Today & Forever

Hi guys!  It's soppy hearts for today's card.  I do have an admission to make though, I just love hearts!  My favourite necklace is a heart (I actually have it in a few colours I like it so much!)  I think I am just a big old romantic at heart and that is why I love hearts!  LOL  Anyways, you can see why this card is just right up my street!  I started by sort of creating the background by cutting the decorative die from the Heart Of Hearts die set just to use the fall away pieces on my background.  I think I cut it four or five times out of dusty rose card (from my stash).  I covered a piece of coconut white card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  Next I decided how large I wanted my focal element to be and cut the mat and main square.  I went ahead and stamped my sentiment on it and embossed it in white, then attached the piece with foam to the centre so I knew where my edge started and ended.  From that point, I just laid the heart fall away pieces down randomly all the way around the border edge (it is about 3/4inch wide)  I used all the sizes and sort of pigeon holed them in, starting with the largest sizes then filling in spots with smaller pieces.  Once they had all been put into place, I coated the remaining open area with Diamond Snow to cover the remaining sticky adhesive sheet that was exposed.  I cut a heart using the outer die from the set out of coconut white card and embossed it with the Bed of Roses folder.  I inked the edges with Victorian velvet and glued two small hearts to the upper corner and attached it to the centre of the card.  I finished with a white pieced mat, a thin rose mat and another white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, wow what a gorgeous card made by our very own 'queen of hearts', I know what you mean about being a romantic, my hubby is not romantic at all so I tend to channel all my feelings into the cards I make, as I can see you do too.

Hi Sue,
Beautiful card, would make a beautiful wedding card that I'm sure the happy couple would treasure forever.
Sorry I didn't comment yesterday but had a very busy day and time just ran away with me. France's and Sue thanks for asking about Scamp. She got on well at the vets and I didn't get told off! She just called her a little tinker! I was quite pleased with myself when I proudly told the vet that Scamp had been seeing well in fact so well that I'd had to get the puppy pads. Well the vet said she would just feel her bladder and then announced that it was VERY full. I was mortified! She started squeezing gently and there was a torrent! How a very petite cat could hold so much liquid I'll never know! ( Sorry if you're having your breakfast!) Apparently she wasn't going because it was too painful for her to stand, and the wee she was producing was just leaking. Anyway, I'm proud to announce that she is seeing normally now and puppy pads no longer required. The vet was really pleased with her walking and the fact that her tail has more movement. We go back again on Sunday and then probably Thursday. So all in all a good visit and she seems much happier in herself too.
Love and hugs to everyone, Alison xxxx

Nice card, Sue, love the dusty rose colour - also not a 'hearts' person, but do like the design and fairly easy to achieve - with a bit of patience!
Muriel, shame about the daffodils - the most glorious of spring flowers. From what you've said, much as we need an escape from the rain, don't think I could tolerate your extreme heat! Actually we've had 2/3 decent days recently.
Jan L.I. - wow what a birthday surpise! Hope you enjoyed hugely.
Alison - is Scamp OK after the Great Escape?!
Hope all our unwell friends are improving and quickly. Hugs all round.

Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Sorry i haven't been about Sue and Wilsonettes but i have been getting a new fiberglass roof on our house and between the hammering and banging, still saws whirring, ladders getting clattered up against walls and old metal roof coming off our house and next doors it has given me a migraine that has lasted the whole week along with the wonderful side effects that come with the migraine. I couldn't leave them to it as the back door needed to be open to get their power leads running with electricity and of course their lovely taste in music, not so hence i haven't been on the computer as the screen or television screen doesn't help matters any, so sorry Sue for neglecting you. Anyway i can see you are an eternal optimist where it comes to love and hearts and why not, after all we are all one this earth for one brief moment in time so show make best of all we can whether it be a second chance at happiness, career or just enjoy what we are fortunate enough to have enjoy to the full. Your card is a very different Sue card today in being plain but simple and conveys that message that is all that is needed. Thank you Sue for bringing to us the inspiration and delight that you do with panache, i hope that you are doing ok flower but sending some hugs your way just to keep you going. Tracey flower so pleased that you are at the end of the first road back to health, as it has been such a hard and agonising road flower but i am sending hugs your way because you are doing so well and keeping your brave chin up when many of us would have crumpled in a heep so keep going flower and you are getting nearer that finishing post, it's almost in sight. I hope that you are all having a lovely day and what a lovely week it has been even if it has been in the O's or minuses it's still been a great week and maybe i can now enjoy what is left of it with the dull throb that i have which i can cope with no problem, so sending hugs out to all Wilsonettes that need them or just could do with one that lets them know that someone cares,
love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil Village)

Unlike you Sue, I'm a big fat old cynic not a sweet romantic however, who wouldn't be charmed to receive such a beautiful card made with love and painstaking patience! I love the rose card, such a pretty shade and shame we don't have similar in the foundations range, it makes a refreshing change from red. Wow, the time it must have taken to adhere all those hearts!!??! Respect! Apart from the bling background it is a relatively simple card for you, void of any extravagant adornments and it suits this card perfectly, no bells and whistles are required:-)
Only wish I had somebody to send me such a lovely card:-(, Nevermind, I've got my babies and I'm sure Brodie would make me one if the little hearts weren't so fiddly for his paws, and his fur didn't get stuck to the sticky sheets:-)
I've had a busy couple of days trying to keep up with all the household chores and shopping...I didn't appreciate how much my Mum actually does until she is poorly....I've been worked like a dog:-) I was meant to get my nails and toenails done today but poor Lizzie has came down with a sickness bug, there seems to be a lot of viruses going around just now but thankfully I'm all but immune thus far:-)
I'm super excited and back to terrorising my postman because I've been able to splash the cash and get some new dies and stuff:-) I have been positively champing at the bit for some time now having missed the past couple of launches....yes, it's really been that long!.....but I've made up for it and bought eight die sets and a stamp...I told my Mum that they were essentials if I was to make her Mothers Day card in time:-) I loved yesterday's card so much that I now plan on recreating it...because I never have an original thought!...with a different colour scheme, I hope she loves it as much as I do.
Alison, I'm so thrilled that Scamp is doing well- the poor little scone though, having to hold on to all that wee it must have been so uncomfortable for her:-( I'm glad it's been resolved though. Cats are real troupers and just get on with things without moaning, she's a little star! I have been so worried about her, as if I know her personally, because we invest so much time and emotion onto the blog everyone feels like family and you really care about their well being and the well being of their loved ones....
Jan, belated birthday greetings! You sound like you are being treated like a princess, and deservedly so! Hope you enjoy your celebrationsxxx
Yvonne, I'm hoping that you feel abit better honey and that it won't be too long before you're strong enough to insult us once again:-) Big hugsxxxx
Huge cuddles to Pam,Maria,Theresa,Linda,Lorraine,Wheely bad,Saba, Tracy, Beth,Deb C and Rebecca , plus anyone feeling low or under the weatherxxxx

Love and crafty hugs

Hi Sue
A stunning card.I like the fact you've used all the fall away for the background, don't think I'd have had the patience to do this.

Hi Sue. Love the background and must give that a try myself. Like others I do save various shapes which fall from the dies and have many hearts among them. Beautiful card. X

So so pretty I love this heart die and to simply emboss the outer edge with one of my favourite embossing folders - gorgeous

Very pretty card. Love the heart die. I think you need to design an embossing folder with hearts.

Fabulous card. I bought this die at the launch with my golden wedding anniversary in mind. I've got eight months to try to do a golden version of this lovely border, perhaps with a mixture of gold card. It will probably take me that long!!!
Take care everyone.

Goodness Sue, what patience to place all those little hearts! Although I am not a 'heart' person, this card certainly appeals.

Hi Sue

Hope you are well?
I love this card. The background is so beautiful! The colour is gorgeous!

May I make a suggestion? That you please make an embossing folder of these hearts! It will definitely, definitely without a doubt be a sell out because everyone loves hearts! And hearts are perfect for every kind of card.

Take care
Lou x
