Miss You

Hello bloggers!  Today's card uses a brand new product from Creative Expressions that I am in love with!  Introducing the new Matt Chalk Polishes!  I embossed a piece of coconut white card with the Sublime Swirls folder and used the sponge applicator from the Custard Matt Chalk Polish over the top.  These polishes have been designed to go with our existing card colour range and have a lovely chalk finish to them.  Next I cut the Tahiti die in white twice.  I added one to the centre of the card with foam, then cut the other one in half and added it to the sides of the middle one.  I used the chalk polish and made an extra piece and cut the centre of the die out from it, the sentiment and the Striped Nasturtiums.  I added the centre section of the die cut in white and added the chalk backing to it.  The sentiment had a black shadow added to it then glued to the middle.  I made three flowers and used the outlines cut in white added over the top of the chalk bases.  The flowers were accented with Lace Edged Leaves cut in white.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/2" in size.

Some of you may have noticed that there were two card posts yesterday.  I somehow inadvertently put the wrong date on the scheduled post for the angel, which was supposed to have gone up today.  If you didn't notice it yesterday, you can scroll down to see it!   I haven't done that in ages, oh well, at least I didn't miss a day completely!  LOL  All for now. Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, don't apologise for the double entry yesterday it was lovely to see 2 creations on the same blog from you, I enjoyed it, blame it on the heat, it is sweltering here in the UK.

I am loving the chalk polish, I have some of it and it works brilliantly, as you have shown on today's sample, such a wonderful effect.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

I thought there was a conspiracy going on to make me think I'd really lost it lol. I noticed June's post regarding two cards then a few more and I didn't think of two separate posts I thought people could see two cards on one post, maybe it's because I use my phone lol not a Scooby what was going on lol then I noticed the blue square and low and behold lol. I'm so glad we're back to normal with this post after the night I've had with 4paws and the horrendous thunder storms let's say I'm just about functioning at the moment but enough to see this gorgeous sample but it deserves a closer look later xxx

Good morning Sue.
A gorgeous card and so delicate.I absolutely love it
Yesterday my head was so full of the Christening that I was going to that I didn't even notice that there were two cards. I must look to see if I commented on both or not at all.
Despite Corona, I had a lovely day.We all wore masks of course and it was strange to be brought home straight afterwards without the traditional party.
Hope you are all well.

KEEP SAFE.

Hi Sue,
This is a lovely card, with gentle colours. It's also nice to see the "old" ones being out again. You see, they never age.
And I love the nasturtiums.

Hi Sue

A beautiful card today. It’s great to see some of the older dies being used with newer products like the embossing folder and the new chalk polish. It just proves ( what we all know anyway) just how versatile and timeless your designs are.
I guessed it must have been a scheduling error yesterday, but it was great to have a ‘two-fer’!

Marie P - so glad you enjoyed the Christening, even if it was a little cut short afterwards. x

Love Helen xxx
