Hello all! It's time to give another card away! I love Wednesdays! Today's card is a kraft card creation and I was really pleased with how this one turned out! I started with the
large Polka Dot mask and placed it over a 6 inch square piece of
kraft card and embossed the pattern in it. Then, I taped it down well and sponged through the mask with
Adirondack pigment ink in Snow Cap to add colour to the embossed areas. I matted it on white card, then went to work on my focal element. I stamped the
coffee cup on to milk card. I coloured the image with
Distress markers and cut it out by hand. I stamped the image again, but this time only coloured the rose and cut it out. I mounted the rose on foam over the image on the cup for dimension. I stamped the image a third time onto kraft card and cut it out with the
Marvellous Squares. I inked through the die with
Snow cap to soften the edges then cut another matching piece to back it with out of white card. I stamped three swirls with the snow cap ink pad above the cup to look like steam rising from the cup. I tied some
Heather coloured seam binding around the card then added my focal element in the centre. I tied a messy bow and added it to the left with a bit of
natural jute twine and a burlap rose from my stash. I added two matching stick pins that I made from beads in my stash and stamped a tag with a friendly message and added it to my bow. I finished the card with mixed colour mats and an inner pierced layer. If you would like a chance to win this card, just leave a comment on the post today. A stunner, Sue. I'm so in love with the coffee cup! Fab dots on the kraft card, just everything is gorgeous. The flower is divine. Can't say much more, think you know how I feel about it!! If I win it it would have to wing its way to Australia for pride of place in my sons tea/coffee house :-)

Hello Sue. Just made today's post. So many things to love about this card - the colour combination is a wow; the big dots with the white lightening the kraft is genius; the stamp with the swirls is so effective and the bow. Well what can I say. xx Maggie (better without the bow!)

The card is beautiful. Looks so inviting...can almost smell the coffe. Love the color combination, and that burlap rose, wow, never would have thought burlap would look good as a rose. Great job!
Good morning Sue, love the card. Your snowcap seems to work very well must try it. Every other white ink I've tried never seems to show up. I like the card very much. X

Really like this card today even if it is a bit different there are still some sue wilson touches in there. Love the colours too and the rose is so sweet.
