Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi blog friends!  This is probably the last chance to use a Christmas card for my Wednesday card giveaway so I thought I would take advantage of that!  If you would like to be entered in the drawing to win this one, just leave me a comment.  I started with a piece of Ruby red card and embossed it with the Nordic Trees embossing folder.  I ran a line of dries clear glue around the edge and then dusted it  with Iced Snow and set it aside to dry for a few minutes.  Using vellum, I stamped the Striped Poinsettia in clear perfect medium.  I heat embossed the pieces with True White embossing powder and then cut them out with the matching Classic Poinsettia dies.  I assembled the pieces to create two poinsettias, one slightly larger than the other and added pearls to both centres.  I stamped my sentiment on to white card using a Clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed it with Silver Shine embossing powder and cut the sentiment into a strip.  I dusted the edges with Iced Snow in the same fashion as the background.  Once all the pieces were dry, I assembled them and added a few Holly sprays cut out of white card as embellishments.  I completed the card with a white pierced mat layer, then a thin red mat and a final white mat in my usual style.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 1/2" in size.   I hope you like it!  All for now, Sue x

Today's gift certainly woke me up this morning. There's nothing retiring about it and it certainly makes a statement. The only thing I would change a little is the intensity of the red but other than that it's a beautiful gift and my dedicated space to a 'Sue Wilson piece of Artwork' is dusted off just in case.

Well Knit and Natter was a lovely afternoon. Crafting with friends around you is just lovely and I wish that we all lived close enough to have a 'craft session' together. Oh can you just imagine how that would feel.
Should be going to hospital to see a Clinical Technician who would show me how to use a Tens Machine safely etc but just before I left the house yesterday afternoon a phone call came to say they were having to cancel my apptment as 'he was off work' and could not give me another apptment until the middle of January. I've already been waiting for two months to get some other form of pain relief and now I'm expected to wait up to another two before something can be done. Anyway we decided that I'm going to buy a machine and see how I get on. The only thing I can say is 'I wonder how they would feel if they were in chronic pain every day'.
Have a bday card to make for my son-in-law and then hopefully can start clearing my Christmas crafting until next year.

To all under the weather hoping you feel better soon. To everyone if going out please please take great care and stay safe in these horrible high winds etc. See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue,
Fabulous card today. Love the colours and the poinsettia is beautiful.
Tandy, great news, I'm really pleased for you. TOB Theresa really pleased for your daughter, tell her congratulations from me. Nana Tna, so glad the op went well. Cheryl keep strong you're almost there. Janet, sorry to hear they cancelled your appointment. I bought my own Tens machine from Lloyds pharmacy and it is really good. I got a small one first to see what I thought if it and then bought the bigger one, really helped me.
> Norah really hope you're ok in this horrible weather.

Hi just me again,
Computer playing silly devils and wouldn't let me finish! Just wanted to say love and hugs to everyone and hope everyone stays safe and warm - especially those north of the border.
Sue is there no way you can get rid of the robot thing? I'm having to prove I'm not a robot every day now. Xx

Hello Sue

What a stunning card, traditional christmas colours, and not too fussy. I have still to finish mine, I know I'm way behind, but I'm sure I will get there. Thank you once again Sue for the chance for someone to receive this lovely card.
