Lovely card, really like it. It's very striking.
Melody, it is so hard to have to make such choices, but you and Francis have come so far. Whatever choice is made will be the best one for him. Keep strong Melody, he needs your strength right now. All our support is with you.
Tracey, hope your throat is feeling better honey, don't bottle it up, cry if you need to.

Hi Sue
Loving this card, looks so expensive with such great effects.
Jan
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a beautiful creation to greet us on this very chilly morning, such warm colours you have created with the gold flakes, having a little bit of black behind the gold on the 'Noel' really does pop it. With your permission I would like to make one similar to this at our craft club.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Morning Sue, This is gorgeous, I love how you have created this card, so effective.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Sue. A very striking card. If this was among other cards it would definitely be the one that stood out. I must have a try using sticky sheets with acetate - gilding flakes and iced snow, a sure recipe for me to get messy - I'll love it!!!
Alimecca - hope that you enjoyed your day in Edinburgh.
Tracy - hope that you managed some craft therapy, it really does make time fly.
Melody - good news on the liver results but now comes the very difficult decision. Sending healing thoughts and wishes to anyone in pain of any kind. Sue XXX
Hi Sue
Great technique today. All behind acetate - lovely!
Really good idea - but that's what you are good at Sue.
Brilliant!

Beautiful card today, must remember the techniques you have used on this one, Linda.
Wow Sue this is a stunning card. I love how you have created the background. Have a great day today. Hugs Jackie
Well, Sue, always like the darker side of things but have to say, for me, not keen on the heaviness of the black frame (sorry!) but love the background - think would have gone for a gilded frame, too.
Melody, at least Francis has a choice which has got to be good news, but now the difficult part. Wishing you all well.
Thoughts for Tracy today.
fluffycat - thanks for asking. Spice had an inoperable tumour at the base of his ear and was no longer happy, so you can guess......... Lots of tears for my ginger boy.
'P' in Wales
Morning Sue. This is a very expensive looking card. Another great technique for me to try, using the acetate with the iced snow, gilding flakes and sticky sheets. I can see some mess and great fun in my crafty room later lol. Thanks for the tip on making the frame for this card.
Take care everyone on this very cold morning.
Best Wishes.

Hi Sue,
Beautiful card. I love the background and the gilded Noel and star. I can also see this looking good with snowflakes instead of poinsettias.
Melody and Francis, thinking of you both - I know that Francis will make the choice that is right for him. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
Cheryl hope you're feeling better today xx
Tracy- it does you good to cry and I hope your throat and head are feeling better today! Sending love and hugs and lots of prayers your way xx
Lorraine and P in Wales thank you for the birthday wishes - it was my big birthday last May but we had been unable to go to Edinburgh together until yesterday for one reason or another.
We had a wonderful day - we stayed in the Old Town and went to Palace of Holyroodhouse and also the Parliament where my titanium knee set off the alarm! My only disappointment was the Blackfriars Bobby statue - so small ( but cute) and thought it would be in Blackfriars Kirk. I love the film and actually only watched it a few weeks ago. The weather was fabulous and showed Edinburgh in all of its glory - beautiful city.
Sending love and hugs to everyone especially to those in pain, having treatment or feeling down for any reason. Alison xxxxx
Hi Sue - I love this card and had completely forgotten about using the gilding flakes in this way. They look great on the acetate. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas. Best wishes

Good morning Sue,
Gorgeous card, I have gilding flakes but not done anything with them yet.
Maybe this is the time to start using them.
Best wishes to all,
Susan McG xx
Good Morning Sue, I will have to give that a go, not tried that have the crystal one so all these new ideas are brilliant. Stunning card love it. hugs Shirleyxxxxx
The instructions for making this card are going to have to be perused more than once as there are some techniques that are well worth trying. I too would never have thought to use gilded card to cut out embellishments - not surprising really as I don't have a lot of crafty imagination. The background is beautiful. I would prefer a less heavy black frame but overall, this card is as as beautiful as any I would expect from you. Thank you.
Wow Sue, stunning card love it
Beautiful Card that someone lucky will receive xx
Morning Sue,
Wednesday's giveaway is stunning, love that are so many techniques to try and textures to get messy with.
And the tip on how to make your frame is so simple, I got one of those 'Doh, why I didn't I think of that?' moments. I actually scrapped a card front frame because I didn't have a die set with the exact size that I needed.
Warm thoughts and prayers for Melody,Francis and Tracy in their forthcoming health plans. Whenever you are feeling down, there are many shoulders to cry on and hands to lift and carry you in this wonderful Wilsonette family to help lighten your burden. God Bless you all.
Alimecca, thank you for thinking of me yesterday, I am feeling so much brighter today and I am so very pleased you had a wonderful time in Edinburgh. I too watched the Blackfriars Bobby film, although my viewing was many years ago, I still remember the little dog's love for his master.
Love & hugs to one and all

Ooh this is a fun card. I watched u do this one already. Looks way messy with those pesky flakes that I canny seem to use lol they get bloomin everywhere!!
Still feeling yucky will mention this at hospital maybe they will give me something to shift it. On abetted one feel much better with the sleep.
Didn't get to crafting yesterday. As it was so georgeous outside I just pottered about in the garden. It's so nice there now it's been straightened out. Lots of quietness apart from birds tweeting lovely.
Thank u all for ur comments and well wishes there are so many names I'd be here most of day putting them on but u know who u are.
Allison glad u had a fab day in Edinburgh. The weather was georgeous this side is Scotland yesterday.
Lorraine Eastwood. The way you use ur words when leaving comments has me laughing an that's what I've been needing. The banter between u and the other lady canny remember her name but she lives near the CE towers. I think it's Mrs beal OMG u have me in stitches.
Now if I'm having surgery soon I can't afford to be popping any of these so might have to by pass ur comments quickly!! Lol
Love an hugs to all that need them xx
Hi Sue. The first picture of your card looked lovely but when you showed the closeup of the gilding flakes, wow gorgeous. SueL x

Hello Sue,

Hello Sue & WW!
Beautiful card today (aren't they always?)! I have to say it wasn't until I looked at the close ups that I really grasped it's beauty! I look forward to reading the instructions when I have more time.
Speaking of not having enough time, I miss "my peeps" - (not talking about the sugary/marshmellowy Easter treats lol). I mean all the wonderful Wilsonettes! I haven't had a chance to catch up with the cards, videos or comments and I think I'm going through withdrawal :-(
I think of you often and have things I want to chat about, but the days have slipped by at frightening speed. I can't remember which of you clever ladies of the blog asked first- but has anyone found the item number at Joanna Sheen for more crafting time or more hours in the day? Lol, If so, please let me know!
I really hope I can catch up soon-miss you all!
Oh just realized it is Wednesday Weekly card give away, since I haven't been able to comment for several days I wouldn't feel right about being put in the drawing. I just wanted to check in and say "hi"!

Hi Sue,
Just me again with a message for P in Wales if that's ok. So sorry to hear about your dear cat. I know exactly how you feel. My little one is sat on my knee as I type this and I dread to think of the time she won't be here. Sending special hugs, love Alison xx
Good morning! Wow, another stunning card...that background is simply gorgeous. There are not enough hours in the day or days in the week for me to try all of your fabulous techniques, but I'll try!
Melody - whatever decision Francis makes, it will be the right one. Sendings hugs.
Tracy - thinking of you today and I'm glad you were able to spend some lovely time in the garden.
Laine - it sounds like your uncle is feeling a little better.
P in Wales - so sorry about your Spice. You must be heartbroken.
Alison - it sounds like you had a lovely day Edinburgh. I would love to go there.
Yvonne - I hope you're ok.
Rebecca - I was worried about you and was so happy to see that you commented today. I would love that product number also.
Have a beautiful day everyone!
Stunning card Sue. I saw your demo on tv and you made it look so easy. I've had to stop crafting for a while. My husband is re-fitting my craft room to make better use of the space. My job is to sort through my stuff and get rid of items I don't use. Not an easy task. LOL
Annie P xx
Hi Sue & All The Wilsonettes, I hope you are all well & enjoying good weather, wherever you live? It is a lovely day here in Rosemarket (near Milford Haven), for a change! I am hoping to go & buy some more crafting goodies, thtis afternoon, to enhance the beautiful cards I am making with Sue Wilson's dies! HEHE! Today's card is absolutely stunning, as usual, Sue! It looks so clean & the colour combo makes it look so elegant! I love the way you've used the two colours on the sentiment! I would love to be in with the chance of winning a card like this! Take care everyone! With Love, from Mary Blight XXX
Hello Sue,
Another stunning card today! Finishing touches don't have to be finishing touches! You are soo good at making us think outside the box!
I have been doing lots of cutting - now for Assembly - I'm making it sound like a car factory! Lol.
I love how you have used the poinsettias! May need to cut a few more!
Tracey - I'm glad you had a bit of a giggle! You need that! Thinking of you .
Melody - What a choice but at least there is a choice! I'm sure Francis will do what he feels is best. God bless you all at this difficult time.
Alison - I too love Edinburgh ! I didn't love the Scottish Parliament building . I thought it was a real shame to put that across from Holyrood!! I'm an exiled Scot as you know , maybe after that remark I'd better stay in exile! Lol.
Laine - I too, thought your cat was a dog! It was the lead that confused me! At my age it doesn't take much, you know!
Take care everyone.
Lots of love,
Myra xxx

Hi Sue, it is a beautiful card. You never fail to come up with something inspiring. For me it's not just looking at the card and considering whether I like it or not. It's also about the abundance of learning you provide. Showing us techniques we haven't been introduced to before and making us think outside the box so that we can apply these new skills to our own projects. Thank you. Your generosity is very much appreciated.

Simply beautiful . I think Iced Snow is the best sparkle ever. I only have a small pot but am going to treat myself to a big one. Lots needed for Christmas cards!

Hi Sue, I love the way you have created the background and I agree with others that a blue/silver/snowflake theme would be great also. You see how you inspire us :-)
'P' in Wales - so, so sorry for you. Tears are essential, been there etc so many times but you have to take comfort in knowing that you have done the best by Spice. My old boy is 22 now and has a heart murmur and dementia so I know that I too will have to make the decision in the not too distant future. Extra hugs for you today.
Frances
Hi Sue,

Good evening, Sue and Wilsonettes, hope you've all had a good day.
This card is very different, but a clever design. I don't really like such a big black frame though, sorry.
I unfortunately missed your last shows, when you demoed this, Sue as I was away.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!
You are an absolute gem dear Sue, you've designed yet another card specifically to co ordinate with my craftroom:-) It's got a black, cream, gold and silver roller blind, black desk&units and black/cream gloss sliding doors so this little beauty would look perfect on my wall, what do you say?:-)
But seriously, I love the colour palette and design of this stunning creation, I can't get enough of your Christmas cards right now, particularly when the festive season is fast approaching...too fast! I am definitely going to give this technique a try, it's gorgeous- and I agree that exchanging the poinsettias for snowflakes would be equally effective. I really like the black frame, it works well with the metallics but then I'm slightly bias given that it matches aforementioned craftroom!
I had the pleasure of another parcel today, this time from Julia Watts my one stop shop for CE essentials. I stocked up on some card, 3D foam, acetate(because you've used it a lot in your cards lately), and a couple of EFs. My friend is coming over tomorrow for a craft afternoon and I'm going to teach her how to create one of your fabulous Christmas cards...with the help of one of your videos of course!
I can't wait to get started but choosing which one of your works of art to recreate is a real problem, I love so many and I don't want to scare her off with anything too challenging. You make everything look so easy but whether I can translate your vision adequately remains to be seen. Breaking news though!..my Mum has agreed to make a card too!!??! I can't believe it! Maybe if I convert her to the dark side she may not mind so much that I've just placed another massive order with Icon.co.uk....I doubt it though:-( I thought about using Beth's hat idea to choose but that was just too random, so I decided to compromise and get a few of the newest release as well as a few more Christmas dies...my bank manager is seething, my credit card is in intensive care and I am soon to follow in a few days when the package arrives and I have to explain it to my Mum:-0.....
Julie, I've been thinking of you a lot today- I sincerely hope your appointment went as well as can be expected under the circumstances. I'm chuffed that I managed to make you smile because in my experience, it can be the best medicine. Beth is indeed a hoot, I love her anecdotes and crazy humour, it complements my own. This is a wonderful blog for meeting so many varied people, I love sharing our daily lives with such caring, empathic ladies, you laugh together and support each other and it is fantastic to behold. I hope that we can all put a smile on your face on those down days when life seems insurmountable as well as share your successes through your treatment dear Julie.xxx
'P', I share your sadness at losing Spice because our babies become valued, much loved family members and parting with them is unbearable. Darceys brother Byron was a big ginger boy so I am quite partial to them too. I lost him in a car accident and the pain of it never goes away...it's why I take Brodie out on a lead....but you did your best for Spice and maybe you can find comfort in the knowledge that he is now pain free and at peacexxx
Melody, I know the decision Francis is facing is frightening, but I am glad that he has a choice and I am sure that he will do what is right for him and all of his loved ones. I hope that you can find some comfort in our love and supportxxx
Yeah, the Apprentice is starting! I love it! Enjoy your evening my lovelies....

Hello Sue,
Fabulous card. I love the background you have created with your iced snow and gilded poinsettias. I don't get on so well with the iced snow I'm afraid but can appreciate its beauty. I rather like the black frame, feel it adds drama. Hope you are having a lovely time with your mum, say hello to her please.
Melody, I hope you and Fracis can find the answers you need to help you make this difficult decision.
Tracy you are being thought of, hope it helps
CX Cowgirl hope Greg and your daughter are coping.
P in Wales, so sad for you loosing Spice, animals are so special and it's heartbreaking when we loose them.
Love and hugs for all

Love this technique Sue, how do you come up with all these ideas, just wish I had your imagination! Must give this a go & also like the idea of doing this with a snowflake die. Good luck everyone in the draw. Hope all is going well Tracey, thinking of you. Feel for you & your family Melody, not an easy choice for Francis, my thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.

The background on this card is stunning! I love the poinsettias cut from the guilding flakes what a wonderful way to spice things up!
Thought I had already commented today but if I did it has gone into cyberspace. Lovely card Sue. Like the idea.
Hi Sue
I love it, snowflakes are on the list (I have the Spellbinders poinsettia but it's not as nice as yours) so I could do a version of it, or I guess the poinettia stamp could be used at a push. It's such a lovely card and I might well try it out.
Tracy, I hope today went well for you, hope, hugs and positive thoughts your way xxx
P in Wales, so sorry to hear about Spice. I be utterly lost without my Billy. Our pets are so special to us, hugs xxx
Alimecca, glad you had a lovely time in Edinburgh, I've always wanted to go there. Happy belated birthday, sorry I missed the day xx
Melody, I'm so, so pleased Francis has a choice. Choice gives you control but I know this will be a tough decision for him, for you both. Sending hope, hugs and positive thoughts your way and a big hug for Molly, tell her I'm thinking of her too please xxx
Txcowgirl, thinking of you and your family, sending hope, hugs and positive thoughts xxx
Beth, how true... spent very well over £40 end of last month just buying bits, you know, texture paste, glue, card etc. You use the same places I do ;-) I'd better get in quick before they're out of stock lol
Rebecca in CO, Nice to see you back, I've missed your posts ;-) I have the time.. too much of it as too tired for pretty much anything at the minute. Hey, I wonder if Creative Expressions do bottles of the endless energy that Sue, Julia and John seem to have. Seriously, whatever they're on I want some! (especially if it's cake!) Do you want to do a swap, I'll give you some extra time in exchange for some energy to craft! Between us we'd be unstoppable! Hugs xxx
Before I start the craft version of "Crossroad" (the film, based on the legend of Robert Johnson, not that awful 80s daytime soap) with Rebecca I'm going to go to bed. I've been awake for most of the last 12 hours and pleased I got a couple of boring admin-y jobs today, 2nd time in a week! Hoping I'm not about to start a mad hyper and be awake for 40 odd hours so going to grab a cup of chamomile tea before I get under the quilt. Cleaner and PA here tomorrow which wipes me out (cleaner needed to reschedule). Hoping with everything crossed I'll be able to nip by as I want to check up on a few of you and make sure you're ok. If I do, forgive a potentially short message please as last time I had both the help visiting in one day I spent 4 days in bed. Makes me sound so antisocial that having people here exhausts me , both are lovely people, I'm pretty lucky, and yes, I'm trying to turn themm to the dark side of dies being more important than handbags or shoes!
Wishing each of you a Terrific Thursday, with hugs for all, there's plenty there if you need another one! Until I'm back again...

Hi sue
What a beautiful card. You could use the snowflake die for this also.
I think I will try this out.
Thanks for all you fabulous ideas.
Liz xx

What a great idea! It's a lovely card Sue, I do wish I knew where you get your inspiration from!! :) But you're kind enough to tell us all how to do these things so I can't complain at all.

Yes! If only we could buy energy (not of the caffeinated variety - but of the true healthy form) wouldn't it be lovely?! I'm afraid I'm short on that as well as time, but perhaps if I had more time, I'd have more energy! Then we could combine forces and be a crafting force to reckon with!
Are you talking about Robert Johnson the Delta Blues musician? I haven't seen that movie (Crossroads). I am a huge blues fan and his work (only about 21 songs if I remember right) is some of my favorite!!! Enjoy!
Oh I'm so sorry for your loss of Spice :( as others have said, it's so difficult losing them. When I'm going thru that, I wonder if it's worth having them in our lives because the pain is so bad when they leave us...I always decide the good out weighs the bad. But that doesn't help when you are in the midst of the bad. Xx
I'll keep looking for that item number too, and the one for energy, and creativity etc :) xx Rebecca
Thanks for thinking of me! I couldn't resist popping back in (albeit a day later). Once again I'm sacrificing sleep, but a girl has got to have fun sometimes! Rebecca
Wait, what do you mean by "the craft version" of the film? Rebecca
