Congratulations On Your Wedding

Hello friends!  Recently, I came across some cards from a wedding show that I did last year and I realised that I never posted them.  It seems we always need wedding cards from time to time so they shall have a day on the blog periodically.  I just love the heart tuxedo and dress stamps by Creative Expressions that were used here, aren't they cute!  Basically, I have put together a background from some decorative papers from my stash.  These all have a soft metallic sheen to them so I thought they would be perfect for wedding cards.  I used one of them with some wedding words printed on them as a sort of border across the different panels.  I stamped my sentiment on the lower part of one of the panels in black so it would show up enough (I originally tried it in gold, but it was too hard to read).  I used the Elegant Posts die set and cut a long corner piece to add some detail.  I trimmed the top part of the die so that it would fit flush in my corner.  Using the Art Deco Fanfare embossing folder, I embossed a small piece of card to use as a backdrop for my stamped images.  I stamped the tuxedo hearts in black Archival ink and cut them out by hand.  I stamped them again, but just cut out the bow tie and flower and mounted them up for dimension. I glittered the flower with Iced Snow.   I added small 3mm flatback pearls to the dress heart to look like a necklace. I mounted them with foam, slightly tilting and over lapping them.  Three 5mm flatback pearls were added to the upper corner of the card as an embellishment.  I paper pierced a milk coloured mat layer, then added a thin black mat and a final milk mat to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are  6 1/2" x  8" in size.

The winner of this week's Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway is:

Vie Carter!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card!  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and friends. Happy Weekend, and congrats to Vie, I guess you already know but Sue's cards are even more beautiful when you have them in front of you, so enjoy every inch.
I decided to stop naming my special friends in person as you all know by now who you are, plus at times I felt that some of our Wilsonettes could feel a little 'alone' which we ALL know isn't true but when you are in a black hole, things look so different. So my love, thoughts, condolances etc will always be with those that need extra comfort and support, at the same time those that are celebrating get my best wishes and congrats too : ) hope you see my reasoning behind this xx

When I first saw these new stamps I was delighted as in this day and great new age we are celebrating same gender marriages and yes I have a selection in my card stash to take to market, so I whooped at the screen to you Sue for helping make the designs much easier to do as there are far to few stamp/die designers that give us the tools to make these cards. Saying that, I forgot about these stamps until today as Ive been using my CE stamp set to make my celebration cards for same gender ceremonies, but these will go on my list, thank you for reminding me how useful this stamp set will be.
Im waiting with excitement to see if any of our Wilsonettes have made the new CEDT, and if you have - Im so excited for you and have a wonderful year ahead.
To those needing hugs, then I have loads to give, take as many as you need.
Love you.

morning Sue
Today's gift is just not for me. I'm not a cutie person re cards unless they are for children. I know I'm going to be in the minority today but it's just not hitting the spot.

Pam - take it steady on Monday. I know it's great to get back to work but as soon as you walk in that door the stress starts.
Sandra - Mr E's INR check is on Tuesday. His latest chest xray results are OK so it's just the INR. He has already started with 'perhaps you could get some things together so I can sort out the car' and we haven't got the green light yet. Oh I can see it's going to be fun (not) as we have never left booking ferry etc until the day before we go. I can just see there's going to be one or two 'blue' areas around Wednesday. Watch this space.

Congratulations to the very lucky lady with the Wednesday give away.

A little sunshine this morning but feels quite chilly so it's wrap up time for shopping.
To all who are feeling under the weather and not 100% hope you feel better soon.
To all take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Good morning Sue and Wilsonette Angels,
What a beautiful card Sue but i thought the antique coloured papers were stamped with a back ground stamp and border stamps. As i did my normal and try and guess what you had used i thought that it was stamps and had to read twice to finally realise that it was patterned papers. I made some invites up with these stamps for a friend and she loved them. Thank you Sue for another hit of inspiration.
Well done Vie, you will be so over the moon when you see your beautiful card in the flesh or card rather.
Pam if sitting down after driving, a upturned bucket like Oor Wullies' works wonders for taking the pressure off that ankle. Glad you are looking at back to work and sensibly taking it gradual as it is much easier on the rest of you. ((hugs))
Maria, Rory is loving college, i just hope that he can get a place next year when he wants to go full time, which will be fun as he has never been all week at school as it finishes at 12:00 on a Friday and 3:00 during the week. I am finding it hard not getting phone calls and not going to see mum at night, hence the continuous on the go as i just feel sorry for myself otherwise. I don't know what is going to shrink first my height or my floors with the walking back and forth.
Sandra, i hope that your mum is having a lovely time on her first holiday away on her own. I think as us children grow up and have a family of our own and our parents grow older and frailer, i think we then take on that carer role that they always played. My daddy wouldn't go on holidays so mum started to go herself when she became 50. She went on bus trip holidays as she couldn't walk far, but her trusty camcorder and camera were always by her side. She had a ball on her holidays and like me she was shy quiet and retiring(don't laugh) she would talk to anyone and made some really good friends from all over the world on these trips, so just be waiting with open ears for your mums tales of her holiday, because that is the best bit, the excitement telling of her travels. Are you feeling a bit better today after all your excitement on Wednesday? I maybe couldn't see the excitement in your eyes in person but i could see it in my minds eye with your blog entry. I am glad that Pat, Mrs B and you all had a great day.
Have fun Frances with your care free day of crafting. Peace is wonderful with no one getting on at you for making a mess on the floor because you are in creative mode. Enjoy.
Ita, i am really pleased at your news and your family will be over the moon, but take it easy flower.
Ginnie and her mum, Susi and mum, my thoughts, prayers and hugs are with you girls.
Well my poor hills are feeling the cold and mist this morning. Hubby is away to mum's to do some more in the garden. Kirsten is in bed as just in from nightshift, Rory has just emerged but has been up since 5:00 and probably when been fed will disappear up the stairs again to the x box, so quite house. I will get Kirstens trousers done while she is sleeping and then i can finish off the wedding invites this afternoon. So to all i wish a good day, sending hugs to all the angels who need them,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (glenochil)

First of all I have to add to a post I made earlier this week when I complained about adverts and survey pop-ups appearing when I went onto Sue's blog site.

After trying various options to remove malware and adware from my PC and Sue confirming that she had no such items on her blog site, I did more research and found out what the culprit was.

It was a program call WEBSTEROIDS!!! This can innocently be downloaded to your PC without you realising and forever after it will enable all sorts of survey and adware to display on your PC, very annoying. So if you have been subjected to these unwanted ads and surveys, it can be removed fairly easily. Just search for 'removing websteroids'.

Phew!! That's saved my sanity and now I can enjoy Sue's fabulous cards without any annoying surveys and the like popping up. Peace at last.

Craftihappiness to everyone and love from Pearl.

Good afternoon Sue & friends,
Lovely wedding card today, remember those stamps from launch and thought they would be so useful for everything from invitations to thank you cards!
We have been the support team today for our footballers, although I am not to much of a cheerleader! I suppose I could shake my pom poms from my wheelchair! But may breach the strict 'respect rules' that parents must obey! Luckily the torrential rain stopped 2 mins before the match! Mum is visiting Chichester today and Arundel Castle, one of the ladies with her keeps me updated in secret!
Cameeli, what a nuisance having to work this morning, I hope you are in your craft room now! Have a great weekend xx
Janet, good luck for Tuesday, you should be ok for the ferry, I guess it shouldn't be too busy! Do you not do the tunnel? Xxxx
Norah, I was excited to go out with Sue & Pat, once I get over the anxiety of actually leaving the house, once I was there I was fine, thank heavens for medication!.
What theme are the wedding invitations that you are making? This is where I would live to be able to swap pictures!
Congratulations Vie on your win, you will love your card x
