Sparkle Every Day

Hi bloggers!  Today's card was a sort of experiment and I was really pleased with the result.  Whenever I use our Holographic Glitters, I put any leftover glitter from previous projects into a large custard cup I have and they all mix together.  I really liked the end result so I decided to use it on this card!  I cover a piece of black card with a sticky adhesive sheet, peeled the backing off and coated it with the Holographic Glitter mixture.  Next I cut a rectangular frame out of it using the Double Stitched Rectangles.  I added mounting foam to it and attached it to a piece of coconut white card.  I cut the Sparkle Every day die out of a piece of white card with the centre glittered piece from the frame below the white card.  The die only cut through the outer shape of the glittered card, but gave me a nice white copy from the top card piece.  I had to use my scissors in a couple of spots, but got the shape free.  I glued the white die cut on top and added mounting foam to it and seated it inside the rectangle frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  7 1/2" in size.

I completely forgot to mention that I will be doing a demo on Jamie Rodger's show today on Create and Craft at 4;30 UK time.  I hope you will be able to pop by then!   All for now. Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a great idea and such a lovely effect it has on this creation, could also be used coming out of a champagne bottle or something like that, yes I like that idea.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Whoa! This was an eye opener this morning. I have a little pot of excess glitter also but mine is not as pretty as yours. Great success with your mixed collection and oh course the die goes perfectly. I need that die. I got the big cake but that one would be good for just such a card.
Everybody, stay safe, happy, and crafting,

Hi Sue, I too keep all of my bits of glitter in a separate plastic box as I don't like to waste anything. However I must try using it on black card.
Your leftovers have made a stunning card!

Hi Sue

Great card and use of leftover glitters as your experiment. I’m not sure what a custard cup is though?

Being a true Yorkshire lass I hate waste and think it’s a great idea to collect and mix left over glitters into another stash.
