Hello there my crafty friends! I have a two-fer for you today. Both butterfly cards. They are both really simple styled cards and I just didn't think that giving them each a separate day was worthwhile. I know you like the two-fers too so two it is! First up, is a elegant distressed card. I selected three soft pastel shades and tore on side of each, staggered them and taped them into place on to a larger piece of white card. I stamped a sentiment (looked everywhere for a butterfly related sentiment, but alas, no luck!) in black Archival ink in the upper left corner. I covered a small piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet. I peeled the backing off and coated it with Diamond Snow. I used the largest butterfly from my Magical Butterfly die set and cut it out for a bit of bling. I glued white flat back pearls down the body, bent the wings up and glued it into place in the right hand corner. I finished the card with my usual pierced white edge with another white mat to finish it off. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8" in size. Scroll down for card no. two.
Card number two is a remake of a card that I did about three years ago. This time I used my butterfly dies and one of my Pinpoint embossing folders. I really liked that card and wanted to see it done with my dies. The butterflies are going up the card the opposite direction of the original, but it is virtually the same card. I embossed the lower portion of the card by running a piece of white card through with my Floral Brocade embossing folder. I hand cut a diagonal edge and then attached it to another piece of white card on which I stamped my sentiment in black in the upper left hand corner. Using another one of the butterflies from the Magical Butterfly die set, I cut five white ones using the decorative insert and the outer cutting edge. I selected five pastel shades of card and used just the outer cutting edge to cut one butterfly from each of the colours. I glued them together only down the body, allowing the wings to move freely. I added small white flatback pearls down each of the bodies after attaching them along my diagonal hand cut edge. I finished this card the same way with a single white mat layer that I paper pierced and a final white mat. Both simple cards, but I like the clean look of them. The finished dimensions on this one is
6 1/2" x 8" in size. Do you have a favourite?
Also, I have a quick question for everyone. I have been very surprised by the number of emails that I have received about putting my You Tube videos on to a DVD. We have checked into doing this and a double disc DVD with roughly about 20 of my demos on the two disc set would have to retail for about £14.99. How do you feel about that? Is it still something that you would be interested in? We are of two minds about this so I thought I would ask the question to all my blog followers.
And finally, the winner of this week's Wednesday Card Giveaway is:
Alimecca!!!
Congratulations! Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize. All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue
Lovely to see something different today. The first one is not my style but the second one is lovely - I really like the butterflies with different colours peeking through
Pat x
Hi sue
Two beautiful cards but I like the second one more love the butterflies must get this die and yes a DVD would be a great idea thankyou tracyw x
Morning Sue.
Thank you, both cards are lovely, number two gets my vote. Thank you Sue a DVD would be brilliant. Thank you so much. Take care Kitty.
Two awesome cards with butterflies, love them! I love the distressed edges on first one, but second one is my favorite as different colors are peeking through the butterflies with embossed panel!
Morning Sue. These are two beautiful cards but my favourite has to be No2. I made the original one and my sister loved it so much so she had it framed and its hanging up in her bedroom. A pat on the back for me LOL. I think its a great idea for a dvd, it would go straight to the top of my big wish list. Congrats to alimecca on winning your beautiful card.
Take care everyone its still cold outside.
Best Wishes.

Hi Sue My Dear Friend,
I Love Both Cards, The First One If I Tried To Tear My Card Wouldn't Look Like This, I Love Your Butterflies.
The Second Card Is Stunning As I Love The Floral Brocade Embossing Folder, And Of Course Those Fabulous Butterflies They Look Amazing.
It's Great To See Two Cards, Double The Excitement Of Checking Out Your Work.
As For The DVD I Think It's A Good Idea.
But I Use YouTube Which I Find So Useful, And Easy To Use.
Sue Thank You For Sharing Your Cards With Us
Take Great Care Sue

Congratulations To The Winner Of Wednesday's Gift Card Giveaway.
Hugs To You All x
Morning, Sue, thanks for the two-fer. Still not too keen on the distressed edges although the colours are beautiful, so prefer the pretty second one.
As you ask re a DVD, I always save my favourite cards with the date, so can always go back to review when feeling the need! So, for me, very happy doing this - with literally dozens just a click away!!
Well done to Alison (alimecca) hope you're much better soon. No happy dance with a cracked rib, though!

Hi Sue and all
what a lovely welcome to the weekend! Both pretty cards but the second one really stands out to me.
I don't tend to keep DVD s these days and return to your blog whenever I am after inspiration
keep warm everyone
Muriel x
Hi Sue and everyone , just love butterflies they are so pretty just like your cards. I am sure DVD would be popular with lots of people x
Morning Sue, two very different cards. First one is not really my cup of tea, however, the second is beautiful. DVD is a good idea especially for those that may craft where they don't have a computer to watch you tube. Have a good weekend. Kind regards Joanne K x
Hello Sue,
Your spoiling us again!!! Two wonderful cards, second one is my favourite.
DVD sounds good, I have a previous one, often pop it on for a refresher of certain Techniques.
Have a good day
Patricia xxx
I really like the idea of the DVD, as a compilation would be useful and easy to watch.
not big on the distressed look but love this one and the butterflies are so pretty with the different colours peeking through
Butterflies always popular Sue, prefer the second one , very pretty . JJxx
Hi Sue
A two fer wow my favourite is No 2 card its so gorgeous.
The DVD is a great idea especially if you could play it on the computer and be able to work along with you.
Hugs to all

Hi Sue
Two stunning cards I love the 2nd one just slightly more, I do now and then do the torn edge.
Congratulations to the card winner.
Another cold day so stay warm and safe everyone.
Happy crafting
Love and hugs to all

Hello Sue
I love them both and have no preference either way on the DVD question. I have some DVDs but rarely look at them. Lol.

Hi Sue
Love the second card the most. The different backing colours on the butterflies is really pretty. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations to the card winner.
Hugs.
Good Morning, Sue and crafty friends. Hope everyone has a good day and all who are unwell get better soon.
Thanks, Sue for the twofer. I have your lovely Butterflies Dies and they cut beautifully, as do all of your dies.
I think, like everyone who's commented so far, I prefer card No 2.
Congratulations, Alison (Alimecca). Hope your rib heals soon.
Hugs to all,
Angela in S. Wales Xx
Love both cards but the second is my favourite. Must get that die (does the wish list ever end? (NO) But Yes to a DVD!
Very interesting cards this morning Sue.
Forgot to say, I think a DVD would prove very popular, Sue.
Angela in S. Wales Xx
Good morning Sue and everyone. Thanks for the surprise two-fer but the clean lines of the second one make it a winner for me. A DVD would be lovely, as long as it was available through places like JS and not just C&C. I might be able to free up some space on the sky box if I had a DVD!
Congratulations alimecca, I hope a card from Sue is a little pick-me-up for you. Have a great weekend everyone. Sue xxx
Lovely butterfly cards! I like the second card best though. The video sounds a wonderful idea and the price is very reasonable. So go for it Sue! Debra x
Beautiful cards again Sue, they are both scrummy, but contrary as I am the first one is my favourite!
The DVD is a good idea, and the price is reasonable.
Carolyn B
Two beautiful cards Sue, each lovely in their own way.
Congratulations Alison (Alimecca). Make do with a happy clapping of the hands, don't hurt yourself, but enjoy your card.
Happy weekend everyone.
Good morning Sue. It was a real treat to find two beautiful cards today, thank you! My favourite is the second card as I LOVE your pinpoint embossing folders and the colours are so pretty.
As a crafter, of many years, I don't feel the need to buy a 'how to' dvd but can see that for the newer crafter it would be useful. Have a great weekend.x
A two-fer = great! The first card isn't quite me but I love the second one.
Congrats to the Wednesday winner.
I think a DVD sounds like a brilliant idea especially at that price, please make it available through small craft shops even if it's online.
Michele
Love both cards today, and especially the colours on the first. I tend not to use crafting DVDs, your blog and You Tube videos are great to get inspiration and then I just go play.
beautiful cards sue, a dvd is a great idea. gets my vote.
Good morning Sue what beautiful cards I love them both but the second one is my favourite one as I made this card when you first did it. And I think the DVDs is wonderful.
Debs A
Hi Sue
Loving butterflies. 2 beautiful cards. DVD sounds like a great idea.
Both beautiful cards I can't choose between them lol.
Jane xx
Good morning Sue both of your cards are beautiful but the second has to be my favourite. I personally wouldn't want a DVD I am very happy with YouTube. Have a great day. Hugs Jackie
Hello Sue, i love both cards, but my favourite is the 2nd, having made my version of the original a couple of times. However saying that I am going to give the first one a go as it is unusual.. The dvd sounds like a good idea, especially if it has multiple techniques. Well done to Alimecca on winning the card. Have a great day. Bx
Great cards Sue, especially the second one. Thank you.Xx
Hi Sue oh a dvd just great yes please great cards and a dvd heaven l love the second card best hugs linda and lily
Morning Sue,
Love the delicate colours on first one but just not a fan of the distressed look. The second one is gorgeous, love it will be trying this one out today.
On the subject of a DVD I don't think I would use it, quite happy using you tube.
Lydia
X
Hi Sue,
I think card no. 2 gets my vote too, mainly because it's got more of those pretty butterflies and it will be months yet before the real ones are flitting about in my garden!..lol
20 demos for under £15 sounds like very good value and easy to find on a DVD...
Congrats to Alimecca...
Izzy
Good morning Sue
Two fabulous cards with number two just pushing to the top. I love the way we can put a colour under the top layer. When I cut a butterfly out using your dies I place them strategically on a piece of card so that I can use the 'waste' on another card because it leaves such a pretty aperture. The two sentiments you've used are lovely are they Creative Expresssions stamps?
The DVD is a brilliant idea and will be very popular but for me I prefer YouTube because I'm struggling with storage space.
Congratulations Alimecca
Hugs x
Heather T
Two lovely cards but no.2 is my favourite, I love it. A dvd would be a good idea
Lovely cards Sue, I must get these Butterfly dies.
I think putting your tutorials onto a DVD would be a great idea, I have tried to get your first one but nobody seems to stock it anymore
Congratulations alimecca for winning the card
Hugs to all Michelle xxxx
Morning Sue, two lovely cards, the second one is my favourite though. A DVD sounds like a good idea, especially for people who don't follow your blog but are big fans of yours! Love Jean xxxx
Good morning Sue and everyone
Second one for me today. Nice, clean and elegant lines. . .super!
Have a great day.
Ang x
Much prefer the second card, although will try the first one as it is out of my comfort zone. DVD is great idea but should you go ahead PLEASE not one that has to be linked to the internet.
Good morning Sue, my favourite is No.2, when I try the torn edge technique it can look a bit messy, obviously not getting it quite right. I think the DVD would be popular with a lot of people, personally I do what another blog member does, save my favourites to my PC with the date so a can refer back to it. Have a great weekend best wishes Edwina
Not keen on the 1st one I think I'd have to see it in real life As soon as I saw the 2nd I thought "I recognise this It had Les Papillion before" I love love love both versions Adding that piece of embossing really makes all the difference As to the dvd I probably wouldn't bother Like a couple of others I look up my favs on YouTube and/or make notes Congrats Almecci
GM Sue - no 2 is my fave - not sure about the DVD idea - can see some folks would find it useful though - personally I would rather use your online resources and spend the £s on your dies! Happy Saturday all

Hi Sue. Fabulous cards today. Love your beautiful butterflies, and especially on the second card. Think the DVD is a great idea and will appeal to lots of people and at that price is amazing value. Congrats to Alimecca for winning the card - enjoy! :-) Have a lovely day and hugs to all xxx
Hi lovely Sue. Have a good day Wilsonettes. Number two has to be my favourite as its so delicate, the tone of pastel colour's peeping through is just so pretty, and for me, out of thrm both it looks the easiest for my level of craft, plus I have that EF, and could use another SB butterfly die I have until I can save for your magical butterfly set. The sentiment comes right back to you Sue as Im not sure where I would be in life without you and particraft. No 1 is a beautiful card also, but I know I wouldnt be able to do it justice. As for the DVD... Oh YES please - ASAP Id love it and would find it more useful and helpful than you know.
Many congratulations Alison on your ein. A card to be cherished.
Mrs B Im with you. Sandra will fill you in ! Im still waiting too !!!!
To all our Wilsonettes that are unwell today I send my love and cuddles to you. To our missing family, we miss you so much please come home soon. If you are celebrating today enjoy and fun. But most of all, stay warm and as happy as possible.
Sending love to you Sue and all visiting today.
Love you.
Lancashire Steph xx
Both lovely, but the second is my favourite, love butterflies too, so am very happy today,
Doreen x
I do like cards that use different shades of the same colour however, my favourite is the butterflies.
Not sure about a DVD - I am happy with Youtube.
Anne (Northampton)
love the second card; simple and so pretty!
Hi Sue both cards are lovely today but the second one is my favourite. The sentiments on both are lovely too. Yes I'm not a fan of the distressed edge but I'm sure if we saw it in real life we would be hooked! DVD price is good but like others I refer to YouTube or back to your blog. I think it would sell though Sue as you are so popular and it would attract new followers. Have a great day love Diane G xxx
Congratulations Alison on winning the card, hope your ribs heal quickly and you feel better soon xxx
Morning Sue
Love them both but the butterflies with different colours behind is the winner
Hugs
Carol x
Morning Sue, Pam and all Wilsonettes, 2 lovely cards today, love these double offers, personally I prefer the 2nd one as it looks so delicate.
Regarding the DVD I am un decided regarding this because I would prefer it to be on you tube still and then I can check them out whenever I want, it seems a lot of expense to have them on a DVD as well, sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear.
Also congratulations to Aimilee I know you will enjoy your prize.
Have a great Saturday everyone, stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxx
Two great cards but the second wins hands down for beauty and elegance for me.
Morning Sue,
Two stunning cards with my favourite creatures on them....I love how you do the torn edges on the first card but instead of Shabby Chic when I do it mine look Shabby Awful!! The second one is my favourite though it's just so scrummy!
I think the DVD is a great idea but like some of the others I prefer to watch You tube and I always loook forward you your new videos on Tues and Thurs. Having said that it's a really good price and I'm sure that it would be one of the most popular videos in the craft world. This is why you have so many followers because of your stunning creations, the inspiration you give us and as a crafter yourself you always listen and take on board what we say or suggest no matter how busy your life is.
Congratulations on winning Sue's stunning card Alison.
Hugs to all those in need of them and hope your days get better very soon.
Love Sheila xx
two fab cards today ,second one is my favourite [lovely Spring like cards ] video is a great idea ,Laura O
Good morning Sue,
Two brilliant cards, I love butterfly's! The second one is for me, I remember it from a few years back, in fact I did make it then.
As for DVD, I'm a no, but I think crafting beginners would appreciate one. I'm quite happy using your blog and You tube. Then my limited budget can go on dies, cards etc.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Gail C x
Hi Sue. As I think I have mentioned before, I am not keen on the ripped and torn look, but I just love your butterfly card. Not sure whether I would buy a DVD as I watch all your tutorials on your blog. SueL x
Hi Sue,
Wow! I'm on cloud nine! I couldn't believe it when I saw my name had been drawn for the giveaway card! It is one of my favourites too! Thank you so much and thank you to all well wishes as well. It has certainly cheered me up.
Of today's cards, I love the second one, it looks so delicate. I have made your previous version a few times and it has always been well received. I like the first card, but I know if I tried it, the torn edges would look a mess!
I think, I would prefer to use YouTube instead if a DVD ( but, having said that, if you did the DVD, I would probably buy it!)
Hope everyone has a great day and that you all stay safe and warm. Sending special hugs to those under the weather for any reason. Love Alison xxxx
Hi Sue, firstly I like both of today's cards equally, very different in their styles but lovely non the less.
Secondly I would buy a dvd with your techniques on, so I hope enough of us will back you. Thank you for all you do.
X Ros
Hi Sus - both stunning cards, but the second one is my favourite.
I like the sentiment in the first one and must try to find this stamp. You mention you couldn't find a butterfly sentiment to go on the first card - the lovely Phill Martin does a butterfly stamp with the words 'Let Your Dreams Fly' which would fit the first card quite well.
I'm not sure I would use a DVD as I always keep a record of your cards and videos which I can refer to. However I'm sure a lot of people would welcome one. Personally I would rather buy another set of your beautiful dies. Have a lovely weekend, best wishes
YvonneMayxx
Love the second card xxx I wouldn't buy the DVD as I watch it on YouTube but it would be good as not everyone has access to YouTube
Lovely cards. I am sure a DVD of your demo's would be great for those who are not quite so computer savvy.
Good morning Sue.
I love the distressed edge look. Going to have a play with this. As you know I'm not usually a massive fan of butterflies but I really like these. I also like the embossing folder used on the second card. going to have add this one to my stash I think.
regarding the did. ... It is a good idea but like you say you already upload to YouTube which is fantastic. Would it be too much work in producing a magazine to compliment the videos Already uploaded. That way there is always reference which you can work with at your own pace rather than from memory of watching a video. Every card you put on your blog has the method you have used. I'm wondering if they could be collated into say a directory. Just a thought. I would hands down buy thIs.
Hope you don't mind me saying.
Hope you enjoy your weekend one and all.
Lots of crafty love

Two delightful very pretty cards.
A DVD would be fantastic, what a great idea.
Congratulations to Alison for winning the Wednesday giveaway. A very proud recipient I am sure.
Heather T, as you are concerned about space, have you thought about a removable hard drive? I have recently purchased two My Passport Ultra 1TB from Curry's on my grandson's advice. Now I can store all my photos, documents, Sue's card instructions and videos and not need to use up vital computer space. Job sorted.
Two weeks to go for my follow-up appt with my oncologist and everything is crossed for the all clear. Find myself tripping up though when I cross my legs as well! I'm not called nutty nanny by my grandchildren for nothing.
Hugs to all feeling down blue or under the weather.
Cheryl xxx
I do love butterflies! I have to admit, the second is my favourite card, but both are lovely. I especially love the different backing colours of the butterflies on that card.
I would love a DVD, (or even a double DVD!) of your videos Sue. :)
Paula x
Two Beautiful Cards Sue!
I love butterflies, they can be used for so many occasions. I like both of your cards today, but the second one is my favourite of the two.
As for the DVD, I'm in two minds about it, I think it's a good idea for those who don't have access to the Internet and You Tube but like many others I'm quite happy going on You Tube to watch when I want to.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
Happy Crafting!!! :) X X
Hi Sue. Great , I love your two-fer days :) Card one is very pretty but I still really struggle with the tearing. I can tear the card....sadly it looks so distressed by the time I have finished with it that it is only fit for the bin! I will keep on trying though :) The second card is one of my all time favourites since the first time you made it so it is great to see it made with your own dies. It is simply gorgeous.
A DVD would be great, for those that don't have internet access where they craft, or like me, as a quick and easy way to find a certain technique.
I would really love to have all of your different flower tutorials on one DVD in particular.
Congratulations to Alimecca, enjoy your beautiful card : )
Sending my daily hugs to everyone. Take care.
Love both cards.
Take care
Claire
Love both these cards Sue !
Re the DVD , I tend to use YouTube more now.
I have an ipad and our DVD player is very old , so not sure I would get the use of it.
I'm sure some people would though.
Have a great weekend, and thanks for the inspiration,
XxxxRuth
Good morning Sue.
Thank you for giving us a double that today. I like the first one with its lovely toned colours and torn edges and think I may have a go at it but saying that the second one is my favourite and will definitely be trying to make that one. It's simply stunning.
As to a DVD, although I think it would be a big hit with a lot of people, I also think for those of us who use I Pads and the like it wouldn't be necessary to have the DVD as well.
Alison, Congratulations, I am over the moon for you, especially as you have been unwell all week. What a pick me up!! (I am also a teeny weeny bit jealous too, as this weeks Wednesday give away was one of my absolute favourites)
Love and hugs
Saba
Hi Sue
Beautiful cards again today, my favourite has to be the First one, right up my street, only my attempts tend to look a bit scruffier than yours! Going to use the second idea for thank you cards for my daughter's birthday as I think they will be quite quick to do. I personally prefer You Tube but can see that some people would find a DVD useful.
Morning Sue, two lovely cards for us today, I think I prefer the second one, I remember the first card you did like this and have done it a few times.
A DVD would be great and at that price who would complain!
Congratulations to Alison on winning today's giveaway. Hope you feel better soon.
Take care everyone, Jess x
Hi Sue.
The cards are lovely but I do prefer the second one. A DVD would be great.
Regards,
Evis M.
Good Morning Sue,
First of all Congratulations to today's winner. Yay! a two-fer day and once again you have given us something different. Of the two I have to go for No.2 mainly because I've never been a fan of distressed edges. Thank you for sharing these and, Sue, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
Margaret A.
The second card is my favourite. DVD sounds fab Sue. x
Super butterfly cards. I do wish I could tear my card in the 'organised' fashion that you manage to do. Mine would just go all over the place.
Congrats to the winner too.
Not sure why I would want a DVD if I already have them here. It hadn't ever occurred to me.
Morning Sue, love the cards today, but I think the second one is more for me, I'm not very good at doing the torn edges, they never look like the ones u do! As for a DVD a big yes for that, I would definatly be interested. Kind regards Janet kemp xx
Hi Sue
Two beauties again today. I love them both but if I had to choose a favourite it would be number two. Regarding the DVDs - I always go to Creative Expressions on You Tube to check out all your demos. As long as they remain there for reference purposes, I think I would probably do that rather than buying a DVD. Hope this helps.
Thank you for all your inspriation.
Bye for now.
SandraP xxx
Hi Sue, Really sorry but not keen on the first one but love the second. Congratulations Alimecca.
Two lovely cards. Love the colours on the first one, although the distressed edges are not good for my OCD!!!! The second one is definitely my favourite. Think a DVD would be a fab idea. it would be easy to find the project you want without having to have to look on internet.
Luv
Karen xx
Hi Sue, two lovely cards with butterflies, what's not to like? I love the sparkly butterfly and the colours on no.1 but as you know I'm not a fan of torn edges. I well remember the original of card no. 2 and have made my own version of it but will definitely try it now with your dies.
With regard to the DVD's, I am in two minds. Because it would be yours I would want it but I am equally happy using You Tube. As others have said though, it would be great for newer crafters or for those whose internet regularly goes AWOL :-)
Congratulations Alison (Alimecca) on being the Wednesday Winner. So pleased for you and I hope you restrict the happy dance to your hands, cracked ribs are no fun.
Frances
Good morning Sue & Wilsonettes
Wow how wonderful twofer on this sunny day. I love both card's but the second one takes the edge for me as I absurlootly love Butterflys.
The first one I would never get my distressing like yours Sue.
As for the DVD I would love one on diferant technices like how many ways to use your flower's & other ways to use your die's that would be a fantastic DVD I would definitely buy that one Sue.

Lovely cards. Love the first one as I just love the shabby look. I'm so excited with the cards as I've just ordered the butterflies dies a couple of days ago!!! Premonition eh??? Lol. Cannot wait to receive my dies and replica these cards. Thank you Sue for all your awesome inspirations everyday and sharing with us.
Take care,

Hi Sue,thanks for showing two different style of cards with butterflies. The first is nice (not a fan of distressed edges) the second is gorgeous and I love it.
Hi Sue,
both cards are absolutely lovely. Mind you, one cannot go wrong with butterflies . And the colours are gorgeous, so soft - it makes me want to touch the card. But I suppose I'll have to make them myself if I want to do that.
Your torn edges are tremendous - try for the life of me, I can't get them like that.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Rose
Wow Sue simple but stunning love them both. Dvd sounds reasonably priced although i am on limited funds so wouldn't stretch to dvd at present but maybe in the future. i think it would sell well as alot of people still do not understand all the functions of the internet and youtube etc so having a dvd that can be played in your own home without the hassle of surfing the web is a good thing and doesn't need internet access either
Hello Sue,
the second card with the butterlies is my favourite. I´m very interested in a DVD and I would buy it for sure. That´s a great idea.
Have a nice Weekend
Rolf xx
Lovely cards Sue ...
Have a lovely weekend ..x
Hi Sue
Prefer the second card, I just can't do messy/grungy. I find that neat and tidy look much better.
Love Zena. X
Morning Sue
The second one is absolutely my favourite - I am afraid I a not a great fan of the tearing approach!
As to the DVD, yes I would certainly be interested in that. It would be great if it could be set out in sections, so Christmas Cards, techniques using gilding flakes etc for easy reference.
I also noticed that another of your followers suggested a magazine or similar with all your cards/make descriptions. I think that is a great idea and would be a wonderful reference tool. I don't think it needs to be too glossy so that you can minimise your production costs - maybe one a year? I know you post one every day so perhaps you could choose one or two from each month that highlighted a particular technique(s) and then a list at the back of all your dies/folders to date and where we can buy them.
Hope that's helpful.
Well done today'a winner!
I like both of the cards, the soft colours of the first and the beautiful butterflies of the second. As for a Dvd, at the moment I just look at your list and chose a card I would like to attempt to copy but a Dvd would enable me to view and craft along with you. Not much help am I!!!
Kind regards Sandra Kent.
Good morning Sue,
Love this card which could be used for many situations. One question, do you know the name of the embossing folder you used? I don't know that I have this one in my collection but would definitely buy it. could you email me the answer to my question.
Thanks
Mstgane

Morning Sue and everyone. Another pair of stunners! Love them both. Sue, I would definately buy the DVD as soon as it hit the shops - I recently had to get rid of my old VHS TV/video and so all my recordings of your C&C shows are gone too! It would be so lovely to watch you demonstrate on DVD. Love, Judy M xxx
PS I agree with CraftySueToo, please let JS retail the DVD ! Judy M xxx
PPS and a book would be fab! Judy M
I love the second butterfly card, not as keen on the first I'm afraid.
You asked about buying a DVD of your tutorials, I have to say that I see no point myself when they're available to watch already? Still, I'm sure some people will feel the need to have a hard copy.
It is another beautiful card. I am glad you revisited and old design as I only recently found your blog and am in love with both of these butterfly designs.Thank you again.
Hi Sue,
I love butterflies! Today's cards are therefore sure fire winners here! If I had to chose a favourite it would be the second one as it is so delicately pretty. I am not a fan of my torn edges! However I was thinking I might try the card but using a border die cut in three soft shades? Yes? No?
Alison - many congratulations on winning this weeks card. Hope it makes you feel a little better!
Cheryl - my fingers will be crossed for you too! Will just cross my legs when I sit down! Safer all round! x
Have a lovely weekend everyone and stay warm and safe.
Lots of love to Sue and everyone,
Myra xxx
PS. Nearly forgot about DVD! I use an IPad all the time and tend not to have DVDS s . However I can see they would be very useful for lots of people . I could watch it in my husband's study on his computer but I wouldn't be able to craft along to it! I think your price is a very fair one. Not sure if I've been any help at all.
Myra xx
two lovely cards Sue, and very simple and quick to make. I personally wouldn't have a need for a DVD, it's all on youtube for me to look at anytime I want for free.
Hello Sue and all
Lovely Cards.
I'm not normally a fan of distressed edging but I really like this one. I'm not sure if it is because of the full width horizontal use or the colour mix you have used.
The second is so pretty it looks very delicate. I like the part embossing and the colours and positioning of the butterflies. I will save and copy this for my daughters birthday later this year, I'm sure she will be blown away.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes
Hi Sue
Have pinned both of today's cards, love the colours of the first and the design of the second.
DVD sounds like a good idea although I watch all your videos on YouTube on my iPad
Alison congratulations on winning and hope your ribs heal soon
Hugs and best wishes everyone
Pat
Hi Sue,
Just me again,
I think the idea of a magazine, project book would be excellent - possibly a bit like the Creative Expression ones but not even as glossy to keep down manufacturing costs. Different techniques would be good.
Thanks again, love Alison xx
Second one for me today, first one, it's the distressed part that I am not keen on. Hazel x
Hi Sue
Two stunning butterfly cards. And Yes i would buy the DVD as i could take it anywhere with me and with the cabin having no Internet i could craft away while watching you.Something i cant do when at the cabin with no Internet and also the price that you were thinking is much less that i thought it would be. So Yes Please i would love for you do to a DVD
Take care
Hazel G XX
Hello Sue,
Des deux, je dois aller pour No.2 principalement parce que je ne ai jamais été un fan de bords en difficulté.
Nicky
I have to say my favourite is the second card , I love the texture used and oh so many butterflies!
Sheena Douglass has a stamp set called "A Little Bit Sketchy A5 Stamp Set - Butterfly Effect Stamp" with butterfly sentiments.
The ease of checking your demonstrations on the PC is better for me as PC is in the craft room so I don't think the DVD is a good idea, I would rather buy one of your dies/folders etc.
Hi Sue
I love butterflies. The number of butterfly stamps I have fill a box on their own! I have butterfly dies but not yours yet. I love both of these "quick" cards are always needed. With the 2nd card I'm sure you could do a line of your daisys or other flowers (your latest flowers would look so cute). I think either of these would make lovely cards for little girls and teens too, with an appropriate sentiment they'd work for any age.
Congratulations Alison, careful happy dance please, I'm sure this has made you feel better!
Re DVD, a lot of people have internet but while it may be fast enough to look at pages it doesn't work well for streaming videos so this would be great for them. My internet is ok for streaming sometimes... if I'm in the craft half-a-room streaming the football on sky, craftvon you tube or watching C&C and Mr.W starts looking on the net in another room it buffers like crazy- v. annoying. Mine slows in bad weather too, probably same for a lot of people too, so for me it'd be a good idea as long as you don't need the internet to watch it. I don't know if that is worked into the cost or not but that's my position. In the majority of rural areas bband is dreadful and I think those people would find a 'stand alone' dvd better too. I have a few dvds from various designers and of different crafts and I love them to work along with as I can pause to catch up, go back etc - it's how I learned to knit! I like you tube too to look up a stitch, techniques etc. I think there are lots of people who use your dies or who watch you on C&C who don't come on the blog too. I hope you do go through with it but I have no idea what I'd like to see, maybe some of your 'old' technique s from 5 plus years ago re jigged to work with your dies?
Must go, lunch is ready. Big, big hugs to everyone. Extra available if required

I love butterflies and I think no 2 is my favourite! Thanks for sharing Susan x
Good afternoon Sue and the fabulous Wilsonettes,
The first card is not me i'm afraid Sue as i can't get into this shabby fashion at all(probably due to being brought up with everything done to pristine proportions and standards) although i do like the colours that you have incorporated into the card, lovely spring or better days to come colours. The second card i just love to bits as it is so pretty. I have spent the last 10mins trying to work out how you managed to emboss diagonally (ignore me, i try to work out how you have done a card before looking at the instructions to see if i was right or not, silly i know) as i think it can be done but i will work it out eventually(probably about 4:00 am in the morning it will come to me). Thank you for giving us a twofer day as it is a welcomed surprise and i for one would be interested in your dvd, and if worked out that is working out at 75pence a lesson which is great value for money and there is no interruptions over the top of listening to you, so count me in please.
Fantastic news Alison as i know you will love your hand made gift of friendship when it arrives, but no gynastics please or the ribs will never heal. I am so happy that you have something to bring a smile to your face flower.
Well it is a beautiful day up here at the Ochil Hills with the sun shining although it is a wee bitty cold. Campbell is taking off the old back door at Mum's and having to replace all the timber that goes around it because it is rotten. The people that built it for my daddy i am getting more and more annoyed with as i think that all they were, were chanty rastlers. They haven't put any insulation inbetween the plaster board walls and the brick work of the outside, none up between the ceiling and roof space so there is damp coming in that needs to be addressed and sorted. I'm more annoyed because it took my parents along time to get anything that they needed done as they didn't approve of credit cards or such, so the money that it cost to get the two outside wee sheds/coal bunkers and passageway made part of the house took them 20years to save for it. Anyway, there is two new doors going on back and front and Campbell is just doing it himself but what a difference they will make to the place, then all i need to do is get the new windows to finish off the outside of the building. I think that mum would be pleased with what i have been getting done to the house as it will look nice when it is all done and in place. My other inside doors that have been with the carrier for over a fortnight now have been cancelled and i have asked for my money back. They have lost one of them and wont send out the rest because it would give them a double journey up from Birmingham which i can understand but they can't tell me how they are trying to sort it out and when i will get them, so that's just no use to me or anyone else.
Anyway that's my moans and groans finished with but i will wish you all a good weekend. Sending hugs to all my Angels on blog and not at the moment. To Lindsay and Lynne, i hope that you are picking up in spirit and health and that you come back home again soon,
love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil Village)
Hi Sue
First off I love both cards, but my all time favourite is No 2. I love the idea of a DVDs, as I don't know how to save your tutorials from YouTube. It would be great to sit down and what you create any time we want to. Mind you we'd need more that one of them pretty please. Congratulations to the card winner. Hugs to all in need of one today.
My favorite is no 2, just love the butterflies flying across the card

Hi Sue
Lovely cards but the second one does it for me! I would love a DVD but with different techniques not finished cards, youtube is fine for that!
Nina x
WAUW sooo beautiful work here again Sue, especially the one with the 5 butterflies are just amazing. I love butterflies and these ones are just tooo cute and beautiful in all their different colors.
About the Cd´s or DVD´s I don´t think it´s taht bad if it´s for a doublle, as that´s what most of these cost for just a single, so it sure doesn´t scare me of for sure.
Hi Sue
A different mix of card styles today & always like to see something new...
The first card is striking & like the soft pastel colours you have used & the sentiment is so personal & for that Special friend or family member I think plus with the addition of the butterfly makes for a lovely card..
The second card is so beautiful & I love it..
I love anything with butterflies & the Floral Brocade embossing folder is so pretty, I'll have to get that one for sure..
Love the style of the card & the soft pastel colours peeking through the butterflies are stunning & really finishes the card off beautifully..

Hi Sue, gorgous cards, both!!! Love the second one, particulary!! It's stunning!
Like both cards today but I have to say that the second one is my fave.
Number 2 definitely for me. I like number 1 but if I attempted it I know what it would look like!
WOW I love the bright happy colors to showcase these gorgeous butterflies. Beautiful designs, both simpler than your usual and still are quite stunning. :)
Good morning Sue, and all the ladies.
Both cards are lovely, and I really like no 1, which is a surprise because I don't usually do distressed. I think it would look great in shades of blue with a ship or lighthouse stamped for a man/boys card or Even a mermaid stamped for a girl's card.
Great idea to issue a DVD, put my name down for one. I often go back to your original DVD and use it as an aide-memoire.
Alison- great to see you've won the Wednesday card I'm chuffed for you, and hope it gives you a lift when you've been poorly, many congratulations.
Everyone, I hope you are all as well as you can be xx
Hi Sue,
Beautiful cards, My favourite is number 2, I love butterflies.
I think the DVD would be a great idea although I watch you on youtube.
Hugs to all who need one.
Love Theresa xx
Hi Sue
Butterflies always lovely, as for the DVD, it might be a good idea for those who do not have access to an computer, but personally i find it easy to either look back on your blog or go to You Tube.
Best Wishes
Julie Bee
Lovely cards once again Sue.
I too liked the second one more but that's because I like things to look neat I suppose and not distressed.
I have just purchased your camellia complete petals die and am really looking forward to using it. I may try to copy your second card but use flowers instead of butterflies.
Thanks again for sharing your talents with everyone.
Helen
Two beautiful cards today, the first one is not my sort of card but still beautiful.
The second one I absolutely love.
I think the idea for a DVD is a fantastic one as I am always flicking through youtube looking
for your demos and it would be so much easier to have a DVD to just pick up and play.
I would definitely by them.
Hi Sue, It's a two fer day - how lucky are we.
Two lovely cards love the colours you have used on the first one - But I have to say the second one is my favourite I just love Butterflies and these mounted on soft colours look so delicate. Thank you for bringing both of these gorgeous cards to us.
Congratulations Alison so pleased for you. Have a lovely weekend.
I think the DVD is a good idea Sue, I would put my name down for it.
Hope all is well with you, Love Benda xxx
Like both the cards Sue but my favorite has to be number two.
Lynne x
HYi Sue, you're spoiling us again with two cards. The first one is very interesting...I've yet to be brave enough to try distressing my cards. I think I love the second card the bes, the butterflies are such beautifully delicate pastel colours and I love the way they're all 'flying' along the edge of the embossed part of the card. As always, thanks so much for sharing with us. x
Well, my favourite is the first one. ... going against almost everyone else!
Yes my favourite embellishments are butterflies. thank you for both cards today Sue, they are great, craftihappiness to everyone and love from Macky.
Two gorgeous cards Sue! The second one was always going to win as a lot of people are not keen on distressed edges. I love the pastel colours of the butterflies, so pretty.
I am happy to watch you on YouTube and would only buy a DVD if it was like your last one with new techniques etc. I don't see the point of buying a DVD if the tutorials are on YouTube and would much prefer to buy your dies or embossing folders with the money.
Hi Sue, Two beauties but I do like the second one and I remember
the first one. A dvd would fantastic
we could just pop it in and not have to search
for the card we are looking for.
Nancyd xx
Hi Sue
I love the sentiment on the first card and the colours and embossed background on the second.
love the 2nd card. I personally would love a dvd even though I have access to youtube I much prefer a dvd that I can play and watch without being on a computer.
I think that the dvd would be a sell out.

Loving both of these Sue, the torn edges are fabulous and the layered butterflies are so gorgeous.
Hi Sue
My first comment(hope I am doing it right) I could watch you all day you have a great way of holding anyone's attention. You seem to be in a world of your own talking to yourself but we are all carried along with you.(even my husband will stop and watch a demo and he is not a crafter) You could make a bucket with a hole in the bottom interesting. I would love to see a DVD EVERY MONTH, I would have them all.... I as many others love the 2nd card the best.
Best Wishes to you and your mum
Angela - the cats mum
Particularly loved the second card but the first one would be very quick to make in a pinch. The DVD would be fantastic for times when I am NOT near an internet connection (cabin through the warmer months)or cruising. For my purposes, it would have to be a 'stand alone' and not linked to the internet. Would love the DVD's.

Hello Sue
Very simple and beautiful card. Love butterfly.
Yes, I was wishing that you load you card project in a DVD. Thank you.
To Alimecca congratulations
Good Day
I have to say that the butterfly card is my favorite!! I love to watch them in my garden and have planted many plants that attract them.
Hi Sue, I prefer the second card today, it is gorgeous, loving the differing colours showing through.
I tend to watch the Youtube videos a lot, so I don't think a DVD would be something for me, I have quite a few videos of papercrafting and I hardly look at them these days as I'm always on my laptop.
Congratulations to Alimecca, enjoy your truly beautiful card.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Love this butterfly .. xx
love 2 fer days. both pretty cards and yes the first one is more elegant.
a double dvd for £14.99 is pretty good i think, hugs xx
Hi Sue, DVD would be a great idea and the price is pitched about right. I'd buy it! Karen x
love the second card, first is not my style. As long as the videos are on youtube I prefer that above a DVD (also my new pc has no longer a DVD player.....)
I love both cards Sue, the first one is so perfect yet shabby in beautiful colours, don't think my tearing would be so good, and love butterflies full stop so the second one gets a vote for the subtle colours in the butterflies and the pretty embossing is gorgeous. Unsure about cd because we can look at your blog whenever and watch u-tube too, but if you do decide to do one I would certainly buy it just to say I have a Sue Wilson first, xx
Hi Sue, the computer gremlins are at work I think, I left a comment on the card but that's disappeared! Any way both cards lovely, but I prefere the 2nd really pretty and fresh with the pastel colours. Hugs, Karen x
Definately up for a DVD Sue, count me in, i'm not too fussed on the first card but the second one is fab as i love butterflies and put one on every chance i can,
Hugs to all Johanna

Hi Sue
Well....you can't go wrong today!! I totally adore butterflies and feel that maybe I use them a bit too much on my cards, but I can't help it, I'm just drawn to them!!! I adore both cards and will be sure to try and replicate them some time very soon!!!
Love

Hi Sue
I like both cards but especially the second one, I made one the first time around for my mums birthday, but the embossing really makes it stand out. I would gladly pay for the DVD
Take care
Eileen L
Two lovely cards Sue with the second having the edge, the butterflies are so pretty. Like many others I find I go to You Tube if I want to catch up on one of your demos, although I do have a Sue Wilson DVD in my collection! Anne x
Evening Sue and everyone!
I like the first card, look easy enough to make but as many others my ripping of the card would look nothing like your hihi,so for that reason my vote goes to the second card for I too love butterflies !
The DVD would be a great thing for some of us,especially me as reading instructions is a real problem. Step to step, slowish instructions for anything would be appreciated,thanks..
Congratulations Alison, you lucky lady !Just loll on that cloud nine no jumping around :-)
To all wilsonettes who are struggling at the moment, take care and feel better soon.To our missing lady's, we all like to see you back asap. Warm Hugs to everyone ! Maria x

Hi Sue. Two lovely cards although the second one is my favourite. Yes, yes ,yes please to a DVD of some of your demos and I would definitely buy it as although I love the YouTube videos it would be easier for me to watch and craft along with you on DVD.
Two beautiful cards - luv them both xx GailT xx
Beautiful cards both, but #2 is definitely my favourite. I don't think that £14.99 is excessive for a 20 demo DVD at all.
Hi Sue,
Fabulous cards, love them both.
Great idea concerning the DVD, good price too.We can have your inspiration in our homes whenever we want then lol!
Congratulations to Alimecca

Love the cards today Sue - is it really so long since you did the second style card?
How strange you should us e butterflies on today's cards though. It is six months today since I lost my sister to cancer and there was a butterfly in her room then and also one in church at her service so it feels a bit like a message from her in a way. 'Scuse me if this sounds odd .
My love and hugs to everyone.
Keep warm and safe.
Oh Sue I would like a DVD of your demos and just know all your friends here will think the same.

Hi Sue,
Love both the cards, I love butterflies, would love to see how you do your distressing.
If you do the DVD would you still be doing You Tube?

Hi Sue,
The second card is my favourite of the two.
A DVD is a great idea.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Sue
I Like both cards ,and I am coming around to the torn frilly edge effect. I didn't like it at first, but am definitely warming to it as some of your other cards made with this technique give a real shabby chic look. Lovely.
Alison, Congratulations on you being the lucky winner.
I spoke to Margaret Corgi owner today as she has been missing for a while on the blog world. Margaret is fine. They have had no internet for a while. The engineer is booked for Monday, so hopefully Margaret will be back on line.
Kind regards to all :-)

Hi Sue,

I would love to purchase a DVD. Please do make one!
Hi Sue,
Love the butterflies and the technique you used on both cards.
Thank you !
Forgot to say DVD will be a good idea for people to take away on their holidays when they want some inspiration when there is no internet connection. ie:- away in the caravan.
Kind regards

Both cards are lovely but I love the second one with the different colours showing through each butterfly and the embossing is beautiful. Thanks
Absolutely Fabulous cards! I just wish I knew the name of the company of all the dies you use. They are gorgeous. Thx for sharing. Hugs!

I HAVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED THE CARDS I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE FROM U TUBE OR YOUR EMAILS SO TOO LATE FOR A DVD FOR ME.

The first one is a very different card and I love the colors. The second is just so beautiful. I adore the butterflies and that embossingfolder. Wery well made cards, you're so good!!
I love the two cards and the colours but if I had to choose I would have to pick the second one. Dvd is a great idea. Hugs Heather x
Hi Sue
I love both of your cards especially the colours of the first one but I think the second card has to be my favourite.
Regarding a DVD, whilst I think it would be a good idea for some of your Wilsonettes I am happy to watch on You Tube on my Laptop or I pad.
