Kind Thanks

Hi crafters!  It's New York, New York all the way here, specifically Times Square and Madison Square!  Using Sky Blue card, I cut the background base using the largest die in the Times Square set. I cut four corners and two borders (which I cut up) and arranged them around the outside of the square  and attached them.  I cut the decorative die in the Madison Square next to layer up in the centre of my card.  I cut the smaller square in sky blue and used the decorative piece inside of it, which I inlaid back into the square after cutting with a piece of white card behind it.  Using the Classic Rose die, I cut several out of matching blue felt and made two roses.  I seated them with some white tulle, leaves and stick pins that I made to match.  I stamped my sentiment (Bold Sentiments from Creative Expressions) on vellum and heat embossed it in white.  I cut it into a flag strip and mounted it across my card, tucking the end under my flowers.  I finished the card with a white pierced mat, a thin sky blue mat and a final white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are  7 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size.  This one just makes me smile, I hope you like it too.  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card, Sue, love the use of the corners and border to make the decorative edges outside the frame. Beautiful embellishment with the flowers and stickpins too.
Sorry, yesterday got the Austrian and Scandinavian muddled - do like all the background dies but need more 'real life' experience of them, that's for sure!

morning Sue
Today's gift certainly makes me smile. I love love love your colour palette and your New York dies are just the thing to work with. It's the square die that I decided to go for in your last launch and I'm so pleased I did. Your stick pins are always a delight and today's are no exception. I shall definitely be trying out today's gift as I just know the lady who will really appreciate receiving a gift like this.

Cameeli - I can feel your excitement mounting just waiting for your small bundle to arrive. Babies always arrive when they want to so fingers crossed it will be soon. Hope you have a reasonable start to your working week.
Norah - I'm thinking of you and looking forward to your return home.
To all my Friends who are thinking of arriving here using their 'Scooters' we shall have a really warm welcome waiting for you all and arrangements are being made for garaging your vehicles. I'm so looking forward to you all arriving. (Oh some-one has just prodded me and I've woken up from my lovely Crafting Dream!!!!). I would just love to see the Toll Booths on the French motorway if a line of Crafting Ladies on their Scooters arrived. You would certainly make the national newspapers!!

Dark and Foggy here this morning and of course everyone here are back at work.

To all in pain or suffering I hope things get better soon. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Good Morning Sue & Friends,
Today is definitely a WOW day!
Totally stunning card from one set of dies, just WOW !
I am going to have to buy this set, I was undecided which of The New York collection to go with, I love the little rope detail around the edge of this die, to continue the theme Sue, you really did.......Do it Your Way! Haha hugs xxx
Cameeli, good for you girl , back on diet and going to the gym, you will be such a healthy Grandma! Hugs xxx
June, hope your son is a feeling a little better today xx
Janet I will be checking back for today's episode of " life in Burgundy" can't wait, Paul bought mr a Belgian Bun yesterday (knowing Paul it was reduced) , I Said to him I am going to save it to read Janet's post with tomorrow, so I can feel like I am there wih you, although I don't thing it will be the same sitting In front of the Gas Cooker! Why don't married quarters have log burners! Haha, hope you are both well xxx
Steph, I had to laugh last night Paul came down from utility room with one of the tiniest of Sue's Camelia dies in his hand, he said he was hoovering around where he had just put new kitty litter into their clean tray and found the die, now wether the kittens took it or it was carried in my clothes I do not know, it has now been anti bacteria soaped and put back in it's place, I must buy more magnetic sheets! It's not just you don't worry! Hope you are well xxxx
Norah, is it all back to normal in your house this week (back to work and school), I hope you are braver than me, my tummy is churning this morning, I do hate 'an empty nest'! Hope you are ok xxxxx
Well I must get up and see these girls are ready for school, I like to make sure they eat breakfast , I think I can be a bit over protective at times!
Crafty hugs to all I haven't mentioned too,
Sandra

Morning Sue, and all lovely Wilsonettes. Its all back to normal from today and time to take down the tree and garland from the fireplace (but my red and white Christmas card will be on show all year in my 'den') my Wednesday give away has pride of place along with my other Wilsonette cards Ive been lucky enough to receive.
This set of dies was sitting at my side Cmas day and its SO pretty, its delicate, and looks really beautiful with its frilly edges, although Im having cutting problems with the largest square so not sure what to do.
Id certainly say if you wasn't lucky enough to receive this as a gift its well worth treating yourself, you wont be disapointed. This is a beautiful gift today and I adore the colour scheme used, certainly brightens up our dark winter morning.
From 5.20pm yesterday evening to 6.25 I sat poking out the white Scandinavian background that I cut to layer into the baby blue background Id cut earlier, my back was humming, my shoulder's were burning and finger's went into spasm LOL... Yes I gave yesterdays card a try in different colour's, can you just imagin those teeny weeny pin head size bits from the die co-operating with my stupid stubby numb little index finger, they were pinging round my little laptray, impossible to find when my specs keep falling down my nose LOL, was it a scrap tiny piece of card or part of the design ? Yep, it fits must belong in that
tiny triangle just there LOL... But it looked so pretty once id finished and I was SO grateful for the rice heat pack Margaret Corgie owner sent last year, dont let MY discomfort put anyone off trying it, its really worth doing, Im 'odd' anyway which is why I was uncomfortable doing it, and it WONT stop me doing it again thats for sure.
So thats it from me - for now, so Janet, hope you get some artisanant in today whilst waiting for the scooters to turn up lol and Cameli that phone will be ready to ring in the early hour's as that is babies way to prepare mom and dad for ALL the lost night sleep from here on lol you must be on tender hooks, hope its a short labour or you'll be ready to explode (hope all goes well)
To our wonderful Wilsonettes struggling I wish for you a restful warm day, no one deserves the pain you feel for whatever reason.
Thinking of you all today and enjoy your day whatever your plans.
Love you.
Lancashire Steph xx

I was very lucky to win the Herald Square die set in your last launch giveaway and my husband bought me the rest of the sets for christmas so i can have a nice play today. The colours are beautiful clean and fresh. Loving the felt flowers must give these another go as my last try was a disaster as everything was glued evan my fingers lol and then you have finished your card with your fantastic stick pins. That is my goal this year is to try and make my own stick pins. Wish me luck and keep your fingers crossed.

Good morning Sue,
Well you have convinced me. I have to get the Times Square die set. I opted for the Union Square at the launch (which I love) but having seen this stunning card now realise I NEED Times Square!!! Everything about this card makes me smile I love it to bits. Definitely one to pin, and on that note-:

Pam Pinterest can be a bit tricky at first, here's what I do.
Open up the Pinterest app and go to the folder you have created for Sue's cards.
Click on one othe cards you have already pinned and then click on the picture of it, this will then open up Particraft on the actual card you have already pinned.
Next, click on the Particraft logo at the top of that page and it will take you to today's card.
When you then hit the pin button, it shows all the pictures for today and the last few days, click on the image you want to pin and it then will ask you which folder you want to pin it to, choose your folder from the list of your existing ones and Voila it will save you pin to that folder.
Hope that explains it in an understandable way and it helps you pin all so Sue's beautiful creations.

Cameeli, many congratulations on the safe arrival of your first Grandchild, be prepared for your heart to do somersaults when you see him, it's the best feeling in the world.

Good Morning Sue, another wonderful card for us today. I think I've fallen in love with the felt roses and would love to have a try at making some of those. Is it easy to cut felt with dies? It's something I've not tried yet. I tried foam once and didn't like the result I got lol. Anyway, back to the card...the blue background is a nice shade, just a tad darker than baby blue. The way you cut apart the dies for extra decoration always amazes me. I would never have thought of chopping up die-cuts. The pins are too delightful for words, I must get some myself :). As always, thanks so much for sharing with us. x

CAMEELI - congratulations!! Wonderful news that you have a new grandson - and born on the centenary of my late lovely mum's birth. If only..... Her next older sister is well over 102 now and will be very aware of the date and thinking of her today, too. Still very much missed.
Hope your little man has a long and happy life ahead of him.

Hi Sue, a really beautiful card and I am lucky as it is showing in most of the pictures as a light aqua colour and then a couple in sky blue so I can already see it made in another colour.
Spent most of the morning taking down the decorations and having a good clean-up. It seems to take longer every year but I am actually putting up less each time, must be an age thing lol.
Cameeli - congratulations on the safe arrival of your grandson. I bet you are looking forward to those first cuddles.

Hi Sue

Another beautiful & stunning card for todays perusal..

Love the colour & the Times Square dies are so pretty & as you have shown you can cut & change die cuts to create new & exciting effects for your cards.

Especially am a fan of all your pretty stick pins you make & must have a go at making some as they just seem to put that little finishing touch to every card to make them more special I think..
