Just For You

Hi bloggers!  I have mixed just about everything from the third release in today's card offering! LOL  I started with a piece of lilac card and used the Phoenix die from my Gemini Collection on the edges.  For the focal element, I used the Herald Square in white as the backdrop.  I cut a Dainty Rectangle Frame and a Dainty Oval frame in coconut white card, cut them in half and mounted the ends on the side with the oval frame staggered shorter than the rectangle frame.  I stamped my sentiment on lilac card and heat embossed it in white.  I cut the smaller die in the Herald Square paired with the cutting edge from the Madison Square to create a frame for the sentiment in white.  I glued them together with a very small edge of the lilac card showing.  I mounted it with foam and added it to the centre of the card.  I finished the card with a white mat that I used Cosmic Shimmer white PVA glue dots around the edge.  A thin lilac mat and a final white mat were sued to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

What a truly elegant and regal gift for today. I love everything about it; your colour palette is so so gentle but so so striking and your dies are truly to die for!!! This has certainly got to be the winner of the week for me. Oh how I would love to receive this coming through my letterbox.

Sandra - I hope Bella is OK after her op yesterday. I know she'll get all the love and attention she needs when you get her home.

Well it's Friday again so off to market we go hoping there may be a few more stalls this week as everything seems to have settled down from the holidays. I cannot see what the weather is doing here at the moment as it's still very dark but we shall e wrapped accordingly to suit whatever happens.
I understand that the UK is to have some more horrible storms so it may well be that it reaches here over the week-end.

To all in pain or suffering in any way I hope your days get better soon. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Work had settled a bit on Wednesday though despite national news people still coming in by ambulance with colds!!!!! Can you believe it?

Hi Sue,
Lovely card, I really like the way you have use the dainty ovals and rectangles and how you have combined them with the New York collection. It should be too much, but it's definitely not. It really highlights the mix and match possibilities you get with all your various sets.
I am waiting (not so) patiently for an e-mail from Joanna informing me when she has got the Times Square back in stock, I fell in love with last Monday's card and realised I needed this die set, not just to try and make that card, but because I simply NEED it,!!!!

Thank you to the lovely ladies who offered their congratulations yesterday 52 years and i don't know where its gone, 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchidren later and i'm still not OLD ahah.

Have a wonderful stroll around the market Janet, looking forward to drulling over your pastry (not litterally you understand) !!

Hi Sue, this has to be one of my most favourite cards ever. The colours, of course, are perfect for me and the way you have mixed and matched the dies is so clever.

Barbiepinkfairy - I confess to remembering both of those TV shows. Angels was a particular favourite.
Sandra - so glad Bella is recovering well. Animals are so resilient, aren't they.

Well last night had to be one of the worst storms I can remember and I was woken up several times. Today there were lots of branches and trees down but I think the councils had been on alert because when I went out just after 9am all the big ones had already been cut up and moved off the roads. Slightly calmer today but still pretty wet.

Stay safe, everyone.

Hi Sue

Really pretty, always good to get maximum use from a die. I love the colour.

Had a good day yesterday, got most of the form finished but was asleep at 9pm. Billy woke me at almost 1am as his paws were crossed! I fell asleep on the sofa soon as he was back in and have pretty much been there since feeling like a wrung out dish rag! Mr.W will now drop forms through the door Sunday. Billy doesn't mind as he's had me to lounge over all day!

Hope those already affected by the high winds don't get a double hit. Fingers crossed it won't be as bad as forecast, please, everyone take care and only go out if required

Lilac and lacey, what more could I want? Well, some of your New York dies and soon! Lovely to see a Gemini die used as I do have this one.
Take care everyone.
