You Are Pretty Amazing

Hello bloggers!  As I have been looking through the files of cards recently, I noticed that I hadn't posted this card except for the actual die launch sneak peek awhile back.  I thought I should get it in before the end of the year, complete with full instructions!  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card using the Quilted Flower embossing folder.  I cut a small strip of it and matted it with teal card to use as a border on the lower portion of my card.  I also made a 3D bow using the Mosaic Bow die set and coconut white card.  I attached the bow in the centre of the border strip.  For my focal element, I cut the Auvergne die in white using the smaller outer cutting edge and the decorative insert piece.  I cut a backing piece for it out of teal card using just the larger outer cutting edge.  I added mounting foam on to the decorative white piece and mounted it over the teal piece so that the teal edge showed all the way around.  I added this piece above my border as the base to my focal element.  I stamped my sentiment in black and cut it out with the tag from the Austrian Collection.  Before removing it from the die, I inked it with Peacock Feathers distress ink.  I placed it in the centre with mounting foam.  Using the Delicate Daisies Open die set and Complete die sets, I made several flowers out of white and teal card by layering up the two styles.  I added an 8mm white pearl to the centres and attached the to my focal element with glue dots.  I completed the card with a white mat with Cosmic Shimmer white PVA glue dots all the way around, then a thin teal mat and a final white mat.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9" in size.
I hope that I'll see you back tomorrow for my traditional New Year's Eve post.  It always gets loads of varying comments!  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue and all Wilsonettes. This sentiment comes back to you Sue, for giving us the most amazing blog, for all you do for us, and being there to help, advise and tutor us. Its been my first year at Particraft and the best year Ive had for a long time, I have a reason to get up these mornings. Im with our Sam, lets not just pop in, it means so much to say "thank you"
I just love every detail on this card, who would have thought that a plain peice of cardstock could turn into a work of art, but that is what you do, your dies and embossing folders are all so beautiful. I cant wait to spend my birthday/Christmas money on your new dies when our shop re-opens.
I adore using your daisy dies, it makes such a difference to any card and has been used lovingly on most female cards, so im looking forward to buying my open petal die to go with my new complete petal camellia die set, its amazing and oh so clever how the open petal transforms such a neat little flower.
I, being an airhead and total numpty cannot remember last New Year post, and wont look back, so am looking forward to tomorrow's last post of 2014.
Whatever your plans for the day my friends stay warm, safe, and as happy as life allows.
Love you.

morning Sue
Today I'm turning your sentiment back to you - it's YOU who are truly amazing!!!!
I know it's been said before but how you manage to produce gifts each day and all different I just cannot imagine. Your inspiration and support have kept me and I know all your blog family fed and watered all 2014 as well as your other families. I truly would not be a crafter if it weren't for you. So a very large in fact xxxxlarge thank you from me.

Today's gift is beautiful. I'm still in love with white/white and a little pop of colour so it's definitely in my 'to do' file and of course using your French collection how could you fail.

I have to now start on February bday cards today so today's gift has just the right inspiration for me to start.

We were very fortunate in travelling on Boxing Day so were on our way down to Burgundy when the port was closed and as we're in the middle of France we haven't been hit yet by all the snow. We've just a slight covering this morning but it's well below freezing so log burner is going at full and it's going to be beef stew for today.
Mr E is out fetching breakfast bread etc and having to take it very carefully as the roads are very icy.

I hope everyone is managing to keep warm with all that snow about and managing to get some rest before the NY celebrations.

To all under the weather and feeling poorly I hope you feel better soon. To everyone please take great care and stay safe.
See you tomorrow.
Janet x

Good morning Sue and Wilsonettes,
Thank you Sue for all the beautiful and stunning cards that you have shown to us this last wee while. I know that i for one am extremely grateful for all the beauty that you have brought into my life with your WOW's as they truely are, each and every one of them a wonder of wilson.
To all the Angels that have had me in their hearts and minds, thank you. You are truely the most beautiful of friends each and everyone of you and i can't thank you enough for your kindness. I have one more hurdle to get over on Saturday and hopefully i will begin to get back to normal. My mum's best friend gave way to her cancer on Christmas Eve so i have her funeral to go to before i can even try and get back to normal. She was one of aunties that you adopt when you are small that are never really yours, but mean the world to you, well Auntie Jean was that to me. Occassionally in this life you are blessed to meet special people and she was one of those, so please forgive my not being around the now, but i will be back very soon.
Love and crafty hugs to all my Angels, my friends and anyone else that needs a hug.

Hi Sue, I know it has been said before - many times, but I'm going to say it again - this sentiment goes back to you Sue. You really have been my inspiration, it was 2003 and was making cards - they were okay - then I meet you at Ally Pally - and wow I was suddley on a journey.................. you have taught me many techniques and given me so much inspiration, and another bonus I have so many friends (or as Norah would say angels) from this blog. I just want to say BIG thank U - LOL.
Love today's card, almost white with a lovely hint of teal, I think it's very classy

Take care, love Brenda xxx

NORAH - it has made my day seeing your name back on the blog. Sorry to hear about your "special auntie". Stay strong, and come back when some of the pain has eased. love and prayers

Crafty Sue, hope all is well with your mum.
