "oh that was so kind of you to think of me, thank you so much" and behind your back will be" what do you think of that. I've been ill now for over a week and no one is the least bit interested, not even the good grace to send a get well card to me". Thank you flower for yet another different card that we all need to make at times.
Well my flowers, I had to go back and see what Pam was saying it woohoo to me for because I hadn't made the screen bigger to see that my name was one of this weeks lucky winners along with Anne and Heather. Thank you Sue for brightening up my day today and the other ladies, now that I have one of those stamping gizmos I can get a perfect stamp now even if it takes me a couple or few more go' sat it. Thank you to all the lovely Wilsonettes for their lovely wishes, you really are the loveliest bunch of cyber friends that anyone could wish to have.
Now Maureen, you just remember just how wonderful your lovely George is when you're all better again and not be giving him a hard time, lol. I'm just thinking it's taken you 50 odd years of marriage to get him so domesticated, if you had broken your hip a few years ago you could have had all this extra help and so much less for you to do, hee hee . Never mind flower you can sort it all out when you're back on your feet again.
Pam flower, we are behind you here at the blog so sending you down some nerves of steel, some concrete for to keep your stance and hugs to keep you going. Don't let them get away with anything flower.
Oh Pat, your poor John, what a horrible finish to a perfect day. I doubt he hadn't had either anything to drink or not enough, because he would have bounced and not done himself any damage if he had. We had no fears that your niece wouldn't like her beautiful flowers and she would have loved them all the more because of who had done them for her, it makes all the difference. My mums best friend did my flowers, or had done them until the pup that we had decided to have a wander up onto the table where they were being kept along with my headdress. The wee monkey ruined my bouquet that mum had to fix it for me, my headdress had to be taken apart and salvaged and also required another headdress as well because the wee comb that it made up when remade just wasn't enough for the hair. Anyway I hope that the hospital have got John on plenty of painkillers as he will be needing them at the moment. Sending hugs down to him.
Happy birthday Diane my lovely friend, I hope you have had a great day flower and got some lovely presents that doesn't include things like a stick blender etc.
Oh boy is this stent carry on tiring, I'm thinking of getting one of those oo Michelle pinnys so that I'm properly dressed for this maid malarkey. And I have the joy of him for another week in the house annoying everyone including poor Tia.
Sending hugs to all the Wilsonettes that need, want or could just do with them, they are yours for the taking,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah x
