Hello crafters! We are swimming along with another mermaid card for you today! I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the 3D folder called Bubble Burst. I inked it lightly with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and then used spray glue on it, coating it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. Next I cut a multi layered frame using the Double Stitched Circles, doing a larger base frame using Aqua card and a thinner white frame on top. I added it over the bubble background and trimmed the excess card away. I cut a larger piece of coconut white card and attached the frame with foam. I cut the sentiment out of Ocean card and glued it below the frame and added random pearls around. Inside the frame, I cut various pieces of sea grass from an assortment of green card from my stash and glued them along the lower portion of the frame. From the Mermaid Kisses set, I cut the swimming mermaid out of milk card and Ocean card. I added the hair colour and some warm skin tones on the milk card. I used a clear perfect medium on the mermaid cut from the Ocean card and then embossed it with clear embossing powder for a shiny look. I nipped away that body and glued it to the milk card version. I seated her swimming through the sea grass with foam. I added a couple of fish and a seahorse from the Can't Wait To Sea You set. The card was completed with white and aqua mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now. Sue x

A fabulous card.

Hi Sue
Oh this is such a magical card. Love it. What a wonderful scene of tranquility. You have brought the mermaid to life and it is a joy to behold. The ocean card is the perfect colour for her body and by embossing it there is that subtle shimmer. (Any mermaids checking out the blog will think they are looking in the mirror)!
I am so in awe of the way you add colour to your die cut images. I don’t know how you manage to be so precise when you use a smoothie. Whenever I have attempted this method it is not pretty. Did you use the smoothie method in this card?
I am pleased to say that my boys did listen to my not so subtle hints regarding my preference to my Mother’s Day Gift. I am now the proud owner of Elsa, Matilda, and Tina. The girls are settling in nicely and hopefully we will play together very soon. I also received the Herringbone and Basketweave dies and the Petite Forget Me Nots. I am a very happy (and lucky) bunny!
I do hope everyone had a good day yesterday. I know these days can be difficult for some. Special days and anniversaries can be so incredibly hard when our loved ones are no longer with us x
I think there is a Sunny day ahead so my washing line will be busy.
Happy Monday everyone
Crafty hugs

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another beautiful mermaid sample today, I am always amazed at the detail you get on your samples, do you emboss every die as well, no I don't think you do because the dies do not need it.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Good morning Sue,
A beautiful card with lots of lovely details, a wonderful under water scene.x
I really love this die set and love your card I will probably try your technique of inking and Glitterbitz but marmaids are not any of my friends “thing” so can’t justify buying the set
Good Morning Sue. Yet another lovely ocean themed card. So so lovely. Your mermaid looks so relaxed as she is swimming g along..... she almost looks real. Well done here Sue.
Yvonne...so happy for you...getting the dies you hinted at...I am sure you will have many hours of pleasure using them. I hope all you Mothers had a lovely lovely day. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds xxx
Hi Sue - how little girls would adore this card. Although I don't have anyone to make a mermaid card for, I love seeing all the variations you come up with. Just wish the dies had been around when my granddaughters were younger. Sending best wishes

Hi Sue I love the underwater scene you have created. Those dies are all gorgeous. The added sparkle is a lovely finishing touch. Have a great week. Take care. Hugs Jackie
Hi Sue,
I really wish I was there.............. and I could have a natter with the mermaid about how she keeps her shape.
The card is BEAUTIFUL.
Hugs, Rose
Hi Sue, Love the card. love Jean Z xxx
Hi Sue. Love how you have created the watery background for this card. It looks great even on a still photograph and I can only imagine how good it looks when moving the card around.

Hello Sue
I do love these dies and hope one day to be able to buy them but my list just gets longer. Yvonne you are lucky all those dies.I have two amazing daughters but they are not crafters and so only want to buy me smelly stuff. So my reasoning is I don't need to buy any more creams and perfumes so I have more to spend on crafty things.
Hi Sue
Love your mesmerising mermaid scene, the 3D embossing folder creates a wonderful background for her
PP, your boys did you proud for Mother’s Day enjoy some crafting with those dies
Love and hugs to everyone
Pat

Stunning card! I love your underwater collection.
Thank you for sharing.

I love all your Mermaid/sea die sets and hope to get them some day. All the cards you have made are delightful. I really am not much into mermaids but your cards have drawn me in and naturally all of these sets sold out but eventually I will order. When you were on Hochanda I could only order so much and I had to get some of the Triple Layers which I love also. What can I say? I love all things "Sue Wilson"
Princess Pixie, you have your sons trained right! Congrats!
Everyone, have a good start to your week.
