Many Thanks

Hi crafters!  I started with a piece of coconut white card and used Pixie powders on it, but I used Midnight Blue on the top half and Aqua Lagoon on the lower half.  I spritzed them with water then covered it with cling film and scrunched it up a bit.  I set it aside to dry overnight, then removed the cling film and the mica had dried into the creases of the cling film.  I used this piece for the background, then cut the Pansy Flower Square in white.  I cut a backing for it out of white card covered with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I attached the Pansy to it and then used some other pixie powdered pieces to paper piece it with.  I had some khaki card with Pale Olive and Spearmint powders that I used for the leaves and some darker midnight blue and Purple Violet pieces that I cut and used for the pansy.  I cut the Many Thanks in white and glued it to the upper corner and lower corner of the card. White on white mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  6 1/2" in size.

Thank you for your fantastic answers to my question yesterday.  I knew most of the songs and several were absolute favourites of mine as well!  I suppose that I should answer that question too, huh? LOL    It's quite a toss up between Wicked Games by Christ Isaac (I just love that haunting guitar sound in it) and Bittersweet Symphony by the Verve, they are the top two on my favourite play list!  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue,
I'm loving the beautiful, vibrant colours in today's card and will have to try this myself.
Your question yesterday really made me realise that, although I have a very musical son, I don't actually focus on songs and their lyrics myself;I'm probably too busy thinking about the next craft project-lol!x

Hello Sue
The background is lovely I must try it. It was interesting to read about everyone's favourite music. It was my 45th wedding anniversary yesterday and were having a late lunch in a pub after a day out and playing in the background was my favourite song. I looked at my watch and it was the time I would have been walking down the aisle

Hi Sue
Oh My Goodness - what an absolutely amazingly fabulous background. You know I am going to have to give that one a go. Anything Pixie is going to get my vote as you know but that has got my creative juices gushing!! I have got a few things planned over the next few days but my plans for the Easter weekend may have just changed. Who would have thought that a piece of cling film could get me so excited! Lol.
The Pansy Flower Square looks stunning. This card is one of my favourites - of all time - there I’ve Said it! Controversial I know but you know me!
It was really interesting reading everyone’s song choices yesterday. Everyone’s taste is so different. I couldn’t stop singing my choice - it was stuck in my head all day.
Happy Tuesday everyone

Hello Sue,

WOW! What a bright and vibrant background that you have created with the pixie powders, the best product ever developed. I love the technique with the cling wrap, it certainly gives another dimension to the background. I have just got to try it.

Have a great day.

A gorgeous card that really shows what you can do when you let your imagination fly. I don't quite 'get' the cling film so will have to find a video somewhere. The technique is certainly effective.

Hi Sue

Great card. My latest buy was some aqua lagoon pixie powder to add to my collection. So I have more inspiration now.

Enjoyed reading everyone’s song for a desert island. I have a very eclectic choice of music, so if I thought too hard I would have been overwhelmed by decision. Like both of your choices Sue, the Chris Isaac one will be in my head all day now though!

Crew Trish, Happy anniversary to you and your husband for yesterday. I hope you had a great time and enjoyed celebrating. That was spooky about the music and time. X

Love Helen xxx
