Hello my crafty friends! I know I am not supposed to have a favourite, but this background from my Spanish collection is just lovely. I just really like the leaves around the edge, the pretty embossed detailing and the trellis in the centre, so pretty and delicate. All of the backgrounds have been designed without an outside cutting edge so you can determine just how large of a border you want to use. I cut the background out of milk coloured card. I decided to do some piercing around the edge of the border on the background then I mounted some foam around the edge to raise it for dimension. I decided to go tone on tone and used another piece of milk card behind it. I stamped my sentiment from the Creative Expressions Bold Sentiment set using the Eggplant Adirondack pad and cut it into a banner. I matted it with matching cardstock and added it across the centre of the background from the left. Using my Classic Rose dies, I made several dimensional felt flowers using the aubergine felt from our Vintage felt pack. This is a fun technique that I do show in several of the upcoming videos. I tied a messy bow out of chalk seam binding, added a bakers twine bow and seated my roses across my banner. I added some pearl piping around the edge of the border that I found on one of my craft shopping sprees in the States. I finished the card with a milk mat that I decorated with some Cosmic Shimmer PVA pearl glue dots and then a matching eggplant (aubergine) coloured mat and a final milk mat. Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Oh, yet another beauty and yes i agree that background is sublime! I love the look of the leaves around the edge too, and the fact that the backgrounds aren't cutting around the edges, means you can have it like you have done it, and like you say, have a border as wide or narrow as you like but i also like the fact that you have the option to snip around the edges, thus cutting the die out of the card too, so you have the best of both worlds without being dictated to by adding a cutting line around the outside edge, thankyou for making these dies in this way! much appreciated hugs, Vick xx
