Hugs And Kisses

Hi there everyone!  A pretty baby card for today.  I really like this one myself.  I wasn't sure where I was heading with it when I started, but I like where the journey left me.  I used Tumbled Glass on the Tied Together embossing folder and letterpressed it onto some coconut white cardby running it through the Calibur.   I cut the piece into a square, then diagonally across the centre.  I used another piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the large polka dot mask.  I cut it in half diagonally as well.  I pieced them together to form my background for the card.  It needed something more so I cut four of the Scalloped Borders using a pretty filigree insert with it.  I attached one to each side of my background so that it was just peeking out from behind and formed a nice pattern all the way around.  I stamped the sentiment from the Bundle Of Joy stamp set from Justrite in black and cut it out with the Vintage Labels 5 die.  I inked through the die with Tumbled Glass distress ink and mounted it in the centre of my card with foam piece.  I used the Vintage Floret die to make several small buds and two slightly larger roses (see tutorial at the top of my blog for the method used)  I seated the buds on a white messy bow and some pastel Bakers Twine.   The two larger flowers were seated in the opposite side of the sentiment.   I dabbed the tip of the flowers with some Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue then added Iced Snow for a bit of a twinkle on the flowers.   I finished the card with a double white pierced mat layer.  How pretty would this be for a new baby boy!  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x
7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue
Another very pretty card for us today I love the letter press technique and the background.the flower is gorgeous. Yesterday I stamped and coloured a background stamp and I've solved my colouring problem by covering it with micro beads lol. It hides all my mistakes and looked quite good I was so pleased. I forgot to congratulate all the winners yesterday. Nora hope your feeling better today.

Morning Sue
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU so very much for today's gift.
I sat yesterday for more than three hours with the ingredients of an anniversary card in front of me and just could not make them all come together. In the end I just closed all the doors and left it.
Having seen today's format I can now start afresh and perhaps get something done today.
I love the idea, the format and of course the colour -whether appropriate or not - and so will be doing a variation on a theme this morning with today's gift.
Once again a big thank you Sue.

Hi Sue. Morning beautiful Wilsonettes. Im all thawed out after yesterday, what was I thinking ? Even though it was inside, gale force 9 winds cut our legs off from the neck down ! To say I could have cried is an understatement. I should have just taken that large order Ive been screaming over and waited for the ladies arrival in the warm, it is only on from 10 - 2pm but we obviously have to set up the table and make it pretty and appealing etc but it was the longest day ever and sooo quiet, but I did sell, and I did cover the cost of the table + + (even though it was half the usual as it was a 'wash out) ! And also had an order for 10 cards ! I was frozen to the marrow, hurt all over, and very tearful, but being there helped people get what they wanted, made a few wet and cold people smile, so maybe it was worth all the discomfort after all.
I woke at 5am still uncomfortable and thinking of the next order, then dozed, and now I wonder if Im dreaming as Ive seen the most beautiful, elegant, stunning celebration card. I think any new parents need worry with this W.O.W on show it may get more attention than the newborn, in fact, I would probably sit and cuddle the card and just look at the new addition, there again Im a little strange !!! : )
It is a true beauty Sue, thank you. I sooo feel for you Janet, you did good to abandon your craft room it could have gone very wrong, but Im certain you will now make a W.O.W card under the warm helping hand of our leader, get em gal : )
Hay Patricia gal you did it : ) Just catching up with the tool shed so I cant wait to hear a family name and winner - I too will fast forward the 5pm show for my own reasons !!! But so far I should get the new baby set, the new heart set and (you teaser Mrs W) *shakes silly little useless stubly finger* you made me crick my neck twisting and turning to see THAT package in your hands : ) but Im sure I may need THAT too !
Ive board you all enough now.
Have a wonderful Monday my lovely friends.
Hugs.

Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Well what a treat we have today in our little bundle card, but we want to see the recipient of the card in all his baby grow glory. I love how your flowers and buds turnout Sue as they always look realistic in shape.
Well done our Patricia in winning a card from Julia yesterday, i hope you enjoy it when it comes as it is always nice to see how our heroes works of art are like in person.
Janet flower, you did the right thing by closing the door on something that was just tormenting instead of growing. I think we all feel like that at times even our beloved host. It makes us realise that we are all human at the end of the day. Today will be a better day for you, you'll see.
Steph, you need your Himalayan outfit on when going to the Antarctic to sell. Its going to take days for you to overcome your exploits of yesterday as we both know. Salapettes and padded anorak is the order of the day i think next time as you can take them off if too hot.
Thank you Heather, i'm better today (well this morning) and not going to be too ambitious.
Love and crafty hugs and see you all tomorrow hopefully

Hi ladies. Remember last week when I mentioned trialing my silicone jar gripper on the edge of my pricking ruler ? It works : ) Just pricked a mat and didn't have to use pressure through my painful joints and hands to steady the ruler (I obviously used Sue's tip with stick pins) but the silicone helps take off that pressure.

Sue and Wonderful Wilsonettes with painful hands that struggle with pain keeping pressure on the ruler, Im offering to send a slither of silicone I have in store to you to help you enjoy pricking you mats etc.
Sue, I heard you mention your hands were a little uncomfortable, so if there is a way of getting some to you without giving your personal details ? Id like to help you in return if you allow me to xx
Ladies If you need some let me know.
Love to ALL.
