Best Wishes

Hello friends!  Today's offering is all done in dusty rose, white and soft grey, a pretty combination that I don't use enough!  I had some decorative paper in my stash that I used as my background.  I liked the tone on tone effect of it.  I cut two of the French Borders out of coconut white card and glued them to the sides of the paper.  I matted it with a dusty rose card to give it a bit of colour.  Using the outside cutting edges from the French Collection set called Provence, I cut a larger dusty rose mat and a smaller soft grey mat as a backdrop for my focal element.  I cut the Austrian Collection Salzburg die out of white card, using the inner die with it, but used the separate cutting edge just as an emboss between the two dies.  I like the definition that gives it.  I cut the smaller die in the Provence set out of grey card as an accent for my sentiment, which was stamped and cut out with the oval from the tag set in the Austrian Collection.  I tied a double bow out of the dusty rose frilly edged ribbon and added some silver twine and a silver satin rose.  I made two matching stick pins to finish it off.  The card was then completed by piercing around the edge of a piece of white card.  I cut a thin grey mat and added a final white mat to finish it off.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x  8 1/2" in size.

Good morning Sue and everyone. Love the way you have used both the french and austrian collection dies on this card but I'm picturing it in different colours as I'm sorry but I don't like the grey (know that I will be in the minority here). I think grey is one of those "marmite" colours - you either love it or hate it!
Congratulations Steph - I'm so pleased that you have won Sue's card, I hope it cheers you up after the miserable time you have been having. Sandra - I love your idea of a "Weekend of Wilsonettes" - do you think we'd get any crafting done or would we all be too busy trying to put faces to names!
Congratulations to anyone celebrating this weekend and hugs to all in pain for whatever reason. Sue xxx

morning Sue
What a beautiful beautiful way to start a very very cold/dull/wet day here.
Today's gift is just so so special; truly elegant and very regal. Who wouldn't love to receive a gift such as this for either their bday or silver wedding anniv or just because. It certainly takes pride of place in my book and would definitely be framed for me to place it as a work of art. As you may just guess I really love today's gift.

Steph - I can hear the screams of delight down here in Sheffield. You are one very lucky girl and I'm not one bit envious well perhaps just a little(lol).
Sandra - wouldn't it be lovely to have a half way house. If only we all had a pair of red sparkly shoes and then we could click our heels and be in............
Norah - you're still here in my heart.

So Wilsonette Sisters it's World Animal day today so please give a thought to all the poor animals who may need a little tlc and start putting feeders etc in the garden. Autumn is now well and truly here and they need a little help.

Off to meet Mr E's Niece and our adopted grandchildren today for our fortnightly cup of coffee and catch up.
To all in need and not feeling too good at the moment hugs and hope you feel better soon. To all take care and stay safe. See you all tomorrow.

Kitty congrats on the safe arrival of your new grandson.
Cameeli I hope everything slots back into place very soon and you are feeling brighter again.
Pam hope your ankle is behaving.
Norah I hope you and Rory are doing well and getting your Mum's garden up straight.
I have my dog looking expectantly at me so I think that means I'm off to get wet. Don't feel like walking as I have a cold still he needs his exercise and it's my job in the morning as I can manage it and hubby does the afternoons.
To all have a good weekend although I think the weather has definitely now changed.

Good morning Sue & friends
Oh what a pretty card today, I love it and the lovely colours you have used, I imagine you have a rather large stash of papers, I would love to see a picture of your real craft room, where all the magic happens! Can I ask a question Sue, when you are sat down to create a card do you start with an idea in your head and then cut the dies you need or do you have lots of die cuts pre cut and just sit and play with them until you get a combination that you like? I have been meaning ask you for ages, xxx
Mrs B, I hope you are feeling brighter, missing you xx
Steph, I couldn't be more thrilled, you really need that prize card at the moment, I hope it brings a smile to your face, congratulations, I have all of my Sue cards up on the wall in my craft room! Hope you are feeling better too xxx
Pat (Witney) have you decided on a day to play? I can't do Monday or Tuesday but any other time is fine, poor old Pete, having to rub the door down and start again, how did he not notice the 'bits' in the paint? Maybe he was dipping his biscuits in the wrong pot while he was multi tasking, if he's anything like Paul the kettle is never off when he's home! He has good taste in board games, I love a game of scrabble, they all get frustrated with me though as I can't just play and let them do their turn, I am always trying to find them ways of getting extra points! I don't mind if I don't win!
Today I have set myself a challenge to use dies from years ago when I first started collecting them, back in the day when Sue did the launch shows on Create and Craft, in those days the Spellbinders used to sell out virtually after the first showing, it used to amaze me that Sue made all of her own sample/promotional cards. Now their spellbinder collections seem to drag on for weeks mainly because of the lack of inspiration from the cards that are used as samples, I have seen many different demonstrators and apart from Christine Emberson and Julia & Sam of course, none come anywhere near the very inspirational Sue W! In my opinion of course!
Anyway must go rummage through the 'archived' Spellbinders and have a play, it's all quiet here as Paul has taken the girls to a football match, it's very wet and windy today so I am staying home in the warm!
Crafty hugs to everybody

Dearest Sue and Wilsonette Angels,
What a pretty card today in the soft dove grey, pink and white. I missed the grey foundations card and it is such a beautiful colour. I think this is one i will need to hunt out at the SECC later this month. I do love this french border as it is so pretty and filigree looking. I think that this has to be my favourite of all the borders you have done and that is a hard thing to say as i love my SW dies because they are different and make so many different styles of card.
Oh Steph, i am so happy that you have won this weeks card. I know it will not take away any of your pain or rash but i hope sincerely that this has made your day and at least makes it more bearable today my dear friend. Thank you one special lady for bringing such happiness to me today for another special lady as she is so special, so determined and needs that wee bit lift and what a lift.((HUGS))
TxCowgirl Dawn, have fun playing with your new toys as i know the excitement that i have waiting on them coming and it only takes a day or two from Joanna, but please take it easy though as we don't want you landing back in your bed, although i bet that was the best kind of medicine that you could ever have.
Cheryl flower, i am thinking of you and sincerely hope that they got all out and you can fully recover. Keep that fighting instinct going flower and the power of positive thinking and you will get through this and beat it. Sending you gentle hugs as i don't want to hurt you.
Oh boy Sandra, would i not love that idea of a Wilsonette Retreat, but the question is would there be enough room for us all? I think i would be camping out for days before hand to make sure i got a place. I know that there is silly people out there camp out for days for a sale but a retreat would be a far better reason to camp out to get a place.
Pat L, it is wonderful news about wee Sarah, i know that it will take time but what a boost it must give you and her family and such hope for her to start seeing a difference already. Sending her hugs just to spur her on.
Can i just say to all the very special people here thank you for all the hugs and hopes that you fill me with. It sometimes feels like a one woman battle taking on everyone for Rory, but the encouragement that you all give makes me think that i am doing things right in my crusade for Rory. I bet the powers that be think it is a right old battleaxe that is questioning their methods and their ideas, but who else will fight and stand up for my beautiful boy if i don't. Mountains out of molehills have been said to be by both family and professionals and my expectations are too high but i only want what is best for him. What a beautiful lot of people come into my world each day i come on to Sue's blog and i thank my lucky stars the day i wrote down her blog address because i have found some of the world's most beautiful people.
From a dank and dreerie day up here in Glenochil i wish everyone a good day and hugs to all my very special friends.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (glenochil)

Hi Sue, you've been very busy making some stunning cards over the last couple of weeks.
Sorry I've not followed to closely as I've been away in Egypt and on return found that we had been burgled while away. Our wonderful daughter dealt with it all so we returned to a clean and tidy house. The thieves only took my jewellery, thank goodness. It's left us feeling rather strange as if it hasn't really happened.
Keep bring your wonderful cards.

Regards Zena x

Hello Sue. This is Maggie (better without a bow) here to say that from now my comments will be erratic to say the least. I'm off to Australia to visit my daughter. Yippee. I shall be back in a month and will say hello again then. I shall certainly miss my daily Sue Wilson fix but don't think that I shall be within reach of wifi very often so will have to make do without you all. Keep crafting and I shall look forward to catching up on my return. Love Maggie (better without a bow) xx
