Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello everyone!  It's time for another card giveaway (they do come around quickly, don't they?)  If you would like to be entered in the drawing to win this card, just leave me a comment.  There is one disclaimer, however, this card cannot be posted out until after I do my shows on the 7th and 8th of Feb.  Mainly because I forgot to leave enough cards for the giveaway to be posted out while I am away, sorry about that!  Hopefully it will be a nice surprise for the winner when it finally arrives!  Using the Scandinavian Background, cut it in coconut white card and leave a wide margin around the edge.  Add mounting foam to the back edge and around the centre for support.  Mount it over another piece of white card for a tonal look.  Stamp your sentiment in black and cut into a strip and add a forked end to it.  Lightly ink the edges with Dusty Concord distress ink.  Using the Complete Camellia die, make several flowers using the same method as the Blossoms Five Flower tutorial at the top of the blog.  I used Lilac card, then inked the petal edges with Dusty Concord distress ink.  Add to the centre of the background seated in some white tulle, along with the sentiment strip.  Cut several Mosaic Leaves and Twigs (from the Holly Accessory kit set) and seat them around the flowers as embellishments.  Pierce a white mat layer, add a thin Lilac mat, then a final white mat to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8 3/4" in size.  Don't forget to leave a comment.  I will draw the winner and post the name on Saturday's blog post.  All for now, Sue x

Wow a truly beautiful card. I have these dies so will be doing this one.
I have had a space in my craft room ever since I've been on the blog, "Just in case I should win"
I will wait and hopefully one day!! but I also want all the wilsonettes to win a Sue card. at some point.
Well shoulder still not good and no news about my ultrasound, am unable to do much, can't craft, can't knit so am struggling with the loneliness.
Big hugs to all

Hi Sue

Very pretty. By coincidence, the card I started Saturday has flowers (roses) on it- or by not much coincidence as, we usually put flowers or a butterfly on our cards! I hope when you say 'TV' soon you mean in the UK. I just renewed my membership so have a voucher sitting waiting ready!

Welcome Dawn, the more the merrier I say!

Seems a good few of the Wilsonettes have been poorly. Get well soon, stay warm and soon you'll be crafting!

Saw all the snow on the One show tonight, hope all you Wilsonettes in Scotland and the north of England are safe, warm and well. The 4 degrees here today was balmy by comparison! It can get icy anywhere at night though so please be careful.

Hugs

Good evening Sue and the wonderful band of Wilsonettes,
Oh Sue, this is such pretty card with just the pop of colour in the flower and the fine layer of lilac to keep it company. I think this would make a beautiful gift for a lot of lovely occasions. The camellia is such a beautiful flower and I love how you can make it as big as you like fullness wise or as a tiny bud coming first into bloom. I hope that you are having a lovely trip back home and actually taking a break as sometimes even you need time to recharge your batteries flower.
Oh Janet, what kind of Tia has your daughter got? My Tia Maria might be a bit daft but she is right beside me on my bad days just sitting leaning her soft head on my lap. She is my company and who I talk to when getting everything right with the world. It was such a lonely place before she came and I had never been used to not having paws padding through the house as we always had a dog. Hope you have managed to get your feet back on the ground after floating upwards on Sunday.
Welcome Dawn to the mad hatters, sorry the Wilsonettes, I hope that you will return again as we love to get new friends joining us.
I hope you feel better soon Zena from your head cold as it can really bring you down and on top of already being poorly, you could do well without it. Sending hugs just so you are not alone.
Maria, I hope your hubbies."flu" gets better soon but there again if he is anything like mine they are dying and we don't understand what it's like to have it as bad as they do. Namely they are pathetic and mines takes a day or two literally of antibiotics(that's not even his) ruins a course of them because he doesn't take them all and they were Kirstens for taking when her others were finished. You were saying about the fragile sex!!
Well it has been frozen north alright today and I have waited in all day for a phone call to say that the stairlift engineers were on their way to take out mums stairlift for them to come at 4:20this afternoon and it was only because I seen the van go flying past that I thought I would chance it to see if it was for me. You will have realised that there was no phone call and it was just fortunate that I caught the glimpse that I did or I would have missed them. They knew nothing about calling first as they were just going to feet mum to answer the door. They would have had a long wait, wouldn't they? Because of how the stairlift is designed it shakes and rattles everything out of place in my back so I just can't go on the thing plus I'm terrified of it as it shoogles over the joints, stuttering and jolting its way to the top. Anyway that is another thing dealt with and another step forward I think.
That is me for the night my dear friends, take care and sending you all hugs both here on the blog at the moment and to the ones who can't be here
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Oh Sue Wow,
I love this card, I thought that as I had a few of the background dies I didn't think I needed this one, but it is stunning, it's a lot more of an open pattern than some of the others showing more of the background. Thank you so much for showing those Camilla flowers, Sue they are stunning, I didn't know if you had seen my post the other day when I asked for some ideas on how to make different flowers, I didn't think of using it the like that, the inking of the edges really does give more definition to the flower.
Thank you a Sue for the fabulous inspiration , a real winner this one and certainly worth the wait.
Sending you huge hugs,
Sandra xxxxxx
