Thank You

Hi crafters!  More Daisy Clusters this week!  I started by cutting an aperture in a piece of coconut white card using the largest die from the Grace die set.  I inked the entire piece with the Grace die still in place using the Lilac Whisper Colour Cloud ink.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it for dimension.  I cut the rest of the Grace die without the cutting edges out of white card.  I seated the aperture over the Grace die cut out and backed the entire piece with white card.  I cut the Bold Thank you in white, then shadowed it with a deep plum colour and backed it in white.  I added it to the bottom of the card.  I cut the Daisy Cluster in white and added plum coloured flowers behind and seated it on the side of the Grace die with some white satin ribbon.  I stamped the first part of the sentiment and cut it out with the small oval in the Grace die set and mounted it in the centre of the card.  I added three pearl accents in the upper corner before adding my final mats and layers to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Lovely card, Sue, pretty daisy cluster on a beautiful lilac theme. Yesterday's video great as ever, thank you, always learning!
Do hope you are 'holding up' Sue - such a difficult time. We had a family bereavement on Wed. evening - my oldest cousin, a practical busy and wonderful person who had time for her huge immediate family and all of us extensions so to speak. She contracted MRSA in hospital which led to septicaemia - awful and so unfair. We're a very much scattered family but do keep in contact.
Yvonne G - hope your friend Marjorie has some improvement - sending hugs.

Hi Sue,
Another beautiful card - you've got me shadowing words (and dies), too. Also, cutting two or more sentiments if they're very intricate (or even if they're not, for added dimension). It's one of these "why didn't I think of this"...........
Hugs, Rose

It cuts like a dream but then I wouldn't expect anything less from your dies. I haven't made it into a card yet but its pending. Got a few other things to finish off before starting something new. Hope things are as OK as they can be with you and your family. Thank you and thinking of you all.

Morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
This is a really bonny card Sue with the die set going down into the card showing just how deep it is but also the dies you have used are beautiful making a real statment on the front of the card. I like how you have filled in the flowers with the matching plum and shadowed the greeting with it as well. It's not too stark in contrast with you only seeing tiniest of elements to pop the card. I wonder what set i have at home that i could do a similar thing with as i don't have any of these dies either. Thank you flower for our beautiful piece of inspiration today as it is bonny. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers flower sending hugs by special delivery to keep you close.
Well folks it's still on the dark side here today but i think that is how it is going to stay somehow so i hope that you have nicer weather where ever you are. The brain has went into shut down mode this morning so i will finish off by sending hugs to Sue, Tracey, Wheelybad and all that really could do with them with my thoughts and prayers,
love and crafty hugs

Sue I love all of your ideas and your dies, I do have a suggestion it would be wonderful if you had smaller versions of the same dies, I know UK makes mostly the 8x8 cards but in US and Canada our standard size of cards are 6x6 or 5x7 or smaller, and i have had alot of people say that unable to buy as they are too big for our cards. I would love to have the striplets, borders and backgrounds in sizes that can be used on 6x6 or 5x7 cards. Sorry for posting this here I couldnt find a suggestion area to send to privately.

Thanks penny

Good evening dearest sue and her lovely Wilsonettes,

I love the composition of today's card and the touch of plum shadowing the sentiment really makes it pop. The dies are flawless as usual, my one reservation is the colour cloud inking on the top layer of card, just not to my taste, but hey Ho! Many would argue that I have no taste anyway:-)
Apologies for my absence yesterday, my only excuse is that I am busy preparing myself for the Strictly show tomorrow and what used to amount to an hour or so preparation now takes days of numerous appointments and planning! I've had my hair cut and dyed, my finger and toenails gelled to within an inch of their lives, my caci facial to make me look like a respectable 43 yr old and not a Dot Cotton tribute act and my monobrow waxed.... The restoration of the Houses of Parliament will take less time and on a smaller budget!
I plan to get a good eight hours sleep...providing Darcey doesn't start scratching my wardrobe at 2am as is her new pastime of choice...and a ridiculously early start because the mechanics of getting myself bathed, pampered, preened and suitably made up takes time...lots of time! The show is at 2.30pm which isn't very rock and roll but I don't have the staying power anymore I'm afraid and I like to be back home at a reasonable hour to watch The Voice...sad, I know. I am super excited to see Gleb, that gorgeous specimen from Eastern Europe gyrate and tease the foolish ladies in the audience who should know better...my mum included! I'll try to comment tomorrow but I fear I may be overcome with excitement and exhaustion, a heady mixture.
I recieved my Sydney die in the post this morning which was equally exciting, thanks for choosing me Sue in recognition of my status as no1 fan/ stalker, it's greatly appreciated.
P, so sorry for the loss of your cousin, it's been a terrible few weeks for bereavements, my thoughts are with you. Special paws for thought goes to Hugo for doing what cats do bestxxxx
Yvonne, how sad that Margorie has suffered a stroke, they can be so debilitating especially given her age. I really hope that she makes a good recovery so that she can maintain her independence. It must help her to know how cared for she is and loved by her friends. Remember to look after yourself too though honey, you'll be no use to anyone frazzledxxxx Are you a little bit jealous that I could get my hands on some peachy bums tomorrow? I'll be thinking of you, briefly, as I squeeze :-) Take care sweetiexxx

I absolutely love the grace die set and it is at the top of my wish list at the moment along with another couple of "must have" Sue Wilson die sets !!! ( to be honest Sue, every " must have" set on my wish list is top priority !!!) I just wish I could get them all !!! I think they are a very pretty, elegant set. I love those Daisy cluster dies to. They are also on my list. The "thank you" word dies are great, so clean and crisp. Very smart looking. Thank you Sue for sharing this lovely card today.
I am sorry you are going through such a horrible time right now Sue. Thinking of you today and sending you lots and lots of love and hugs. Take care Sue, love from Tres x x x

Pretty card, such lovely colours. Think the Daisy Cluster die has to leap off the wish list very soon. It's lovely.
Condolences to P in Wales on the loss of your cousin.

Another beautiful card today Sue.
The grace die is so elegant and beautiful I think it is going to be a firm favourite of mine along with the daisy cluster.
I also love the colour cloud inks as they seem to give card a textural look that makes me want to stroke it as though it is suede.
I know I am strange lol
Hope you and the family are coping and finding the strength to get through the coming days and weeks.
my thoughts are with you all.

Sue, I'm such a big fan of you and your work. I've followed you for a long while and don't think I've ever commented to you. There are sooo many of your die sets I'd love to have, unfortunately I can only get a piece here and there. Hopefully I'll be able to get your Canadian and French set in this next year....I love them! I also came across your open petal florals I'm putting on my "Hope" list. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us.
With lots of admiration,
Carole Lovill
