With Kindness

Hello my crafty friends!  Here's a card I made using my new die line.  I started by embossing the background using my Heart Lattice embossing folder.  I used the Calabria die cut out of blush card.  I scored it and cut into the centre then concertina folded it to create a fan shape for the background.  I tucked the edges under the Spanish Collection border cut out of white card.  I cut a black strip to mat it with.  In the area below the border I cut a Hollywood die from the California collection.  I cut it in half and then used the pieces offset, tucking the ends under the border.  I stamped a sentiment and cut it out with Decorative Frames Set B and inked through the die with Spun Sugar  I mounted my tag in the middle on foam pieces.  Using the Classic Rose die, I created a variety of flowers out of blush, white and black felt and added white and black flatback pearls to the centres.  I arranged the flowers across the card and the fan as embellishments.  To finish, I added two black rhinestone swirls in opposite cards.  The last step was to add my double white pierced mat layers.  Finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Lovely lovely card. Who but Sue Wilson would have though of putting these colours together and they work. My favourite things on cards are butterflies and fans, and this die makes a lovely fan shape. I collect fans and buy one from every holiday destination. Think we should designs a Wilsonettes badge,so we all can recognise each other when at shows etc.Hugs to all x x x

GM Sue - great card - this has the lot! love that delicate blush coloured card - it's lovely.

I am going to AP on Sat 12th (with the bubby) - would like to meet other Wilsonettes - I was going to wear a bow with a W badge pinned in the centre of it. Will try to make the Rubbernecker stand between 10-11 but will be dependent on those trains and whehter the queues are very long to get in - I am an AP virgin - so any tips Wilsonettes? or things I should know - hope they might have a hubby creche if he gets bored or somewhere he can go if it all gets a bit too much for him! Is food available and if so is it good? Hope there is sufficient Loos and we dont have to spend all day having to queue!!!! Any advice would be welcomed.

Hi Sue,
Beautiful! I think this is so pretty and feminine and love the colour scheme. I have just received this die so guess what I'll be trying out! Tandy and Belinda, so sorry to hear your very sad news, Pam & Tina lovely to see you today. Cameeli hope the knee is getting better and that you are not overdoing it. I'm joining the poorly knee club myself today. - went for a walk along the coast yesterday with my husband and first of all he fell over and bruised his ribs, fortunately didn't break them. About 10 minutes later I was walking over some rocks and came to a ledge over a 20 foot drop. Set off and about halfway across,my feet just went it was so slimy and slippery! I fell straight down onto my knee that I had replaced 2 years ago. Tried to get up but couldn't it was too slippery and couldn't get any purchase with my shoes. Managed to get onto my bum but every time I moved I just got closer to the edge. I was terrified! Husband couldn't get to me so he went off to get help. Came back with a tall, dark, handsome stranger who just happened to have a tow cable in his boot! 10 minutes later, I was on my feet with a very wet bum and filthy trousers. And a sore & stiff knee. Two hours later, back at home I looked at my knee - black and about 4 times the size it was after my op! I'm just praying that I haven't damaged the prosthetic!! Didn't get much sleep and although it's still stiff and bruised, at least I can bend it! That will teach me to stick to a path!! Hugs to everyone, love Alison xxx

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Ohhhhhhhh how i love todays beautiful card Sue, it is truly beautiful. Your little flower dies have made beautiful little blossoms in the felt. I got a cheap piece to try your inpiration out on of the rolled rose and it came out so pretty, it just had a couple of bits that i needed to take the scissors to, so now i can use my good stuff on projects.
Tandy, i am so sorry to hear of your cousin and on your wedding anniversary of all days, it will never be the same again. I know as my 47 year old cousin died nearly 6 years ago leaving behind 6 kiddies from the age of 6 to 18. My heartfelt thoughts and love go out to you and your family and to Belinda as well who is going through the mill. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with both ladies and their families at this awful time.
Oh Alison, i know that hubby was sore but really you didn't need to go one better just to meet a tall dark handsome stranger, i'm quite sure he would have answered to a hello. Your poor knee is going to need plenty of TLC to get to calm down again. You are a braver person than i am going that close to the edge any way. I pure custard yellow inside all the way through. The last time i went up the Wallace Monument at Causewayhead i found out i was terrified of heights and collapsed. Me and heights have now a mutual understanding, i'll got go up them and then they don't cause me to pass out, which seems fair to me. Although i would like to see the Ally Pally but i think apart from my buggy running out of steam, i think i would have run out as well long before that. All you lovely ladies that are going will just need to describe it when you have been for us, but most importantly of all, enjoy yourselves and let me know if they have a hubby creche to keep them amused in. I'm going off to Stirling to meet my dear friend for a couple of hours de-stress time. See you all tomorrow hopefully,
Love and crafty hugs to you all,
Norah (Glenochil)

Morning Sue and Wilsonettes.
Tandy and Belinda my thoughts are with you both at this sad time. Why is life so cruel to such beautiful people. Alison, oh my goodness hon, sounds like an episode of hellicopter heroes. You must have been terrified, hope there is no damage to your new knee.
Another day of wedding invites although my body is pleading with me to stop (thank goodness for morphine medicine) although I hate to admit I need it to do something I love, I sometimes wonder if non crafty people realise how long we sit/stand, cut, measure, chase after pinging jems, get stuck to card and paper, forget we have flake n glitter glue on our table and put a completed vard down on top of it ! Do these people know what we go through to try and give them pleasure !? Im only 17 but look 53 !
So I gasped when I opened your blog Sue, I so love pretty and delicate so you have made me very happy with such a beautiful delicate card today. I adore your dies and they all work so lovely together, and.I/we thank you for making them much more affordable for Mr Lanc and I as for every birthday, Christmas, Anniversary etc they shall be on my list.
Has anyone noticed Ema Lou is gracing our shores for retreats and demo days. SUNRISE crafts have all the info of dates/cost etc so if you want to see her wonderful way with flowers etc
like we all watched from the HCA show and you have the time and finances you know the site to check unless there is another site with info for you.
Id love to go to AP but distance and cost stands in my way but I hope our Wilsonettes DO meet up and have the most wonderful time EVER.
Must go... Meds calling.
Love you all.

Hi Sue. A lovely card today !! So many different dies and different elements, but they all work well and looks great together !! I can't wait to get my hands on some more of your new dies and embossing folders. I am waiting for Alley Palley now. I love the colours you have used. I would not really have thought of black, white and blush together but they look very delicate, feminine and pretty. I love the effect of the concertina Calebra die and the white layered Hollywood die. The Spanish border look beautiful and I think this may be one of the next die sets on my list !! I think this card would look equally lovely if either the Hollywood die or the Calebra die was used both sides of the border too. As always Sue, your flowers are amazing !!! Sooo Pretty !! What a beautiful card !!

Pam and Tina, sending love and hugs to you both love Tres x x x

Tandy and Belinda, I am so very sorry to hear of your sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. I hope you are ok love Tres x x x

Clare W, At Alley Palley, at the back of the hall there is a sort of large Tent or Marquee and there are lots of card demonstrations going on all day. Lots of our favourite demonstrators take it in turns to go and make cards in there including Julia and Sue so you can take some time out from looking at stalls and shopping !! There are always a lot of people around and I think the ques for food are quite long. I always take a packed lunch with me. There are tables to sit at around the sides of the hall. Not only that I would much prefer to spend all my money on craft stuff !! You can take a craft trolley too !! I usually take my packed lunch in my craft trolley, and after I have eaten it I have plenty of room to put my craft purchases in !! I hope this helps love Tres x x x

Cameeli, I will try my best to get to sue's stall rubberneckers between 10 and 11am !! Hope to see you there. Love Tres x x x

Gorgeous card, Sue, the light and shade on the concertina makes me think of a blush spring morning. So pretty. Actually, love it all!!
Shirley T - I also run through the comments later, especially if I've posted early, and am glad to see your second comment today saying dream job and enjoying it. Was wondering if it wasn't so!
A sad time for lots of our crafty family and like others, sending sympathy and hugs.
Take care everyone, lots of injuries lately - are we accident prone or what?

I love that card. Everyone seems to be sold out at the moment! Hope it comes back soon. Love the felt roses - its a gorgeous die and so easy to use.

Wow, (Alimecca) , Alison , what an ordeal. Trust you and your husband are both ok! Do hope you not damaged your knee! That's my worst nightmare as scared of heights especially if water below.

Hope everyone has a wonderful time at Ally Pally, would love to be able to go but too far and legs would not make it round a hall of the size.

Sue enjoy the show meeting your ADORING fans, you deserve their praise.

Beautiful card as usual Sue! The felt flowers are so pretty.
Alison you have been very lucky not to do too much damage to your knee. I have both hips replaced and am paranoid about walking anywhere slippy or uneven and damaging my hip replacements as a second op is never as good a result as the first. Hope the knee recovers okay and you and hubby walk on more even ground in future and maybe give up on the mountaineering and dangerous sports!!!!!!!!!!
